Aizawa is great because he genuinely didn't know he was even going to be the final boss until like 2 hours before you even show up. And when you get there, he STILL doesn't know why he's the final boss, but goddamn if he doesn't give you one of the best final boss fights in the whole series.

Pretty sure the Majima & Saejima appearence in Yakuza: Like A Dragon should be on here. I had to go back and grind for hours in order to get to a level where I could take them.

When "Rick The Door Technician" first came out and I saw he was just a simple trooper whom I just force choked and threw over the ledge - I laughed out loud at the game trolling me.

You guys allergic to 2D games? Mother Brain and the chozo statue in super metroid were so outta nowhere the first playthrough!

that boss Laura in The Evil Within, was so damn hard.

Chakravartin's final form was a huge disappointment though. In a game with over the top boss fights in both size and scale you go from fighting a planet sized god to fighting a human sized one.

1:20 into the video. Guy on Horse tries to ambush the people huddle up to the fire. He takes one swipe then gets laid out by the dragon coming from out of nowhere. You couldn't remake the scene again no way. 😂🤣😭

So many fromsoft games on this list, yet it doesn't include black flame freide. The game gives you an item to distract from the fact that there was no text saying you won... so sneaky.

No mention of Necron in Final Fantasy IX?

Honorable Mention to the sercret Boss Baal, from Disgaea Hour of Darkness. To be fair he doesn't come out of "Nowhere", there are little hints and such dropped in the game conversation with npc's and secret areas that allude to him but I can honestly say 99.9999% of anyone that challenged him was unprepared. The 1st problem was that you most likely already beat the game so you thought you were the cream of the crop having fought the Seraph of Celestia who was about lv 90 or so which made you think everything else was a walk in the park. 2nd was the fact that you most likely did most of the Dark Assembly Bills that gave you extra content including raising the difficulty about 10x over to give your self a challenge. 3rd mistake is after unlocking the seals to fight him, and aquiring new characters (level 2000 and 2500 respectively), you likely only noticed the level 2200 enemies right before his fight and expected a level 3k boss. Yeah no, your main protagonist himself states in disbelief, that this guy is level 4000!? At the absolute lowest difficulty at that. He has around 200k in all stats, 3)200% in all stat aptitudes (in comparison to the 90-110% you passively got beating the main game) and has the 2nd strongest weapons in the game with the 2nd most movement of about 10 spaces. His AoE is large and he can solo your entire party with a single attack if they are in range. Add to the fact that when you EVENTUALLY beat him and want to go back to farm him or vent for the stress of him wrecking you, you made your 4th(?) Mistake and likely didn't save walking straight into his PHASE 2 "Prinny Baal" with the STRONGEST monster weapons + armor and a BASE Level of 6000😱😭 with 4x the stats that his former self had. Ooh I'm getting war flash backs. Don't even get me start on NG+ Etna mode when you lose the ability to use the main character or any of the support you likely had during the main game run unless it was the generic characters you made. 😭

People correctly assumed that Mr. Grizz was going to be the villain in Splatoon 3 and that it was pretty obvious what species he is, because his name is Mr. Grizz, as in Grizzly Bear. So saying that Donkey Kong in the Wii remake of Punch-Out is a boss that no one saw coming when you can see him in the background doesn’t make Donkey Kong a boss no one saw coming. Like if he wasn’t in the background where people can see him, then yeah Donkey Kong would be a boss no one saw coming.

But this time Capcom should only sell the first episode of the first part for full price and then charge 10 Euro/Dollar/whatever per episode for the rest, so that in the end you need to pay 230 Euro/Dollar/whatever to get the full game.

Really don't like the lack of endings. 😢

Donkey Kong had the one hitter quitter in punch out to i lost like 15 times before beating him

Wouldn’t have made sense, he was already irrelevant after Yakuza 5. Plus it was barely a reveal, it was very vague.

Star Rail 2.2 i wasnt expecting to fight Argenti, he showed up out of nowhere, it was so random. 😂😂

You beat the BBEG, freed your friend, and have found the Treasure.... you have won... Then "The Crab Who Stole the Whorl" suddenly shows up and ruins literally everything. Another Crab's Treasure.

I thought the anchor in Control was WAY more frustrating than the Former. But maybe that’s just me.

What I didn't see coming was having to fight Laura AND the box head guy in Evil Within 2. Funny thing is when I played I was thinking. "Thankfully I dont' think I'm gonna run into the first games bosses" Nope Wrong.
