Don't buy a Vector 2.0. DDL server has been down for months meaning fans have had to create Wirepod in able to get him to work. Currently if you buy Vector it will just be a paper weight as you need to connect to their server in order to set him up. The three 1.0 Vectors I have cannot access their subscription based server even though I have a life time membership meaning their features are minimal. DDL customer service is pretty much radio silent and it looks like they are in financial trouble and it's not looking good. There has been no word on the pre-orders they took for Cosmo 2.0 and Butterbot, many think they will take the money and run at this point. You would be better off buying EMO at this point.

One note about the slogans "we do not collect your data". Discord also says so, and it is true, because Discord immediately sends your data to Chinese servers.

I love the security aspects of some of these robots. Just to have something roam the house just to make sure everything is good would give me major peace of mind. Especially if some of these got integrated with ring that would be massive because I already have a ring security system

We need one that detects narcissistic abusers. A domestic violence detection app where victims will never have to explain what a perpetrator is doing when they feel like a deer in headlights and too frozen to express what's happening clearly. The robot will know what type of violation is being committed by default and can produce a flawless report.😅

I believe it's the opposite between vector and emo, emo constantly gets updated and currently has far more interactions and features than vector. While I do believe vector is the better designed robot the company that manages has a terrible standing with the community and public due to their shutting down of servers without any prior notice and constant radio silence and. Luckily a group of "caretakers" has kept vector alive allowing you to host your own server personally restoring features previously lost with the loss of server connections.

Although the timeframe is somewhat vague. I can't seem to locate the origin of the post used in the screenshot so I can neither verify nor refute its legitimacy

@@nadaname391 that's the original company "anki" digital dream labs acquired all of anki's intellectual property upon anki's liquidation. Digital dream labs is in a limbo of sorts. They refuse to respond to customers but they haven't filled for bankruptcy. I believe they made a statement in July about changing their host servers and returning in a month but as you can see it's almost December and are still completely silent; leading most to believe they may never return

Great reviews, Emo doesn't 'speak' a bunch of languages now. He understands a few extra languages but only speaks English at the moment.

Emo loves to be the star of the show haha I cant wait to buy one. Heck I might save up enough to buy 2

Surprised the amazon astro ribot is not on here…it is the best of all of them albeit some tinkering adding router fan to the robots only vent to keep it cool, and adding routines to make it almost like a real pet. Add the one year insurance that amazon gives and optional 3 year warranty with 3 replacements if needed.

I want a robot like cozmo or vector that can let me view the camera live feed style and roam around to check on / bother my cats when I’m not home. Does any robot have this sort of function?

Loona has the capability of doing this, but the only issue is that if you leave for a long period of time, Loona’s battery may die unless it’s plugged in, but then of course, if it’s plugged in, it can’t move around to look at your cats unless it’s facing right in front of it, so depending on how long you’re out, Loona could work for this!
