As a mom, the verse about women being saved in childbirth resonates with me-birthing and raising a child is an act of trust in the Lord, dependence on Him and intense yet joyful sanctification. Motherhood is a path to “work out one’s salvation.” When one kid has a poopy diaper, another is wailing because they lost a favorite toy, and a third is exhausted from school and refusing to eat dinner-well one better rely on Jesus to “continue in faith, love, and holiness with self control” rather than having an “outburst of [fleshly] wrath.” Literal childbearing is a limited time experience-one just pushes, you don’t really need to continue in self control for that. 😂. But the process of bearing a child makes one a mother and begins a process, again, where one can work out her salvation in a very real way. God bless. Jesus saves.

Thank you for your bible studies. Your flock is truly blessed to have you and Sue till the soil, plant the seeds, water and harvest. Of course just my opinion, being a wife and having children is a beautiful ministry for women to be called to as a servant leader in the body of Christ. The hand that rocks the cradle rules the world by raising godly adults and strengthening good men (husbands).

Indeed that John verse is one of my favorite especially when I preach. Interestingly I am ordained evangelist however God some years since also called me to teach. Now I when I occasionally preach at an evangelistic meeting I find myself sometimes doing a bit of teaching :) .

Thank you Pastor Paul for your commitment to teaching the word of God so authentically - it is very refreshing. My husband and I are truly blessed by the anointing that God has placed on your life - and we thank you for your obedience to the Father. May the Lord be glorified. My prayer is that God continue to bless you and your family and grant you favor as with a shield, in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen ( :

I’ve heard for v. 15 “Being a mother is a high calling. Redeeming the fall by raising Godly children.” So as woman was part of humanity entering into sin, raising God-fearing offspring is in essence redeeming in some ways. Of course I don’t remember where I heard this originally. I’d be curious to see if that tracks with what you’ve studied.

33:00 The text doesn't say anything about them having a separate area for women. Some places may have had that but the text doesn't say so, and if there were places where that was not the case we shouldn't assume. Maybe the women were being a distraction by talking to their husbands when they were next to them.

Thank you so much for talking on this sensitive topic! 👏🏾💓 i wanted to ask: - are women allowed to have conversations about God, Theology and what they learnt whilst studying the bible with their brothers in Christ? - Is it wrong for a women to encourage their brother with scripture or a testimony to encourage them or telling them what scripture means in order to encourage them or help their understanding?

My take on it is that women are "in subjection to their OWN husbands", NOT to all men, so other brothers and sisters are all equal and just as important as each other in the body as a whole. That is other than pastors / deacons / bishops / elders who are always described as "husbands", so must be by definition, men. 1 Corinthians 12:25-27 25. that there should be no schism in the body; but [that] the members should have the same care one for another. 26. And whether one member suffereth, all the members suffer with it; or [one] member is honored, all the members rejoice with it. 27. Now ye are the body of Christ, and severally members thereof. [ASV]

Regarding the last verse on childbearing..I saw a commentary that noted it may refer to the Virgin birth. Because of a woman-through childbearing-the birth of Jesus will save us all.

Verse 15, and yet she shall be saved through child bearing, it was a woman who gave birth to our savior, even though we messed up. That's how I understand, but again that's my thoughts, we also must continue in faith, love and holiness, with self control.

I do like Your theaching Up to cerse 12 and then I was very curious about yours approach to this subject. As I am understanding verse 12 is a shift to view on family submission- not all human structure. Jesus is an example of submission, but in a marital relationship, not in a church relationship. I understand it as not putting yourself above your husband, and not submitting to all men in general. Likewise, we as all believers are to submit to God.

Yeah that last verse really leaves you scratching your head. I do agree that it seems to be referring to child-birth but then again truly Godly women at times do suffer and even die in child-birth sooo?? Yeah I't's a head scratcher.
