I SO appreciate this comment Bas. I receive a comment almost every day saying "Stop talking so far." in various ways. It used to bother me, but it's been a bit of a journey realizing that it's almost impossible to change this! I, like you, ALWAYS watch videos at a faster speed...so I think I've just decided that "fast talking' is going have to be just a part of my brand. Ha! 😂 Thank you!

I agree, but Layla, recommendation... script out one of your video's and notice how much time is chit chat vs content delivery. When in a hurry to get to the content even at 1.5 it is painful. I konw we all have our styles, but count the number of mintues just to get going to actually say what you are here to say. Many video's are not that long. I hope it helps. Obviously I would not be here if I did not want your content - the meat of it.

I just had to stop and google how to change the colours of my Chrome tabs - now I have bright ones ... loving it. Getting back to the YT now!

I'm starting to realize that I need to start utilizing certain automations higher up in the hierarchy (space or folder instead of just list). I'll be doing some testing today to see how it goes. Basically my concern is whether or not the space automations will trigger if I create a task in list view... In theory, it would, but sometimes Clickup's automations are a little questionable (seems like they've been getting better the past few weeks). In other exciting news, Layla, I'll be joining the ClickingUp community tomorrow! Looking forward to seeing how much more I can learn and implement!

Hey Layla! Thanks again for a super useful video. Quick tip: getting a Elgato Stream Deck to switch between scenes might make it easier to remember to switch to different views of your camera and screen.

We have imported checklist from Trello to Clickup. It is possible to make the checlists to subtask list? Or can I automate on checklistspoints checked?

Hey Pedro! Just catching up on comments🙈 Great question! Unfortunately, the ability to create a List via automation is currently a ClickUp feature request. However, you can add a task to a List in another space. You can probably set up a second automation in the Space to apply a template based on the created task. I hope this helps!

Okay, I've created Checklist Templates but am unable to apply/select Checklists in my Automation. What could be the reason? Hope this isn't too silly of a question. Thank you for shining the light on automations. This is taking a load off my brain! 🎉

Create a task template with the checklist and choose action “apply template” - it will add checklist from template to task triggering the automation. Kinda weird but I promise it works😊

Hey Layla, Fantastic video, as always! I recently upgraded to the Business plan on ClickUp, and I was excited to try out the automation feature. However, I came across a comment from a former ClickUp user who used the tool for two years and mentioned that they experienced some reliability issues with the automation feature, to the point that certain jobs weren't even triggered at times. As I'm currently setting up an automation system, their comment left me a bit worried. I was wondering if you have any experience with the reliability of ClickUp's automation feature? I would appreciate any insights you have on this.

Hey! While the Automations can sometimes not cooperate, for the most part they work well! We use them a lot at ProcessDriven and haven't had too many issues. It's key for all involved to understand the process to catch anything that seems off just in case!

Can I do this in clickup? I have a folder: Marketing and a folder: Courses. I have created an 'advertising' list in the marketing folder, which I want to copy to the COURSES folder, but so that when I write something in the 'advertising' list in the COURSES folder, the list in the MARKETING folder is updated with the same information.

Is there an automation where I can set a status and once it is changed to "push" it pushes that post to the agoraplus social media calender and schedules it for posting... The idea is to manage the task in clickup then once approved push it directly to the schedule so they can be published automatically

Yes! Your automation would be: WHEN Task Created AND Assignee is Not Set THEN Add Comment “Hey @watchers! Add an assignee!”

😂 Fran, it's so funny to see these comments. I started doing my hair like this after growing out a super short pixie because it's so good at containing crazy layers. It's come back as my go-to during COVID for this reason. Ha!
