    I've been watching his tutorials and practicing and am quite surprised with what I can do now do in just 8 weeks. Took a few weeks for the knee pain to go away, having to take a few days to a week off a couple times. I am 40 trying to do what I wish I could of done in my 20's. Thanks a lot for sharing.

    Well because he knows shortcuts. It's possible. Time is not a real thing. I might fall in a backflip one day suddenly I feel confident enough to do it by myself. Is not about time is about not feeling fear and doing the right things.

    Does the same thing apply when practicing using mirrors? I'm a week in to dance practice (so total beginner level) dabbling with shuffle and electro swing to establish a foundation for my footwork. Will using a mirror to practice negatively affect me in the future?

  • @michaelvarney.

    @michaelvarney.

    4 жыл бұрын

    Oreseur dancing in a mirror helps a lot for lines, checking your movement etc. Recording video from other angles is good as well. Break things down slowly and check in the mirror. Then practice your rhythm wherever, mirror or not. Just don’t always look down... it makes your body smaller and the movements constrained.

    One of the better progression videos I've seen. Shows the legit start up with explanation, some defeated expressions, and actual evolution of the improvement. Other videos, the beginning clip, the person already looks like they got the basics of shuffling down. There are improvements, but it doesn't feel like a great struggle. (Not saying they didn't struggle. It just wasn't edited as such.)
