@@iambuilders I own two small businesses in eastern Pennsylvania. One is shower door/mirrors and accessories. Other is almost a handyman service. Contracted with 4 builders with both of the companies. Always looking for tips and encouragement which you definitely provide. Thank you

hey Daniel my name is Efrain and im located in Knoxville TN Im 18 and I have worked in construction with my father since I was 10 he is currently a project manager and since then I have enjoyed being in the work field and im planning on starting a GC company and probaly focus more in residential work and if everything goes as plan then start some commercial work. Ive decided that this is the profession I would like to pursue, for the past couple months I have been trying to learn as much as I possibly can about the different roles in this industry. To get a better understanding on what role best fits me and what is the most efficient way to get there. After coming across your channel you have absolutely opened my eyes in the potential of this industry through your perspective. My long term goal is to become a successful owner of a construction business. As a 20 year old who is hungry for success and wants to be in your shoes one day, what path would you recommend me to take. Should I take the schooling route, should I work for a successful contractor and learn home remodeling or is there a different route. How are you brand new to construction and get your gc license? Pretty sure most state req 5yrs experience in a field

If you’re brand new, I highly recommend you spend some time actually learning how to be a professional construction manager. If you don’t want to wait, I would start finding small subcontractors and bid for interiors packages like framing, drywall, paint. Focus on small/medium jobs. Low risk easy jobs. I can help you do this if you want.
