Me killing myself on hook when i see it's this poorly designed killer. Limit her drones to 2 or increase the area which she can place them, because holding a match for 30 minutes is the most boring thing this game ever had. I’ve had enough of these terrible chapters; it makes me sick to my stomach.

Those are thematically kind of cool, but the car part system sounds like it'd be too RNG based.

The 3rd way to escape the trial is if the killer DC's since it credits you an escape

not anymore. If you are doing adept doesnt count as escape and you don't get 5k points for killer DC

Plague being drawn completely plagued and completely unplagued is a common technique with achieving these effects (the same is also done with gore in some games) the models are then overlayed in an editor and combined through trial and error, it’s way easier than imagining the full figure deformed immediately

It should also be mentioned that Akiro Yamaoka is the whole reason BHVR was able to get into contact with the right people to make a Silent Hill chapter possible to begin with, and the spirit’s and Oni’s last name is based entirely on Akiro’s.

1. Filip Ivanovic, an artist for the game, provided the voices of the original three killers, Bubba, Freddy, Ghostface, and Jeff. He did them all very well truthfully. 2. Kate is the only survivor to date that is known to have had two voice actors. Other than Pinhead of course. Her PTB hook scream was extremely hated on and they had to change it. Which is a shame, because the voice itself was actually perfect. That girl put her all into that performance only for it to end up unused. 😞 3. I wonder what the unused Smasher and Teacher killers would have been like had they been created. There was also an early climbing mechanic that allowed survivors to get up on walls and roofs I believe. Maybe they could make a perk out of that someday. That would be so fun!

i think that was the issue with the kate book scream it was too much. Sure it was accurate, but it was too accurate, so much so that it was uncomfortable to hear

Okay so I used to wonder about the teacher killer but as I understand it was essentially a "troll" for the dataminers at the time, with discipline being her "power" to teach the dataminers a lesson and the trapple(addon or power) meaning its a trap. If I am wrong correct me though.

it would be cool getting pre-killer skins for the killers, like a pre-blight/human Blight skin, and also an unmasked skin for the killers who wear masks like Pig, Trapper and Legion (though they will have to give them blinking animations)

@@Ellattehh it's not Billy, Stu or anyone from the Scream franchise. the Ghostface we have in game is called Danny Johnson and he's a unique case of being half original-half licensed. only the mask is licensed while the man behind the mask is an original character.

I actually want the Pinhead clone bug to be a thing, but instead of it being Pinhead have it be the other cenobites just slowly surrounding the survivors as the trial goes on. It would look exactly like the movies lol

This video is INSANE to me! I have never seen those images and I literally made videos about the artbook 😂 it is so cool! Also the pinhead model theory sounds really logical, since cloning killers is something the game does with Hag, Doctor, Demogorgon etc… so the tech exists!

Feel like the dbd voice actors are overlooked sure. It may just be groaning and screaming for most but they kinda make the characters unique along with lore and appearance.

Reminds me of Chan of Home Sweet Home: Survive.

I know it's probably a stretch, but the car concept reminds me of another Behaviour game, Naughty Bear. In some levels, if there's a car you will have to prevent bears from escaping. Considering they've referenced NB before, it might not be a terrible comparison to draw

I think getting walkie talkies somehow in game and being able to communicate in game with other solo qers would be interesting.

4:43 its walkie talkies, melee weapons, gun(z), medkit, lockpick, relic, unique perks, and flashlight

They really need to add more to the game. Luckily, Evil Dead and Last Year are fun refreshers

3:20 I was so horrified when I saw this for the first time

remember the cra sounds for the generators? that where changed back in the days?

I really wonder how the game would have been without the entity, escaping by cars or calling the police, dying from bleeding rather than from an arachnid thing killing u, it would be so interesting and I remember I thought DBD was like that when I played it for the very first time

Thing is, dbd was inspired by the horror franchises that were later added in the game (minus Friday the 13th, which for sure would've been added before the lawsuit issue if Gun Media didn't grab it first). That whiteboard thing was later on used when developing Friday the 13th and these original mechanics, like Trapper, were inspired by Friday the 13th. Let's remember that trapper was initially supposed to be the only killer, so the game was kind of supposed to be a knock-off Friday the 13th game. However, the game expanded and they added more killers, switched mechanics around, added more mechanics (pretty sure they had the idea of meathooks from the start) etc. Initially, there should've been 4 killers, 4 survivors and 4 realms, but one of the killers was scrapped because they didn't manage to finish everything in time, which later made it possible to get the Halloween license while they were developing Nurse, Nea and Crotus Press Asylum as they were buying more time to see what to do next. That killer was inspired by Michael Myers, similar how Wraith is inspired by Predator, Trapper is inspired by Jason and Billy is inspired by Bubba. Remember that Backwater Swamp was initially Wraith's map as per the concept art and, as per the reports from the developers, Wraith was moved to Autohaven wreckers, the map of the Myers knockoff killer because that map was finished, along with wraith, but the myers knock-off killer and the backwater swamp were not. Later on they scrapped the idea of the myers killer entirely when they secured the Halloween license and switched that Myers knock off to the actual Myers. They then went on to create the Halloween chapter after the Nurse chapter, followed by a repurpose of the Backwater Swamp map, initially owned by Wraith, and they created Hag and Ace to fit that map. Just to make sure they aren't wasting anything. Basically, all early on inspiration comes from classic the horror francises. This includes Nurse with Silent Hill. They then sort of stopped to do it, besides Legion being inspired by Purge and Spirit being inspired by Sadako.

Honestly I wish they’d make a dbd 2 on a new engine, port all the stuff over from this dbd. Make different game modes including “old dbd” I think it would bring a lot of people back for a little bit. But I know I’m on some hard copium 😂

It's weird how dbd once had escape sequences very similar to those of friday the 14th the game, especially with phoning the police and the car. God help that franchise btw, hopefully the legal battle will see an end in most of our life times.

That or Friday the 13th is no longer main stream and that saddens me, but anyway the game is basically an asymmetrical multi-player game where one player is Jason and has to kill the rest of the players who are camp counsolers who have to escape and stuff.

Relics are something that could come soon since as a mobile player we already have 5 relics

im wondering in the current game too - medkits say 24 charges and a heal is 16… but it takes the whole medkit to heal once?!

Friday the 13th had the car and police call mechanics. How did that game do? I think the gamey abstraction is part of what made DbD so successful. And I'm always surprised coming back to the game at how deep it is. To play at an optimal level, there's so many nuances with perks and add ons you have to consider.

@@haiz768 or add more to her kit and balance out the insta kill thing because all they do now is just grab someone drop them in a drone zone area and then camp the whole area because it'll give them an insta kill if they try to sneak around them through the long way 🤦‍♂️ or how executioners will drop people right on top of a thing and let them escape just so they can get an easy condemned or Maury
