Coming from someone who was at the first one live... it SUCKED. You had no clue what to follow in the ring. A good portion of the audience, myself included, didn't even see Hogan get pulled UNDER the ropes so we thought we had missed the elimination and he was just a sore loser like in 92. That entire PPV was a tragedy to watch live. If people don't remember, this was during Hogan's tease of a darker character wearing all black and there was a promo segment where he was supposed to remove the black and go back to yellow and red.... problem was no one could hear a word he said because the audio wasn't going out to the crowd so we didn't cheer and it was just crickets.

Watching Royal Rumble matches on KZread was what got me interested in watching wrestling a few years back.

One of my favorite shows of all time was Lucha Underground and they had so many awesome match stips. Most of them were riffs on classics but had so much flair. Grave Consequences is a casket match where the opponent actually "dies," Hell of War was 3 stages of hell on steroids, and Aztec Warfare is my favorite ever riff on the Royal Rumble. Also it had the funniest stipulation of all time: The Believers Backlash. A lumberjack match where the crowd was the lumberjacks with weapons, and everyone hated Hernandez so much that the whole crowd just kind of beat the hell out of him 😂

Yes! I was shocked at the lack of Lucha Underground stipulations. Grave Consequences is the best coffin match stipulation and had the absolute best coffin matches. Believer's Backlash was insanely entertaining and I loved old school lumber jack matches. Controversial but here's my take: Aztec Warfare>Royal Rumble

Those matches have quickly become one of my favorite stips!!!

I think my first iron man match was Angle/Lesnar, so I have a very positive association with them. I really love the psychology of using submissions in iron man matches. The choice between struggling to try to break the submission, but risk being injured throughout the rest of the match, versus immediately tapping, giving up a fall, but preserving yourself can create great storytelling.

I absolutely love this trio for tlc, they always have the funniest chats with each pick. 💜

Luke not having Raven's Rules is the biggest shocker of any of these list shows

Maaaan was number 8 hilarious. Sully was dying hearing the description of peak TNA EDIT: okay seeing as it kept going, I propose a series where Luke takes people through the various gimmick matches TNA invented throughout the years. Or just Sully, that would do wonders 😂 EDIT: Again…Sully is the best. THIS ONE HAS CUPBOARDS IN THE MATCH. I’m so dead 🤣

One of my favorite things about TLC is how it's invention felt so organic. Having the three teams, each with their specialty object, going head to head in a match meant to show off all of their strengths was such a good and cool idea (even if it is just essentially a ladder match with more weapons) and then it translated so well into a match others could do and put their own spins on it.

I don't believe Luke is a 2000s TNA fan at all. I didnt hear one mention of King of the Mountain.

Hardcore match is just a falls count anywhere match which is different than no DQ/ Extreme Rules/ Street Fight/ No Holds Barred etc matches where the win has to happen in the ring.

a lil honorable to the AR fox vs. KIllshot under the "three stages of hell" type match, coz goddamn that might be my fave one from that archtype

My all-time favorite Iron Survivor moment was 2022 with Grayson Waller entering, immediately hitting his finish on both Axiom and JD McDonaugh and pinning them both, racing into the lead.

Texas Death has quickly rocketed up my list of things that make me excited for a feud. Casino gauntlet match has the potential to be a top 5 for me because we're 2 for 2 of being so much fun to watch.

I expect the worst stipulations soon, although certain match stipulation need some fine tuning. Take Hair vs Hair for example, they have a match then a chase to cut the losers hair who almost cuts the winners hair. What they should do is treat it like an ambulance match where they have to lock the person in the chair similar to the chair in the WM Holly v Victoria match.

Sullivan's laugh is a representation of my childhood

The look of disbelief on Pete's face after Luke called him an e-drone was hilarious. A laugh out loud moment on my lunch break. People looked at me like I was crazy.

All the TLCs should be these 3. This is the best trio for this series. Not even halfway and I'm in tears laughing

I did this myself as a thought exercise and wound up putting 2-out-of-3 falls in third place. maybe that paints me as boring, but I have a thing for stipulations that add more of a real sports feel instead of plunder and gimmicks, and while I also love iron man matches, I think 2-out-of-3 falls strikes a great balance between those and a regular match. plus, I mean. okada-omega IV. that's a pretty big point in their favor.

More Sullivan please! Just seeing him make Pete break is so much fun!

It only happened once to my knowledge but a best of seven series is also a good one. That trios feud between Death Triangle and The Elite was amazing.

Easiest number one pick ever. Nothing beats the Rumble stipulation, and even when it is below expectations it's still pretty enjoyable.

Pete's quote about the Rumble and how it's a time capsule is so true. When I watch them back that's exactly how I feel.

Pete: “I put no-DQ matches on here twice, sue me!” Also Pete: **puts TLC as a 3rd**

I grew up watching TNA more often than WWE in the 2000s, so it’s always amusing to me when Luke picks some weird TNA stipulation and my reaction is like “oh yeah, sure” and I remember not everyone is acclimated to the TNA-ness of some of their stuff lol

This might be a hot take, but the firefly fun house match was a top 10 match stipulation. I know it's arguably not a "wrestling match", but it was probably the most unique and insanely well choreographed match of all. It was one of the best ways to take advantage of the no audience pandemic era wrestling.

Luke's love for a certain era of Wrestling and Sullys need to grill him on it is fantastic viewing haha

Royal Rumbles are great, but I think early on they ran the risk of getting stale. Adding the world title to 1992 and then title shots every year after turned an okay gimmick into a must-watch, must-win event.

I don't know if y'all have ever done this, but a TLC of "Best Title Changes on TV" could be a fun list to do. Because it is one thing to have the title change hands on a PPV, but having the title change hands on weekly programming just feels different. I was thinking it could just be main titles, but I guess y'all could open it up to any title. Oh, but I will say, excluding MITB cash ins. I think y'all should rank the best matches in which the title changes hands.

Luke is legitimately crazy for not having elimination chamber on there, never-ending having the trash heap that is monsters ball on there instead.
