Anchored by the impressive 1890’s courthouse with its statue of the country music superstar on the front lawn, a number of mom and pop businesses including casual and fine dining restaurants have opened inside historic century-old buildings. Colorful murals painted on the outside of buildings compliment a streetscape makeover designed to look like the early 1900s. I'm a KZreadr and I drove from Connecticut just to go film at Smokey Mountain Knife Works. I had no idea this town was so awesome. I found Buc-ee's by accident, and that place is absolutely wonderful. There are two helicopter tour places right there for like $50 - $100 per person. Also, Tennessee shine co moonshine place is there as well. Amazing town. I want to move there now. Thank you for making this video, I had no idea downtown was that big as well.

Cas Walker was a well-known grocer in east Tennessee. He had a 7 am daily morning program on local Knoxville station. Not only did Dolly perform on his show frequently but so did a cleaned-up suit wearing Willie Nelson

Been traveling in Tennessee for lover 50 years. There is many towns I like, including this one. Sorry to see Buc-ee’s there. I am also sorry the largest will be built in Florida in my city. Not good the people and 100’s of millions in tax dollars, state and local to help with build. Plus. Many jobs will be lost.
