Bro, I’m a rising senior now but I came across your channel junior year. I can’t thank you enough for the confidence you gave me in my framing of my application. I used your SAT guides to get a 1590. As an Indian-American in a competitive area, there’s a lot of college app pressure with your peers, family, neighborhood aunties, etc and your channels helping me feel better about how I approach my essays and ECs to get into a good college. A question I have is how competitive college apps are going to be for the class of 2024. Some people say that’s it’s going to be less competitive than before, but others are saying this is going to be the most competitive year yet. What are your thoughts?

hi p, new sub here :) i just want to ask if you can clarify how depth over breadth works for ECs. like your recommendations for how many ECs to take. i have a lot of ECs where we work on projects for like 30 minutes a week. should i continue those or are they a waste of time? there is a prestigeous award at my school and the person who wins always has a great list of a variety of ECs and achievements (by that i mean like it takes 5 mins to list them all) and im wondering if thats worth my time to go for. at my school we do A levels which are like 2 year courses with an exam at the end of the 2 years. currently the school recommends i take 3 only (most people do) but there is an option of choosing 4. should i do one more subject and sacrifice some time doing ECs? any feedback would help thanks for being the most genuine channel on youtube

And exactly, at the end of the day, no one except ex-college admissions officers (and even their info might not be most current) know what's going on, so there's not much to speculating what differing opinions mean! Would be happy to do a different kind of collab in the future though :)
