THREE TIMES THE SIZE OF THEIR HEAD?! Holy Toledo! I've seen them pack away a nut or two before taking off and it sure does distort the look of their head. I love these little guys and see them daily up on a mountain here. They're truly delightful! Thanks so much, Gracie!

Love all these photos of these cute little guys! Wow that is a lot of acorns!! Wow those names are like deer names, lol! Love this information!! I couldn't find the lil guy until you circled him, they are great at camouflaging themselves :)

Thank you Melissa!! Ain’t that amazing on their acorns?! They are incredible animals! I bet being the size that they are it would be like stashing 20,000 McDonald’s cheeseburgers for us! Lol! I was with my parents on the Foothills Parkway when my mom spotted a chipmunk near the waterfall. It was only later when I was downloading my pictures that I found him or her hiding in the log!

I walked along a creek nearby, saw lots of cute ones, they sounds kind of like birds. As u said they r very shy, always stay high in trees, hard to get a clear pic or video. Good to know 10 facts about those lit guys pretty much similiar with squirrels ( much more shier than squirrels).

That’s awesome that you saw them near the creek! They are amazing animals!! Yes! They are definitely not the easiest animal to get a picture of! You look down to make a camera adjustment and look back up and they’re gone! They are very fast too!!

Great facts about the Eastern Chipmunk, and cute photos! Interesting to learn about their burrows and how much food they collect- lots of acorns for sure! We have a couple varieties in our state, and ion the summer we see them when hiking in the mountains, they seem to be always on the move!! Cute! Like!!

This was most enjoyable Gracie, and I'm impressed with your data on the Eastern Chipmunk. This are such busy little bundles of energy and such a joy to observe, and so darn cute, I do my best to always include a few clips of them in my trail camera videos.
