As a 7th grade science teacher, I love your videos because your speak so much about genetics. We spend about 4 weeks covering genetics in our curriculum and I frequently pull up one of your vids to give real life examples of important concepts. This is way more fun for the kids then a worksheet of 15 Punnett Squares. You're a great teacher. Thanks for the great resource.

Katy Baby, Oreo is a morph in African fat tailed geckos, not leopard geckos. They are incredibly similar in appearance but require considerably different environments and behave differently as well.

This is probably due to random crossing of geckos and genetics from large scale breeders that just want to pop out as many as possible for stores. You really can't trace their genes. You can't know what other things the gecko has in it's bloodline which means they are nearly impossible to breed and sell to other breeders. Breeders definitely want to know what they are buying that they can't physically see on the gecko. This is why breeder geckos are far more expensive, because they know what genes are exactly in the gecko from knowing what the parent's parent's parent's were.

OMG thx Brian! I've been for this for long time(seriously Im sick of snake except hognose).Keep moving forward Brian :);
Great episode again! I always love to hear about your geckos Brian. After having kept them for years, I started breeding them because of you, and now I always have 20-50 leopard geckos in terrariums & rack systems... I mean, they almost breed too fast! Im being forced to sell every week almost :o Thanx again for all the helt you give through your show and vlog -I don't think I would've ever jumped into this otherwise ;)
WOW Emerines are so cool Brian...hmmmm now this is a pet that i think i could talk Stephanie into HAHA...Again, you are so informative and so easily understood...I image we could sit down for a coffee and talk animals for days lol..You get so passionate about every animal you show us..it really is inspiring....THANK YOU for all you do.... Ryan / Mackenzie
Brian will you do a genetic episode for us nerds out here if love it
great show Brian!!! when u going live on FB again??
been watching your vlogs for a few weeks now. didn't even realize that wasn't your main channel lol.
Brian, you should really consider working with a few Tokay Gecko morphs. There's some really beautiful color morph. Some morphs are so confusing, people that have been breeding them for about 10 years, still can't figure out certain genes. Plus you don't mind getting bitten by snakes, so a Tokay bite shouldn't phase you. haha

Great info for the beginners. I've seen so many people have trouble keeping these guys. Not sure how, it's a pretty easy animal to keep.
Hey Brian, you should do a show getting into genetics! I love hearing and learning about that. Plus it'd help me out understanding breeding in general ;)

Hi I know this comment is old but please do not listen to there advice they don't have the proper requirements in the leos enclosure and they give false information I would suggest looking into a breeder you know that is ethical and asking them questions about it
That mack supersnow tremper white and yellow is awesome! Just got my first pair of leopards! Great episode!

Hello. I am a leopard gecko breeder, I am currently line breeding tangerine tornados to see how orange I can get em. So anyways currently I just have them in stacked tubs in a heated room, and I'd like to get them into a rack system. I love you ones you guys have and was wondering who you purchased them from or how you built them. And also, how do you use the heat tape? Do you put it on the tub or in the back of the shelf? Thx!
Another great video. I'm back into leopards and really enjoying the new genes that are available. Question - behind you some tubs say "ME?", what does that mean?
I looove this video! But I was wondering, if you have the time, if you could do a 'Leopard gecko gene info for beginners', just the basics. I know you touched lightly on this topic, but if you could go more into depth-- I apologize if i'm not making very much sense, long day and I have feeder crickets chirping in the background lol. But yeah just to sum it all up just a beginners video on Leopard gecko genetics
awesome vid! next, skinks!
Do a video about bearded dragons
Where do you buy the rack systems? And where are they? Love your channel! 😀🐍🐊🐸🐢
Hey Brian, where do you get your supplements from?
hi! love your channel, both of them! you said that in this clip that coco fiber(husk?) is good for keeping humidity, but every time my leopard gecko get in contact with it he starts mutilate him self. Biting his own tail repeatedly and form big wounds. I keep him far away from it as possible, but accidents happen. do you know any reason why he would react that way? there aren't any vets in my area that knows why. :( love you bro!
I'm looking to buy a large snake. Do you think you could do a video on things to look for when buying specifically large snakes?
I love the blazing lizard one!
Leopard geckos have such amazing body structure and their heads are very cool looking
For breeding do you have to cool them down before breeding?
So glad I am studying biology and understand it all haha, genetics are amazing!
Brian I've seen some leopard geckos that were absolutely huge are there different sub species of leopard geckos that do get bigger than others?
hi guys just want to ask a question , I have a lepard gecko he is about 6 months, the problem I am having is he isn't eating as much as he had been, I am also new to being a lizard parent , so I am worrying a little , now my beardie, is growing great and eating shedding a lot, I got him when he was about 3 months , they both are sweet and have personalities . ...I do give both my little guys calcium and make sure their habitats are clean daily, and deep cleaned weekly, so if you could help let me know oh my Leo's tail is meaty , I know that's where they hold their food if it becomes scarce, so do they hibernate and eat less in winter!? Thank you in advance for your videos and education on these subjects
Hey Brian, I met you at the last reptile expo in Toronto. Are you going back in a few weeks for the next one?
Have you ever done a show on racks? I have a lot of herps in display enclosures, but I have enough adult leopard geckos that I have considered breeding. any advice?
Do you got Crested Geckos (Correlophus ciliatus) as well or just Leopard Geckos från the gecko Family? Got both at home, the leopard gecko(0.1) is really active in daylight while the Crested Geckos (got 1.1 Crested Geckos) are only night active, but really love the difference on the animals. :) but favorite home is as always the 0.1 bc normal 66% het albino :) love to see the different animals u got man! keep both vlogs and Snakebytes up! love from Sweden
Brian, do they prefer to be solitary? Or do they like company?
Man, you are lucky to have such a fun job. I wish I had that.
I have a 2 year old Firewater Albino leopard gecko, what category would he fall under in terms of the 3 albinos?
I want a gecko so much I'm gonna try to get one they so cute and they look easy to take care of especially if you loose them bc they can stay a while with out eating
heeeeyyy i need help plss if the place where i live is always 80-90 and 75 in the winter( the coldest it gets its 59), do i still need a heat source for a leopard gecko?
My leopard gecko looks the same as the one at 14:07! Mines a Super snow tremper albino with a 50% het for eclipse! They're almost the same! :D
Where did you learn so much about genetics? Very impressive. :)
Just a question how do you keep your reptiles without heat lamps or heat mats?
How often do you put the dust/ vitamins on. Is it everyday, or every week etc? I've been thinking about getting a leopard gecko, you pretty much covered everything else, it helps alot. ^_^

A leopard gecko would be my 5th pet I ever had. I WANT ONE!!
How do you keep the cool side at the right temp.?
They're so sweet
hi i have a question with breeding crested geckos and taking care of the egg i would love you to help me out with this!
Leopard Geckos: Cool head shape, eyes, body structure, dinosaur looking, very chill, amazing colors, easy to take care of, the skin feels pretty soft, and they are so adorable when they are babies
what is the most expensive or rarest leopard gecko you own? and will you be at repticon in atl january 7th
I don't understand how he keeps the right temperature on all of the shelves, does he have heat lamps in there? If someone could explain that would be greatly appreciated.
What web site would i go to, too order a leopard gecko from Brian?
can you do an episode on pueblan milksnakes?? (lampropeltis triangulum campbelli) they're my favorite milksnake species.
I'm getting a sand boa but I want to use sand but I don't know what sand to get what sand should I get ?
I have a leucistic leopard gecko . She looks like the blizzard but her tail has a light pink color and her body has a yellow green tint to it and I was told that as she gets older and with every shed she will lighten up to albino in color
How would I figure out what morphs my leo has? I know he has Carrot Tail, but I dont know what else he has.
Brian can you please bring back episodes like this ? I miss snakebytes
nice video
I have 7 leopard geckos, they are great
can u do a video on the fat taled geckos and do a compare and contrast between the two leopard geckos and fat tail geckos
Good luck getting Brian to answer your message, i asked for help about my kingsnake and he never replied back even though it said he did read it
what is your favorite brand of substrate?
Do leopard geckos need uvb lighting?
Is he using calcium with or without Vitamin d3?
What is the leopard gecko he was holding in the beginning of the video
Omg I was watching this with my ball python and he was exploring my bed. When he found my iPad he laid on it and disliked the video 😂
