Be careful its more than just that. You need to first of all make sure both fish are very healthy, male is already blowing bubbles, and both male and female are fed very well on live foods for 2 weeks PRIOR TO INTRODUCTION. The best pairings is when females dont run away at all but are very interested in the male and nest and go right under the nest to study and approve of the nest. some females will even help build the nest and pick up eggs with the male. But females will refuse to mate with a male no matter what. Have a few females ready. Then place a thin cloth over the fish to give them privacy when mating. Also in the video the water level is too short. Id say they should have added at least 5cm more water. Its so that they have more space to turn, especially for large finned halfmoons.

Sadly didn't succed for now. My betta is not at all interested in mating 🙃 but maybe in the future so I still have some hope

@user-zo7xi8dg1s all good there are many good videos out there showing betta mating. Watch as many as you can and then try again. Sometimes a betta is too old or too young, sick, too cold, too hot, water ph wrong, or just not interested. Many reasons. I recommend buying straight from a breeder as they can tell you more about their genetics and their age than a pet store who buy them in bulk. Lastly don't forget making them breed is the easiest thing compared tp raising their fry. It's much harder to keep them alive. Have baby brine shrimp already ready, and water change every day. My first time I only kept 3 fry alive out of hundreds. In my life I've killed thousands of bettas. Mistakes happen. Don't worry, even though I still feel sad for killing so many

Male betta is in stress, usually because he saw "predator", he ate the fry to prevent fry lures predator to his territory, Usually at this rate, he thought the predator was you 1. Dont check the breeding box too often, once a day is enough everytime you feed them 2. If you and your betta often interact it will lower thr possibility of him seeing you as a threat 3. Thet are most sensitive when mating,.so be careful

I use a small hose if necessary but normally the actual mating process is just a day. The introduction process can take up to a week but you can water change anytime during introduction

Rasing betta fries I have a video but not yet edited. Will post soon. Feed them with high protein food like bbs or egg or daphnia or similar. Separate them when they are big, this normally takes about 45 days or so

Try to feed them with high protein food like steam egg, I have a video how to make this. Or try feeding with live food. Water change frequently with stocked water then maybe he will make bubble nest

Great info in this video. Just a small thing: the plural, when speaking of young fish, is fry (not fries). This doesn't affect the quality of Betta breeding info at all, and I know it is a mistake sometimes made (especially common for people newer to English, for obvious reasons) - but now that people find so much of their fish care & breeding education via KZread, it'd be great if some of the best info sources could support viewers in learning this aspect too - a thought for future videos perhaps! (Of which I hope there are many!) Anyway, how annoying of me to spend so long on the one tiny thing "I" would like to be different, lol - it really was a wonderful video, very well done and put together in an informative and entertaining way.

some breeders feed, some don't. But most of my breeding I don't feed him while he is attending to the eggs or to the fry. I feed him before he attends the eggs and after he is removed from the fries. It depends what works for you though :) Thanks for watching!

You can put a plastic barrier around the female first before breeding so they won't fight as much :)

Hi , I have 2 questions i ill be happy if i can get an awsner 1.What temp has to be the water ? my room is mostly 20 - 22 celcuis but now i have a heater in the tank and set it to 28-29 celcius 2. Do i need an filterpump ? for breeding . Ty

Bro first of all 1 0r 2 week condition your male and female by giving live food Then your pair is capable to breed

But he is not stoping he is fighting again and again

so while the male is tending to the eggs, you shouldn't feed him at all?!

Yes on my end. Some breeders feed during breeding but this will also affect the reaction of the male. Some males eat thier fries if you fees them while skme don't. So it really depends on your preference. I personally choose not to feed the male during breeding. Thanks for watching!

If they feel threatened they will eat their eggs. So put a lid on the container and dont disturb them :)
