I don't think Entity really does it. It might just create a new body for survivors to participate in trials from auric cells and puts their consciousness inside, while their real body is somewhere in matrix like biopod.

I saw it in a weird fanfiction of all things the other day, really stood out to me and gives some weight to the "bodily funtions" theory. The line was something like: "They never starved, the entity would never allow its playthings to expire in such a mundane manner, but they never got to truly enjoy eating either."

So, basically each killer have their own place in the realm. I'd like to see someone make a meme about Adriana buying Shelter Woods from the Trapper LOL. Or Wesker splitting RPD in 2 with Nemmy "Now you go take the east wing, I'll remain with the west one where my office is, you can sleep in that bunk bed near the restroom" LOL

Plague and Huntress also share a realm (The Red Forest) I just imagine Plague walking around hearing Huntress throwing hatchets and being like “yeahhh imma head back to my temple”

Theory: the “bots” that you play against in custom matches are actually the entity, trying to replicate the patterns of the survivors. However, the entity didn’t want to/wasn’t able to replicate the survivors 100% accurately, thus making them easier to kill and predict.

My headcanon with Stranger Things is that all of them managed to escape and the Nancies, Steves, Jonathans and demos we still see from time to time are like "copies" made by the entity so the rest of survivors and killers won't suspect that it is possible to escape the realm 👀

I think the devs did say that beyond what we can see in the campfire is just endless fog, and this endless fog fills both survivors and killers alike with fear. It’s what prevents killers and survivors from wandering off too far from the campfire. Those who are brave enough and can suppress their fears choose to wander this fog, eventually finding rifts and the Archive tower…

This is a good theory but I kinda disagree because isn’t there characters which fear nothing? Like Myers, Freddy, Dredge, and basically all the evil incarnate characters or characters who have no fear, what about them? Wouldn’t they have left if that’s the case? I could be wrong so please change my mind

My favourite unanswered question is why they massacred my boy Hillbilly :(

I believe that what we see in game is only what we as the players see. For example, Skull Merchant just came out, but in the entity's realm, she was always there, killing people. We just didn't see her until now. Just as there are survivors outside of our games that still exist in lore.

I would argue that Dredge is an example of life created by the Entity. It’s never outright stated in its lore but because the Dredge is literally made of fog and there’s never an alternate explanation provided I think that the Entity shaped Dredge out of the Fold’s malevolent thoughts

Explanation is pretty simple. Its a manifestation of peoples malevolent/vengeful thoughts. Might not be fully linked to the entity but its a creature given birth by peoples negative thoughts

1. I like to think that there are now multiple campfire sites or tents set up for the survivors after trials since there are so many of them now. Two logs can't hold 37 people lol. For what they do, they probably enjoy playing charades, playing cards with Ace, gathering plants with Claudette in the nearby forest, etc. The campfire is certainly way less lonely now than it was back in 2016. 2. I just had a sad thought. We don't know for sure whether the licensed survivors come from universes where they are in fact living people or if they were born from the memories of the original survivors. What if one day, Dwight randomly said while hooked, "Man, I wish Laurie Strode was here to stab this chainsaw jerk for me." Bam, that's how Laurie got into the Realm! It's so depressing. All of the licensed survivors have learned that they are not real, yet they have no choice but to be strong because that's what they embody to the original survivors. They choose to suffer not only because they can't truly die, but because they a lifeline to the others. Rays of hope keeping them from falling to the Void. How many of us can say we would do the same, no matter how exhausting or painful it would be? This is why horror movie characters are the best!

It is being stated in licensed characters' lore that at one moment they get taken by the Fog, so I would assume they have their own universes

The way I remember it being is that the entity doesn't create the licenced characters from memory, it pulls them out of universes where they are real. So while Dwight might remember Laurie strode from the movies, the Laurie strode in game is from a reality where she actually fought Jason.

I like to think it's the same for Killers as well. Could you imagine if the Legion (probably Joey) were like "Yeah that HUNK guy is pretty cool, it'd be awesome if he was here with us." And poof.

I'd say the reason it's taken so long for the Entity to go to 'space' is because it just was not strong enough. Like how, when it was younger, Trapper was able to actually fight it to the point the Entity needed to torture him in order to make sure he obeys, or how it thought the pig mask Amanda wears is an actual creature's skinned head. It's gotten stronger and stronger over time, just now being able to extend it's grasp to the great beyond. We already kind of know that the Entity exists outside of time for the most part given how Deathslinger, a guy from cowboy times, is chasing down an asian girl who plays video games for a living. So it's not too much to say it managed to reach a planet with sufficient suffering and agony to latch on and recreate the pain Gabriel feels about it. Does that make sense? Sorry if it doesn't, never really was good at this sort of thing.

Makes perfect sense to me. I assume also that the Entity feeds exclusively on humans, so it didn't go to space because there were no humans in space. It's only when humans left earth and created enough suffering on an outpost that it even had the possibility of going interplanetary.

Regarding the fact that if the Survivors need to eat, the answer is a maybe yes Since in the history of Vittorio in the archives, it is seen how he does not get to eat during his first days-weeks in the realm of the entity, coming to faint at times due to lack of food (even wanting to kill a bird he found, but not wanting to and letting it go, it turns into a monster that he fights 2 times) At least in the realms that Vittorio visited before the triads, he does need to eat (he even thanked his symbols for finding food in a cabin)

Since the Hawkins lab is now unavailable as well, maybe The Entity sent the ST characters there in some kind of special trial as a sort of punishment, and forbids anyone else from entering that realm.

I think it would be cool to get an official comic about the Survivors and Killers doing things and interacting in-between trials. Doesn't have to be a long one. A special or limited series would do, I think.

The rats and crows could exist by taking real rats and crows souls, just like the survivours. Imagine it like, "I thick fog engulfed the rat and it found itself in a strange but familiar world."

I mean, the realm of a different planet is easy - The Entity takes the realms from people's memories, the only reason why a different planet is there is that the new characters remember it.

5:05 it could also be because older Freddy has been shown to play with his powers and has more experience therefore harder to control where as remake Freddy is more inexperienced and therefore easier to control. The lore for Freddy does say that he lost some powers and gained new ones…

These kinds of videos are so interesting! I really like examining the dbd lore and theories and explanations for strange things.

For me with the Stranger Things theory, because the entity takes multiple versions of the survivors (hence why we can play as 2 Nancies & 2 Steves ect) I reckon that some of the multiple versions of the Stranger Things characters (Steve, Nancy and Johnathan) found a way to escape the realm through that massive portal in the Hawkins Lab room, and because it was a trial, the Demogorgon followed as well. The entity wasn't having it and shut off the survivors and killers from the Hawkins realm to prevent that from happening again, hence why we can't play there anymore. The entity probably couldn't bring them back for some reason and now the only reasons you still see Demogorgons, Steves, Nancies and Johnathans are because they didn't escape when they had the chance. (Idk just my personal theory that makes it more exciting than Netflix being boring, also semi gives them a happier ending?)

I think that Stranger Things characters and map just have been sens to The void

1 - "how are we on another planet? I know the Entity made Temple of Purgation from Adiris' *MEMORY* and placed into the Red Forest" answered your own question, it's using the memory of Gabriel Soma (and possibly also The Singularity) to create that copy of the other planet, it's very much an answered question because ALL maps are made from the memories of the people who have relevance to the location (Coldwind, Thompson House, RPD, Dead Dawg, literally every map is connected to a Killer/Survivor using their memories and it's pretty clear the Entity can indeed bring anyone from anywhere at any time) 2 - you quite literally said "yes it can, example: Victor" so how is this an unanswered mystery? practically every Survivor or Killer was dragged in as they died, such as Amanda (Pig) or Bill (who literally dies canonically in L4D) and can resurrect everyone when they die in the trials 3 - what? the answer is quite literally just the license holders wanted Remake Freddy because he was the newer version rather than the classic version, it is literally just on the license holders and so it's a different continuity aswell 4 - well we can consider the fact that it's entirely possible they can feel the need to but considering the Entity has total control over everyone (with exceptions like Pyramid Head, Michael Myers at times, etc) and it seems pretty clear that no one needs to eat or defecate in anyway 5 - well we already know what the Survivor's do, they must sit by the campfire, I believe the Archivist dude quite literally has noted that when you try to leave you just get turned around and he was lucky to find the pocket realm he hides in, and like you said Kate is known to sing songs for everyone and we can presume that when youre on the main menu that Killers do literally just watch from a distance in the fog at any campfire near them 6 - I mean if we're talking about licenses being lost yeah that is unanswered but canonically speaking we can just say that they dont actually exist anymore and anytime you do see a Demogorgon or Nancy/Steve they are yeah just husks of their former selves puppeted by the Entity to continue to feed on them BUT if you actually want to talk about what happens when someone actually leaves the Entity's realm, we already know because Kate was once taken and spat back out because the Entity failed to break her will, when she was spat back out she had zero memory of really anything but her name generally speaking most of the things you brought up are actually completely answered or have partial answers

Totally agreed, especially on the first question,we all know that the realms are recreated from the characters memories( mostly killers), so why would the alien planet be any different? Gabriel was there and remembers the place, the Singularity was there(possibly even gained sentience there) and remembers it. We arent going there physically Everything else seems its just people not knowing lore or asking weird questions like the Freddy licence stuff. Everything seems answered. The real unasnwered question at least to my knowledge is the meaning of Vittorios glowy tattoos. I know they were mentioned in a tome about being "human lexicons" or whatever, but I wonder what is actually written on Vittorio

@@FinestFantasyVI yeah most what I ever could figure with Vittorio is he found some kinda magic and its inscribed on his body which has apparently granted him eternal life and youth because he wears modern clothing but the Knight and his guards used to work for him, that is legit one of those things that will probably be answered later in some character specific tome like they wanna start doing but who knows, it'll either honestly be left up to debate or answered one day

I feel like (in lore) the ST left because it didn't brought enough energy to compensate the one she used to create the realm, so it eplains why we can still play the characters but not the map. I don't know why but i feel like the Entity is restained of his powers somehow. I also think she cannot create life but only copy it or part of it.

2:21 I think the dredge is another really good example of the entity creating life from scratch, because the dredge isnt even real. It's just what the people were afraid of. Those people killed eachother because of their fear of this thing that didnt exist. And when the entity saw that, it created the dredge and released it into the realm.

You should make a video on what each killer would do during their downtime between trials. Like what realm they would hang out in, what other killers they would be with, what they would do. etc.

Also i love to think the survivors are having a chat at the campfire, explaining how they got there

My question is when the Entity takes the survivors are they in their map then the camp fire or immediately to the camp fire and if so do they come out of their map that are in the background with each chapter that comes out?

My theory for the Stranger Things DLC at least for the Demogorgon is that it was able to find a way to tunnel back and forth from the Entity’s dimension via the Upside Down, but it also has the free will to come back anytime it wants. That’s why it was able to escape the Entity’s realm while at the same time there is still a chance to encounter it in the trials. It simply has broken out of the loop and only emerges when it cares to.

I feel like the entity just has absolute control of its realm. Like Behavior or a programmer has control of their game world or a simulation.

For the End Transmission theory, I personally headcanon that the Entity was able to take an entire planet from Existence, organisms and all into the realm, mainly because of the Entity doesn't have any restraints on what it can do being the lovecraftian elder god that it is.

In my opinion, since Steve and Nancy and Demogorgon are still playable, theyre still in the realm. Yeah theyre rare but there are less picked characters and theyre still undoubtedly canon.

I have, a few interesting questions I would like to know if, the survivors recognize the licensed survivors and killers. Feng's Jill cosplay does suggest that Feng might know she's in the trials with Jill, although of course, it might be difficult considering Feng is presumably from 2017, before the RE3 remake came out, where Jill is presumed to be from, she could recognize Chris, due to him having the face of RE5 Chris, but for some reason sporting his RE1 outfit. stranger things was released in July of 2016, so apart from trailers they saw, the 4 first survivors might not know of the ST trio, and we all know that licensed content from our world in in the world of ST. Feng might also know of the silent hill characters, do I even need to explain why? I don't think the survivors might know Quentin, obviously the 2010 remake isn't very popular, they'll only recognize Freddy. I do imagine that they do recognize them, and talk to them to learn about them in between trials another question I have involves magics and the survivors using perks. the survivors have 3 teachable perks, that reflect them as people, for example, Dwight being the leader, or Kate being the person who brings hope and happiness to the cold and empty place. some of the survivors are highly intelligent people, and some are even blessed with special powers or qualities, like how Kate is stated to be unfazed or, at least, not 100% bothered by being taken, or how Mikaela can bless totems, or, more interestingly, Vittorio and how potential energy allows him to use a wheel of symbols to store energy for later. I want to know, how do the survivors share powers with each other. especially, someone like Dwight, considering he's below the average intelligence, and can, according to the lore, by this point, can barely be an amazing leader in their time of need, is able to use magic and use it correctly like Mikaela or Vittorio. obviously, for basic skills like walking faster, unhooking faster, etc. that is simple. finally question, is, does the memory wipe truly exist? ok, this one I know will spark a lot of debate, but let me explain. as you've heard from multiple sources, it is stated that the survivors after each trial lose their memory of the events, so that they're less likely to lose hope and stay there longer. but, I don't think it actually exists. in fact, the own wiki seems to confuse us on if it exists, and even the game itself. according to the wiki, and I believe the mobile port of DBD, it stated "While some Survivors embrace the endless Trials as they search for a way to escape, others do not realise that they are caught in an endless cycle of torment and live the horror anew each time they are resurrected after having been sacrificed." now, here's the thing, you could say "oh, well the entity erases some of the survivors memories" ok, that's a fair point, but, which survivors? a lot of the survivors have cosmetics to suggest that they do realize they're trapped because they explore the realms to find outfits, like the vigo's outfits, Ace of all people has a cosmetic that suggests he realizes he's trapped, and we all know that Ace always smiles, which does suggest he's too stupid to realize he's trapped. this is why I don't think it actually does exist. I think some of the info like, the survivors always getting scared when the entity attacks them, them always in a lot of pain, is more of like, acting like it's the survivors first time, when it's really not, not a memory wipe, but, suggesting that the trial you were just in, was the first ever. idk if it makes sense, it's something all videos games kind of do, it just takes a while to realize it, it treats the character you play as like it's their first time, when it's really not

I’m pretty sure in one of Benedict’s journals, he talks about watching David crap himself while getting hooked, but I could be remembering wrong…

Pretty sure the ancient alien ruins on the planet are related to the entity in some ways, it .wouldn’t pick a random place like that in the universe and time otherwise

One thing to note about the Stranger Things leaving the realm question at the end is that, in addition to bots in custom games, players who bought the DLC while it was available still have access to the characters. The explanation in the real world with Netflix revoking the license is a much more simple answer than the lore implications. These characters can still be player-controlled and therefore can still be considered to be part of the realm. How does their removal from the store, but remaining in the realm affect the lore, if at all?

Someone (I thing Benedict) said that he was filled with a supernatural fear he could not push himself through and was forced to walk back to the fire

background gameplay made me so angry. very interesting meta questions. i like thinking that entity is a tired gamedev on a cosmic level and tailors the nerfs, buffs, reworks itself and rages on any critique survivors and killers speak out.

The part that hurt the most about the background gameplay for me is at one part when they FINALLY got an opening to pick up where the johna whatever his name is was too far away to reach for a save... They flicked BACK into the survivors direction a bit before picking up giving them a free flashlight save... Like tf??? You do all that work just to make it so you can finally pick up and you choose to throw it away and actively GIVE them the save for free???

Well done I enjoyed hearing these theories even though some of the questions were a bit odd and I can see the theories making sense

For the question of whether the survivors use the bathroom during the trail, it is said that when the human being is in a situation of danger or adrenaline, the bladder automatically empties, technically they pee on themselves but this is in specific cases or of great shock

The way I think of the updates is that we haven't seen that killer before but from the characters and especially the entities pov they have always been there or at least not the same order we found them in

The survivors sit around the campfire. When they inevitably feel like they need to go, they run into the fog... And are in a trial. They're either running out of a trial into the campfire, running away from the campfire and into a trial, or waking up from death at the campfire.

Another reason why the survivors just sit around the campfire comes from a Benedict Baker quote: “Am I alive? I no longer know or care. I have tried to hike my way out of these forsaken woods to no avail. Multiple times I have tried to escape the fog and each time, I have come face to face with a nameless terror that stalks the darkness, a being in a human form, even though I feel ‘human’ is an exaggeration. It is a shadow of its former self, a horrid shadow. I fear I cannot escape this place, nor the being stalking these woods. I just barely manage to escape. I remember somewhere reading that if the survivors wander away from the campfire they'll eventually end up back at it, as if it is the woods exist around the fire and not the other way around. Can't tell you if that's canon or just a theory/fanfiction I remembered

In regards to using remake Freddy (besides license issues) You could also argue remake Freddy brings out more negative feelings and emotions which the entity likes. OG freddy was a messed up serial killer but, we were excited to see what goofy stuff he'd be up to. Whereas remake Freddy everybody loathes him, hates the direction of his character in the universe and us as the audience watching his film. We hate that they went the route of making him a canonical child predator, instead of leaving it ambiguous. It also brings out anger that he's not being portrayed by a different actor instead of the one we are familiar with and love. So entity saw him as a better fit. Not only because he is a far more messed up person compared to og freddy but, also because he brings out more negative emotions from characters in universe and us as the gamers playing as him/against him in the trials. If you believe the 'We are the entity' theory.

One part I want to add to the stranger things theories is that the entity clearly still at least knows these characters are there due to the daily rituals saying “The Entity will reward you” and being able to get the demogorgon, Steve and Nancy challenges.

Adding Pinhead opens some interesting lore. The inclusion of pinhead obviously indicates that the Leviathan is there in an alternate universe. PHs mori seems to take the survivor to the labyrinth. We all know what would happen then in the films but it's more complicated in context of dbd. Imo I think the Entity just kinda snatches them back from the labyrinth so the Leviathan can't claim them. Are the Entity and Leviathan in cahoots with eachother? Is the Leviathan simply weaker than the Entity?

Okay so dumb theory from my side is that the trials are also partially from 4 survivors leaving the trial on their own but the warped world made by the entity brings them and the killer into the exact trial location. (So say that the survivors are out to scavenge and end up in the trial randomly and the killer was waiting for that to happen)

Amazing video! But as for 2nd question I think they meant if Entity is capable of creating life, as in new lifeforms that actually don't exist in real life. As in engineering them. Still could use some research. :D

Just found out that the DBD movie is actually REAL, and I just wanted to say that it WILL be a failure unless they manage to get Jamie Lee Curtis, Bruce Campbell, Joe Keery, and Natalia Dyer in the cast. If they managed to do that, this movie has a shot at being F******** ICONIC

There's a lot of assuming going on here but I was under the impression that there's like a massive resting lodge for survivors to relax and eat and use the bathroom and so on when they're not at the campfire. Being summoned to the campfire means it's your turn for a trial and since only 4 survivors can go at a time the rest are able to stay at the lodge. Obviously it's not too thought out since you can just suggest there's multiple trials going on at the same time and that of course with it being a multi-player game multiple of the same survivor implies multiple lodges so on and so forth. But these are conclusions I just came to while playing and felt were worth sharing.

0:21 okay i think it's gonna be a map from a science-fiction show so as much survivors could remember it cause this is what the maps are, what characters remember and that's why we have diffrent pallet placement and loops every match but main things are always there. Also with the knight we got a map from their time so maybe you don't even need that much people to remember them so it could be that the map is just from memory of the new chapter characters

Because planet it's just a memory of Gabriel Soma. Not an actual planet. So Entity just added crows.

Frankly I like the idea that the killers and survivors are kind of friendly towards each other outside of the trials

I’ve always wondered what exactly some of the offerings and add ons are and how survivors and killers obtain them. Do they scavenge for the items too and just find them? Or does the blood web just manifest them into existence somewhere? What gives them their magical/nonsensical properties? Also what are white and black wards? Actual hands?? Or just symbols on the survivor/killers hand?

What if Michael Myers, lore wise, is originally a creation of the entity, it is said in the films that he is "pure evil" in humanoid form? Could be interesting, especially considering dbd movie

For the second one I would say possibly but why?It would take so much energy to create a creature with emotions and the Entity is still not as powerful as we think it is because it would take over Earth if it was all mighty so I think it prefer use creatures already created and for Victor it had already the plan to make him with Charlotte's memories

The entity uses survivors as a food store in its nest. It might even be attempting to propagate itself.

Actually I’d say it can’t create life from scratch, as everything it’s created already exists elsewhere- crows, rats, the killers & survivors it’s taken/revived all existed prior to being in the realm. It can bring life. Revive. Maybe make a copy? Either it has little imagination/creativity, or it can’t create from scratch.

I think why the entity has only taken people from earth is because it would take little convincing to get them on the entity's side, but the singularity can be manipulated in the same way they did the nemesis because he is man made like nemesis.

Survivor: *Holding their shit while looping*. Killer: *Smacks survivor* Next thing you know, a fucking horrendous, foul Oder kills everyone in the trial, and the entity.

I think the Entity has the BOdys of teh killers and Survs in a koma in a place hidden. And what we see in thetrials are projections of the characters in different stages of their life. Thats why they come back always!

this might be the most frustrating killer gameplay I've seen behind any DBD commentary
