I wasn’t aware there was pro version. I’ve always used the version that gives you access to receive ITBs and see currently bidding jobs.

Any leads for solar installation for commercial buildings contracts

Solar contracts are a very tiny niche so it’s kind of hard to find those projects using some of the lead platforms. One idea is you could research which projects are coming out in your area to be LEED certified and try to contact your clients there. Another thing you can do is make relationships with your suppliers that sell solar equipment, and maybe offer them a finders fee for recommending you.

For $150/month you can get the Bronze Plan. This is more than sufficient to land great projects.

Why not just do a building permit lookup for free and just email the GCs that way? Or, if you specialize in a trade, and you been around half a decade, aren't you already getting contacted by GCs? I don't even do commercial work and I get hit up a bunch from companies that want me to submit bids. A platform like this for residential would be interesting.

Hey Matt. Yes looking up building permits is another method. You can go to the local building dept and get a list. The thing is at the point of permits, they likely have already bid out the job and awarded Subcontractors. You might squeeze a rare job that they don’t have your Sub or you steal someone else’s award. But using the lead platforms as an entry-point, you have a chance to bid this first job and if you ask the right questions, you’ll find out what other projects they have coming up. For a small cost of $100-200/month, you get access to all the projects contractors and architects are posting and researchers are finding. I have another video I’m about to release which is a free way to get leads so watch out for that.

@@iambuilders I do tile. You don't even need a permit for installing tile. The GC is gonna need the permit before framing. And most times they don't have tile installers scheduled until after the framing goes up. Most cities have the permits up online as free public record. So you go on there and say, ok ABC builder filed a permit to put up a house over here. Lemme call them up.

On the The Bluebook and Construct Connect, you can filter for projects post-bid and jobs after it’s been awarded, so you can find the jobs that are ready to start.
