10 Common Needy Mistakes Guys Make with Women

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

One of the quickest ways to turn a woman off is to act like a needy, insecure & desperate man. Women find this behavior from a guy to be repulsive & the more he communicate these traits, the quicker she will lose attraction & leave him.
In this Attraction Tips video I explain the 10 common needy mistakes I typically see guys make with women. These needy mistakes seem subtle, but they make the world of a difference; especially in the beginning dating stages of the relationship. Needy men are one of the biggest turn-offs for women. #NeedyMen #WomensTurnOffs #InsecureMen #MensDatingTips

    basically, when you do something too many time it starts to lose meaning and feels less genuine, sometimes i even start questioning the guy's motives when he starts overdoing it. just work on your confidence, relax and it will feel natural to you and her, it's not complicated, its just that insecurity can rarely be hidden and it starts showing in everything you do. that's at least what i've noticed.

    I was browsing youtube to figure out why I am so turned off by the guy I am dating. I was feeling so guilty for finding a nice person repulsive. And there you go, all the 10 things hit home and I feel like running and hiding. It's not that women want to be treated bad, but I really expect a guy to have his own life. When he is so focused on me it feels like being stalked and being pressured to feel something that I eventually won't. This is a really insightful video for both sexes. Thanks for putting it out there .

    That's true. Though, my videos are geared towards men, most of what I teach could be applied for women as well. There are some, usually subtle, differences, but for the most part this is human psychology. In terms of neediness, men are typically a bit more tolerant of it coming from women...however, women are almost never tolerant of it coming from men.

My husband constantly sends texts, calls numerous times for very small reasons and pouts if he doesn’t get attention all the time. It’s super disruptive and inconsiderate. This is one of the few advice videos that are actually sensible and down to earth. It doesn't portray women like insane people, just really cautious ones, and it doesn't tell us men to be less than human (desensitized, ultra confident, incapable of being hurt). Since a lot of these "relationship advice" videos are ONLY about getting women into bed, which is alright and some people may only want that, but you're one of the few to actually mention a serious relationship. This new guy is acting soo needy and desperate that he is making me reminisce about my ex (who is apparently considered to be a " Chad"- a term I learned while navigating here on KZread) . He is overdoing everything so much so soon , that I am starting to strategize a way out of his life. I don't want to just block him , because he seems to be a nice guy. However my body jumps literally every time I get a text or a phone call now... ...I am starting to develop anxiety- as I feel suffocated and drained from our interactions- and I am sure that this is the complete opposite of what he wants from me. I didn't really know what I was dealing with at first, but he displays everything that you mentioned here. I wanted to see where things would go, but I am totally turned off.

    Yes, "Chad" = alpha...or sexy guy who knows how to keep a woman attracted, even if he might be a jerk sometimes. You're in a position that many women find themselves in these days. While he may be sweet, good looking & "nice", he's also smothering, needy, exhausting & ultimately unattractive. It's difficult, but the best thing that you can do when you want to get through to a man is to be direct. That's the only language men understand clearly. Either way, thanks for sharing & confirming why needy men are such a turn-off.

    Good vid! I unfortunately made almost all of these mistakes in my previous relationship. For me a lot of this came from a lack of confidence, a lack of self esteem, lack of self love (getting attached and relying her for happiness), thinking all you have to do is be nice/kind, lack of experience, trying too hard, a warped perception of how relationships works, and all that crap. It was a good learning experience though, you gotta love yourself and believe in yourself before you really begin to love others.

    @@zyrxsounds You first want to understand how female attraction works. You can learn from my videos & other coach's videos. I can also recommend some books if you would like. Once you begin to understand that it will be much easier for you to know what to do & what NOT to do when it comes to women. It will also help you to begin a lifestyle change. If you're having problems now, that means what you have been doing in your life so far doesn't work. Women are most attracted to men who dominate in life, so you want to pursue your goals/hobbies, your health/fitness (body, mind, spirit), & building/maintaining your social circle...including getting comfortable talking & flirting with women. Doing just what I've mentioned here will have you WAY ahead of 90% of the men who would be your competition, plus you will notice your confidence rising significantly. Women LOVE confident men.

    That's an easy trap to fall into. It's not about NOT showing her affection, women love that! It's about being cognizant of where she is at emotionally in that moment (women's emotions are always in flux...one moment they're crazy about you, the next they don't want to be around you), but not showing hr ore affection than she's showing you. You must always give women the idea that they have to earn your affection, because once they take it for granted they begin to pull away & become distant. And if you chase her, it only makes it worse.

    It’s quite sad that we guys are going out of our busy day to keep in touch with a girl and actually putting effort into developing a relashionship just to find out we are being needie and doing too much.. i’m a victim of this. Last year a girl i knew starting texting me and i didn’t like her that much i was giving short answers and stuff. Currenly i’m starting to like her a lot and when i finnaly got the balls to text her it was great at the start... she wanted to meet up and stuff but now.. she doesn’t really text and not once she has taken interest in asking how i’m doing... crazy world we live in🤔

    And this is why I teach this stuff. Society, religion & our own logical male brains have thrown us men so far off course when it comes to attracting women & having healthy, fulfilling relationships. The reason why she's not chasing you anymore is because you are chasing her. Relationships are feminine energy & you trying to have one with her is confusing her emotionally. If you could have the same 'take it or leave it' attitude that you did when she was chasing you, she would begin chasing you again. The only difference now is that, you like her would be to make a date with her when she does reach out to you. Let her come to you.

    This girl made me feel a little needy not gonna lie. Long story short i called her the other day, we talked a lot both very engaged in the convo (this was a day after out first date which went extremely well I'd say). Then near the end she kinda hints that I should stop calling her by saying: We'll talk soon but it doesn't have to be tomorrow cause you're busy right?" At that point I knew exactly what she was telling me: "You're being a little needy, back off and let me miss you." Im not contacting her first anymore, . Risky but whatever If it's meant to be, she'll come around, if not then it's not.

In fact, many men's coaches don't recommend marrying a woman until they're in their 30s at least, as we have to build our value & that of curse takes time. We should be taught this in school! Breakups certainly hurt, especially after being together for so long & him unilaterally ending the relationship. However, sometimes if you just give him some time & space (ie: no contact), they realize that the breakup was a mistake & they don't like life without you. Plus, you've had 10 years together...that's not easy for anyone to walk away from. It would be most beneficial for you to work on & focus on yourself during this no contact period; goals/hobbies, health/fitness (body, mind, spirit), & being social. That will help to keep your mind a bit distracted, bring you sense of accomplishment, & also increases your attractiveness.

    Getting 25 calls in a 12 hour period is too much for me, especially when 7 of those calls are within the same hour. I have a routine, when I like to go to bed and when I get up. I feel like I have to cut my phone off simply to think. I have my own things to do, work to get done...and he is always telling me to blow it off and come spend the day with him. He always wants to see what's on my phone, who I talk to (family included). I'm at my wits end. I've talked to him about it, tried to interject some humor...he doesn't see it, just gets his feelings hurt. I'm not cold or callous but I'm really starting to resent this unhealthy need for attention.

  • @SkillofAttraction

    @SkillofAttraction

    4 жыл бұрын

    That does not sound like a healthy situation at all. And sad to say, but these situations typically don't get better, but worse over time. The trick to get through to men is to be completely direct. If you're hinting or indirectly trying to get him to understand so you won't hurt his feelings, there's a good chance that there's too much grey area & he's not going to get it. Men & women communicate very differently, & while we're not idiots, we take words at face value. We process the exact words that come out of your mouth, typically not picking up on any subtle nuances. So, if you're not being completely direct with him, I recommend to try that. It can be difficult to be that direct with people, especially when you're trying to spare their feelings, but sometimes it's the only way.

You always want to take things at her pace, while you just focus on arranging dates, having fun with her & gently leading the interaction into the bedroom. She will begin to hint at something more serious when she's ready for that. In your case, since she ended things, just do not chase her & let her come to you.

    In regards to “having the talk” - I messed it up by asking that at around 2/3 months in and it changed the dynamic of the relationship a lot. I never mentioned it again and even did no contact and she came running back after two weeks. Now we’re 7 months in and I’m ready for a relationship but she says she still isn’t and doesn’t know when she will be. So I’m genuinely losing interest now and starting to pull away or might even give her up totally. So at SOME point you’ve got to have “the talk” or she might just be taking you for a ride, right? Having her proverbial cake and eating it. All the benefits of a BF with zero responsibility or real commitment. I know she has strong feelings for me but I need to see it’s moving in the right direction instead of just being a stagnant “relationship”.

    When you're in that situation it's best that you start pulling away & get back out in the dating market. You're not doing anything wrong by dating other women, & if she truly wants you the threat of another woman will have her locking you down. the thing is you can't offer that information...you can't tell her, "Hey, I'm dating other women now", but she will sense your emotional distance. Also, you don't want to give a woman all the boyfriend perks when she's not making you her boyfriend. Like you said, she's having her cake & eating it too...she has no reason to lock you down, because she gets everything she wants & needs without having to commit.

    There's always a chance, but you have to start communicating a higher value to her. For starters, as I already mentioned, do NOT initiate any contact with her. This sends her a message that you have self respect & self worth. A man that has those qualities doesn't chase women & he doesn't try to convince them he's the man for her. I realize it's counter-intuitive, but this communicates value.

Then try to lead by example. However, you don't want to be afraid of losing her/relationship. It may not work out, but when you fear losing it/her, you begin to behave in needy ways.

When she does contact you, tell her that you want to see her & ask her when she's free to get together. I know this is also how magnets working, but I wanna believe that in relationships between man and woman there should be something more then how two piece of metal follow the rules of physics. • @SkillofAttraction

    @SkillofAttraction

    Жыл бұрын

    Yes, passive aggressive behavior is a turn off. I often tell men to never act passive aggressive or butthurt, as it shows a lack of internal strength. His passive aggressive response tells me that he's upset with your lack of contact & feels powerless. Besides no contact being for you so you can heal & move on, the other part of it is to give them a taste of life without you & to get them to a place where they begin to think, "If I don't take action I might lose him/her forever". There's no guarantees that it will work in your favor, so you want to be doing no contact for the right reasons (so you can heal), without attachment to an outcome. But if he cares enough, your strict no contact will eventually drive him fear of losing you forever...IF he cares enough.

  • @SkillofAttraction

    @SkillofAttraction

    5 жыл бұрын

    Yes, it does take some time, practice & discipline. You have to really want to make the changes, otherwise you will never follow through. In order to make these changes, you will have to "fake it till you make it"...in other words, you will have to be conscious about it until you internalize it & it becomes part of your nature. To make these changes without upsetting her you must implement them slowly. In other words, if you usually initiate contact every day, this week don't initiate one day during the week. In two weeks, don't initiate two times during the week. You must do it slowly, like the "frog in boiling water" analogy. If you place a frog into boiling water it will jump out, but if you put the frog into cool water & slowly bring it to a boil, it won't know the difference.

As a man, it's important that you focus mostly on building yourself up & your mission in life. It's counter-intuitive, but women actually find this very attractive in a man...just as long as you still make time for her where you can be 100% present with her. Women want to come along for the ride that is your fun & interesting life. They don't want a man who joins her for the ride. Everything was going well for the first half-hour until I asked her a question about her setting up an OnlyFans which she had joked about in one of her texts during the week. From then, the atmosphere changed and she challenged me saying “that’s weird that you’re asking me that.” I didn’t let it rock me and just said I was joking and moved the conversation along. But things just seemed tense from then. She said her room had been decorated so I asked “did you do it?” and she said yes, to which I replied “really?” She then got into this argument about whether I would have said that to a guy and I acted cool and said I’d say it anyone. Then we got into a weird standoff where I tried to play “you’re feisty you aren’t you?” to which she replied “no, I just give my opinion.” We ended the call because it wasn’t going anywhere, but I wanted to know what happened so I messaged her asking “at what point did you realise we weren’t a match?” to which she replied “when you stopped biting. I was pushing for a debate/response and you let it go. I was like ahh he doesn’t wanna fight.” I thought all this dating sh*t was trying to stay grounded and not let a woman move you off your centre. I matched with this girl on Hinge during the pandemic in Britain. We’ve been talking a month, I wanted to get her out quickly, but I was patient and waited until she was comfortable. So we began using voice notes and had a phone call and we agreed to meet last weekend. Bearing in mind that she didn’t stop laughing on the phone or when we’ve been texting, we have also been flirting and teasing each other, making the interactions fun. So, we finally met, I took the train and she met me at the station in her car. Immediately I went for the physical so I said “come on let’s have a hug”. We went for a good walk where we talked about life in general and I teased her a lot e.g. she knew the area, but one of the paths was incredibly muddy so I said “if it’s really bad I know who to blame”. She didn’t stop laughing at the things I was saying. We went to the store to buy ingredients to cook that night and even that was fun. I made sure I led the way, taking the basket etc. We went back to hers where I cooked a spaghetti Bolognese and where we teased each other and it just genuinely felt like we knew each other already. I went for the kiss, rubbed her nose before and gave her a quick kiss but she seemed shocked and went red so I pulled back. We ate dinner where she found out I liked country and she seemed really into it plus she didn’t stop asking me questions, had a game of scrabble where the banter was flying about how bad the other’s words were. We were making references about future plans. She said something like “well next time I’ll use my dictionary”. Anyway, I kept putting my leg on hers, initiating touch. She took me to the station and before I left, we shared a few kisses where both of us leaned in. She even touched my chest saying “you’re really warm”. I thought bingo. Got home, sent her a jokey message about her car because she’s got her own personalized number plate and then I said “I enjoyed myself today, especially winning at Scrabble with a gooseberry gin” to which she replied “Gooseberry gin was good, Scrabble hmmm…Company wasn’t bad though” with a smiley, cheeks blushing emoji. I replied “10/10 choice by me getting the gooseberry, bet you were sole destroyed at losing”. She’s a shoemaker so I always shoe puns with her to tease. But, she hasn’t replied. She did say she was meeting her friends the day after, but she read my message at 8:30am and was online for most of the day and I didn't get a reply. I truly thought I did everything right.

Not accepting a woman's LJBF offer can often change their attitude, because you show strength & confidence.

    Stop doing all these things...when you feel that you're about to do them again, stop yourself. Eventually, if you're consistent, it will become a habit. But for now, don't chase after her...let her come to you. When she does, greet her with an upbeat & playful attitude & arrange a date. Don't talk about relationships...just focus on getting her out on dates (once a week a the most for right now), having fun with her, & gently leading her into the bedroom. That's it. If you give her space & remain patient & strong (non-needy), she will take care of the relationship stuff. Don't try to pressure her about relationship stuff, giving you affection or sex.

    Wow! Truer words were never spoken. I had to laugh many times as I just started seeing someone who exhibits most of these behaviours. It's only been 2 months and I am very close to ending it even though I was very attracted to him initially. Today I received 7 texts in a row within a 4 hour time frame without me responding once. What a turn off.

    It definitely sounds like you just may have a needy man on your hands. As I tell many men, nature has already taken care of the attraction, it's up to you (men) not to blow it with desperate & needy behavior. Thanks for commenting...

    A relationship is about growing together 2 just because someone is needy does not mean you should just leave without working on the dynamic.

    While that's true, women don't like to have to teach a man how to be a man.

    When a woman gives me attitude i dont like, i usually pull away until she comes back with a more desirable attitude. Is it wrong to tell her exactly what about her words or actions I didn't like? Rollo Tomasi says to demonstrate never explicate. I get that, but is there ever a time to overtly tell her what it was I didn't like about her behavior?

    Absolutely! You still have to communicate with your words, however you must also back that up with your actions. If you just tell her with your words it won't register with her nearly as much as when she FEELS the repercussions to her own actions. You also want to be sure that you remain centered (keep frame) when telling her this..be calm, but firm.

    I was wondering if you have any content about shy girls that may otherwise be interested but need more encouragement and effort from the man's side than the average woman?
