I had no idea that some read this letter and thought of Timothy as weak. I see him as someone Paul trusted to be there in his stead and just gave him instructions on how to run the church. Not to mention, Paul himself may not have known, but the Holy Spirit knew that this letter would be used even now among believers and churches.

Maybe I failed to understand, are we to condone homosexuality based on a trajectory on the betterment of mankind? Does this trajectory allow for further betterment where we can start considering adultry or murder or covetousness betterment just to accommodate societal norms? We cannot, as Christians, argue that the truth of Gods word is forever if we are going to pick and choose what is or isn't relevant due to what society wants to dictate.

Hi Michael, yes you did misunderstand. Pastor David was only quoting those who make the claims not making them himself or agreeing with them.

Yes, you misunderstood. Please rewatch. He’s saying that’s the excuses people give and it’s based on a very erroneous foundation. No, we are certainly not to condone any type of sin.

Just listening to this for the first time. I know, four years later and just now adding a comment. I'm gonna have to disagree with you on one of your points you made. The Word of God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. It does not change to meet the needs or wants of society. I am paraphrasing, but you said something along the lines of "we have progressed, with homosexuality, just like we did with slavery". I take that to mean, you believe that God approves of homosexuality correct? Because i believe, just like you, that Slavery is not commanded by God, but God strictly prohibits the act of homosexual behavior. So, I guess I just do not understand how you came to the conclusion that God supports Homosexuality. I like to use the phrase, "God loves us, but hates our sin". Maybe hate is the wrong word, but you get the idea Now, before I get blasted for this, let me say this. We all sin, my sin is not any less or greater than someone else's. And I am no one's judge, only God is. As a Christian I love all, regardless of what they decide to do because that is between them and God. But, just like it is a sin to lust after someone, it is a sin to have sexual immorality with the same sex. I ask for forgiveness for my sin, and I do my absolute best to turn away from those sins, and when I am tempted, I turn to God. I have convection. Being homosexual is a sin is God's eye, weather you agree or not, one thing we can agree with is that the Bible does not approve of homosexuality, just like Bible does not approve of other sins.

God created us. Therefore be can destroy us. The bible is parts of the past. The summary of the process of spiritual and human existence. Change the way we create a living in this huge earth, is our situation right now. Timothy has a representative testimony based on actuality. Peace and truth , create our path that completes our journey. I believe

Brandon, please listen again. I’d hate for anyone to think that Pastor Guzik is teaching to condone sin. He certainly is not. He was quoting the excuses people give to condone sin but says those excuses are based on a very erroneous foundation.
