    Actually not a horrible pitch at all, lets be men about the situation. If you don't like the guy, thats one thing, if you don't approve of his decisions in the White House thats another, but if he threw a good pitch or not... well thats not debatable bud, it was a perfect strike.     Strangely enough, this moment was critical to his re-election. My teen age son, who was very much affected by the September 11 attacks, sat stone faced watching this pitch. After Bush delivered the strike, my boy stood up, looked me in the eye and said “Bush throws strikes”.

    I'm surprised that George W. Bush's ceremonial first pitch at Game 3 of the 2001 World Series wasn't number 1, just weeks after the September 11th attacks. Many touching first pitches, but I dare say Bush's pitch ranks just a bit higher than the "zombie" attack.

    Agreed. Probably the greatest first pitch ever considering the situation and pressure. Plus It was a strike down the middle, from the mound. The secret service did not even want hime to go out and do it. But he went out, and throw it like an Alpha! It was inspiring. I remember wathcing it at home. Everyone stood up and cheered. We were brimming with American patriotism!
