10 Cheapest Places in Florida to Live Buy a Home. (nice places)

10 Cheapest Places in Florida to Buy a Home. (nice places)
Welcome back. Let’s take a look at Florida.
Affordable housing in nice places is getting harder and harder to find these days.
Today we will list 10 places in Florida that are affordable and still a nice place to live.
So what is affordable? Well, that would be places that have a cost of living and housing around the national average. What is a nice place to live? That will be a place with a crime rate and unemployment below the national average.
We also look into how the locals grade their town or neighborhood.
Florida has a great housing market if you know where to look. If you are from Florida you may already know about these places already.
Florida has been gaining population for the last few decades and it really doesn't look like that will slow down anytime soon.

For 2023, it’s hard to nail down specific predictions for the housing market is because it’s not yet clear how quickly or how much the Federal Reserve can bring down inflation and borrowing costs without tanking buyer demand for everything from homes to cars.

I've lived here all my life and the cost of everything has gone up 200% in the last 7 years. 7 years ago I paid 850 bucks a month for a beautiful 2 bedroom condo 3 miles from the beach. Same place now is over 2000 a month! And no wages haven't gone up. They only increase, if you're lucky, by 2-3% every year. I am thinking after living here all my life I might have to move when I retire. Retired people are moving away from the state that's known as the retirement state! 🤨😵‍💫🤔😳

Just research a lot of places online and then your heart homes onto one city or region. Then research more and you will know which place you want to call home. Then look for home to rent or buy and settle down. Every region has a very different vibe. South Florida [Miami/Ft Lauderdale/West Palm beach] totally different from the Orlando area which is very different from Tampa/St Pete. Then there is Destin and many wonderful cities on the panhandle. Then Sarasota, Naples and a ton of cities on the other coast/Gulf of Mexico. Not to forget Jacksonville, Daytona Beach, and many other charming towns.

I checked out 'all over' FL about twenty years ago, when searching for a new place to live, leaving an overcrowded SO. CA. I fell for the area west of Ocala after seeing the 'horse country. But then the real estate woman who was a native said if you see a puddle of water assume an alligator is living in it, but you will be ok. That and watching the weather channel and the storms I opted for a flyover state in the middle of the U.S. with lots of rivers, lakes, and tall trees. Am very happy with the decision. Much lower cost of living and very low crime in the rural areas.

I enjoy the St.Lucie West area and Tradition area, as well driving down the A1A and going to Jensen Beach. I would say Port Saint Lucie is relatively safe for its population and the county as a whole although I’m not crazy about Fort Pierce. I do like the close access to the I95, US1 the Turnpike and the A1A. There’s a good bit of stores, shopping and food places to venture to. As for houses it’s going up and houses are always being built on any land that can be used. I lived for about a year so I’m still learning so much about the region, but I’ve loved Florida ever since I was kid, all in all I’m content👍🏾

Love Florida, I live in Safety Harbor (across the bay from Oldsmar) as a 23 year old male and I bike everywhere and everyday is a dream. I just don’t understand why people complain about it so much, cause shocker the whole state is very different everywhere you go, and when I travel I find something cool off the beaten path. Idk I just tell people give it a try, cause Florida right now is growing. And I personallly think for the better, I have friends from all over the world and we all are on this adventure together and there is so much to do. Right now there are so many new shops and restaurants popping up (Thank you Governor DeSantis!) even my neighborhood has homes that are being renovated or even new homes. It’s very exiting being apart of the growth of Florida and you will never get bored.

This sounds like the type of place I’m looking for, for a temporary time. My worry is being bored(which no offense, most of the places I. The video looked that way) and not having easy access to everything. I need to be close to the ocean, good public transportation as a back up, lots of diverse stores and people, and plenty of nature(that’s actually enjoyable vs everything wants to eat you) 😝. I live in a very metro area outside NYC so there’s always something to do ;). Also a very safe are is a big priority to me.

@@erinaustin2157 Yah I grew up in Fairfield County, Connecticut. I was very close to Boston, Philly was a 3 hour train. In Florida, the Tampa airport is 20 min way, downtown is 25 min. Hooneymoon island is 15 min away, same with Clearwater beach. Saint Pete is 35 min, Sarasota is an hour, we have weeki wacki an hour away with it’s beautiful spring. Orlando is 2 hours away and Miami is 4 hours away. Traffic In the area is very timed in Pinellas county, so just know when those tiems are and you can somewhat avoid traffic. I would say everything is SUPER accessible. My suggestion if your looking at the area. I would avoid anything below the gulf to bay road line, So good towns are Dunedin, Saftey Harbor, Palm Harbor, Tarpon Springs, East Lake, Odessa (more land for your money) and Oldsmar. Right now Dunedin has about 10 new shops being built, they have a brand new city hall which is beautiful. Idk I’ve been here 4 years and I’m still finding new things to do. 4:29 There must be several Port Orange(s) in Florida, because I lived in one too, near Daytona Beach.

Love the vid. So happy to see my city is number 1. The boom of construction here shows people know about it.

I enjoyed this video so very much. Thank you. Listening to the crime rates it got me wondering where the lowest is...you probably already have a video for that so I will look around on your channel for it. Also where are the least expensive homes...decent ones, move in ready if nothing else mattered and someone wanted as much home as they could afford. I love your videos!

It sure isn’t Dade, Broward, or Palm Beach County. Miami my home town since 1956, moved in 1982, but it’s extremely expensive to live in these three counties.
