Mokaev will keep coming with the takedowns and eventually drain him till he finds an opening and gets a submission. Taira has better standup but the lower weight classes don't see a lot of knockouts and Mokaev has a good chin on him. The only way I see Taira winning is if Mokaev becomes reckless and gets caught.

If his father hadn’t unfortunately passed away I believe khabib would still be fighting and could have potentially lost by now. We’ve seen many upsets recently. Khabib was and still is one of the best in history, just retired arguably in the middle of his prime

I don't see any of the current crop of lightweights beating Khabib. We saw from Islam vs Charles exactly what would happen if Khabib had fought him. Khabib doesn't have the striking of Islam so probably wouldn't have as much success against Volk on the feet but as soon as he gets the fight to ground I think he takes over and wouldn't give up a dominant position like Islam did in the 1st fight. Tsarukyan, Dariush and the rest aren't touching him. The only way he'd have lost would have been at WW and even at 170 I'd give him the advantage against everyone in the top 5. Colby probably gives him the toughest fight followed by Shavkat.

Did he retire early? Yes. Did he beat OBLITERATE the top contenders before he retired? Also yes. The people who he played around with are all still top contenders after he retired. Look at Dustin and Justin. They're both top lightweights and are certain points in time, in the p4p list. He didnt even lose a round to them. He even destroyed mcgregor during mcegregor's prime. Only blemish on khabib's resume is that he didnt stay around long enough, but while he was here, he definitely proved to be the most dominant fighter weve ever seen.

This list somehow feels forced to be critical. Of course you shouldn't hype undefeated fighters as if they were gods. But some of the points that are criticized about the fighters are somehow far-fetched. Topuria's win over Emmet was met with criticism because he couldn't finish him, but the score cards were incredible. He even got a 10-7, and rightly so. That's why I don't understand why there was a "but" when talking about the performance of Emmet. Chimaev's victories over Burns and fucking Usman don't get as much credit as he deserves either. Usman is no Tony Ferguson, just because he lost the last few fights doesn't mean he's out of the game. Anyone who has a competitive fight with usman shows elite skills. even if it was a short notice. Saying Chimaev has to have a few more elite wins to prove himself is ridiculous. Who knows if he will remain undefeated but he has proven that he is at the top.

You're leaving out the fact that, not only was Usman off the couch, he was coming up from a smaller weight class with no prep. So a middleweight, with a camp, fighting a welterweight, with no preparation. And Khamzat barely scraped by. It's still a good win, because Usman is elite, but those things matter.

Umar Nurmagomedov needs a top-5 fight. I hope it gets rebooked against Sandhahen. Khamzat is intriguing he has slowed down alot and rather then getting a title shot at WW he moves to MW and gets ranked based on a win over a WW? It's weird all around Topuria is promising, he could pull the upset on Volk. Shavkat is a dog. Big on the feet and ground. If he pulls it off against Thompson, he could jump Belal for a shot or fight Belal for #1 contender.

I think Topuria is about to take his first L.... but i think it's gonna be the last in a long time. I think he'll become the champ in the next 2 years and be champ for a long time. I think Shavkat is going to stay undefeated for a while and will be champ by the end of 2024. Khamzat is going to be champ in 2-3 fights and unless somebody catches him with a crazy headkick or something nobody is beating him anytime soon. Most fighters aren't gonna survive that first round.

@@NWFalcony no. He didn't. He had a close fight with the #2 ranked welterweight in the world who wasn't that far removed from challenging for that title himself. And then (even though only ever being hit once in the ufc and never even having fought a top 10 fighter) he fought him in his feet in an absolute banger, throughly got his heart tested and came out with the win anyway. The first time he ever had to really have his heart tested was in a fight with a guy ranked #2 to his #11, a guy with a lot more elite level mma experience, and he beat him. You trying to shit on him for jumping 9 ranks to beat Gilbert Burns and beating him in a slugfest is fucking bizarre GOD tier hating. You couldn't be processing what that fight showed more wrongly. Fighters know what he is..... that's why it's so hard to get them to sign that contract. But sure, you keep acting like he's subpar cuz the 2 times he got tested (and won) was against Gilbert Burns and Kamaru Usman (somebody he didn't even train for, ragdolled him with a 10-8 in the first and then had to figure out how to win however he could after tearing the ligaments in his hand in the first). Sure buddy...... those 2 WINS somehow mean he's not that good. Mma fans are hilariously dumb sometimes.
