10,000 years of landscape revealed

In this part of my adventure I am going to visit a farmer who has been farming on a Prehistoric Landscape, during his life he has collected an astonishing array of artefacts and created his own museum.
Lets get over there and see what we can discover.

Its nice to see a land owner so passionate on the history of his land. Its unfortunate sometimes that many farmers arent always as kind or caring to those that farmed the land before them.

Amazing, what an extraordinary gentleman and a superb collection, I would love to visit one day. Thanks for sharing his story, it was lovely to hear about the finds he has made. Also, the way he has marked the monuments on his land is beautiful.

Great stuff Will. That collection puts the Dorchester museums flint display to shame.

In a field behind my childhood home in west central Illinois along a creek a mile from the Mississippi River, I would find stone spear points and other tools in the little erosion cuts after rains. I would have loved to have been able to do some excavation in the area.

i have a casting of a clovis point found in pike county IL. I went squirrel hunting there a couple years ago where the point was found and i could feel the history in the area. The bluffs on the west side of illinois are so beautiful

@@Quantrills.Raiders agreed it is a pretty area. I grew up in Adam's County just north of Pike County.

“A sacred sinkhole”. Reminds me of Mesoamerican cenotes. They were very special places to ancient man.

Thank you Will, I did enjoy this vid. Might I suggest a better mic set up, it would have made a better vid for posterity? The Rode Go 2, would have been great for you. Amazing what Archaeology is close to us all here in the U.K. living as we do on an island in ever increasing compact groups, Means plenty to dig up almost everywhere. Thank you.
