1 Simple Vitamin to Tighten Loose Sagging Skin | Dr Alan Mandell, DC

Sagging skin can be a side effect of the aging process - part and parcel to the fine lines and wrinkles that develop over time as skin loses elasticity and collagen production declines. Excessive exposure to the sun’s UVA and UVB rays, smoking cigarettes, and a poor diet can all diminish elasticity. And you may also find yourself experiencing sagging skin if you’ve lost a large amount of weight. These simple and proven strategies will be a great asset.

  • @nursingmama81

@@anitabruckner6762 ... God bless you and yours ... education, education, education ... education is very important, vital in becoming informed, to receive knowledge, to make an informed decision after learning all the facts ... Vitamin C is a water soluble vitamin ... meaning that you do end up eliminating (peeing out), whatever extra Vitamin C which your body doesn't need ... so, you cannot "overdose" on Vitamin C ... taking zinc tablets (following label instructions) is also good for the body as it helps build up your immunity levels ... viruses use your body as an "oven factory," to reproduce more of the same kind and type of viruses ... for instance, the common cold is a virus and there are many thousand types of viruses that can create the common cold ... this is why the doctors say to wash your hands because viruses can live on a door knob, handle, light switch, table, for a few days before dying off ... by that time, that freeloading virus has found another victim (you) and viruses are spread to everything else we touch because we touch everything else and get everyone else sick ... zinc helps create a barrier, a "brick wall" to the cells in your body ... your brick wall immunity will keep the viruses from starting to multiply and make you sick ... by the time your body's defenses know that you are sick, it's too late ... the "soldiers" in your body have to work double time in order to kill off the virus ... this is why we feel like "death warmed over," for 5 days, because these soldiers are trying to work, in overdrive, but haven't quite figured out how to kill the virus until you've been sick for 5 or 6 days ... zinc can be hard on your stomach ... meaning that zinc can make you feel like you have a "bad belly ache" or feel as if you want to "throw up," so, to fix that, take zinc when you eat a meal ... zinc cannot help you if you are throwing up, so, you end up saying you won't take it anymore because you don't like the way it makes you feel ... when a person has surgery, the doctors will ask you to take Vitamin C and zinc, in order to heal faster ... another good source is taking a prenatal vitamin, then you don't have to take the zinc tablets because there is plenty of zinc in the prenatal vitamin ... this is why the doctors put pregnant ladies on prenatal vitamins, because the growing baby needs a little help too ... if you breastfeed your baby, a prenatal vitamin is a good decision ... and an added plus for the baby because the mother gives her baby "immunity" that is in the breast milk, making baby healthier and will not get sick so easily ... I used to give my 2 daughters prenatal vitamins (20 years ago -- our youngest daughter is 27) ... 1 prenatal vitamin a day, with food, when they were young, starting at about 7 or 8 years old ... I'd tell their pediatrician that I gave them this prenatal vitamin and they never told me to stop giving it to them ... the pediatrician would also ask what soap they used to shower with ... I would say, antibacterial soap, and then tell the doctor that I lotioned up their body after a shower (healthy skin, skin that is not dry or cracked skin, is the first defense against bacteria and viruses) ... anyhoo, I like to eat gummy Vitamin C because that way I don't have to swallow any Vitamin C pills ... easier remedy to get Vitamin C in your body -- eat citrus fruits -- oranges are the best ... I eat the mandarin oranges which come in the little packages, about 3 or 4 in a day ... Yes, stay away from processed foods, foods that are produced in food factories are considered "processed" because these foods are loaded with preservatives, preservatives are not from nature ... for instance, 100 years ago, in the 1920s, all food was cooked and baked in the kitchen, everyone was healthier back then ... so, go back to what our great grandparents did to take care of themselves, eat healthier ... the fat-soluble vitamins to not "overload" on are Vitamins A, D, E, K ... when taking these vitamins, follow the package instructions because you do not "pee out" these kind of vitamins ... these are stored in our fat cells when we take in too much of these vitamins ... my doctor shook my hand when I first met her ... she said to me, ' "You are not a child playing outside in the sun, so you need Vitamin D" ' ... I asked her how she figured that out ... her answer -- because the palm of my hand she shook, the skin was dry ... yes, I know, you are going to say that if you use lotion all the time, your hands should be soft and not dry, but, in all reality, who really does that, I ask you ... drink lots of fluids, water is best ... yes, I know, water has no flavor, so, to fix that, add a little bit of 100% juice to your water to flavor it ... 8 to 10 glasses of 8 ounces of water is recommended every day when you are not exercising strenuously (or) doing intense labor outside in the heat, like landscaping, or, roofing a house ... if you are outside doing strenuous work, you need to drink more, as well as drink fluids that have electrolytes, like Gatorade or Propel ... electrolytes keeps your heart functioning well when you are overworking your heart with strenuous exercise, like when you go to the gym to exercise ... you feel better drinking Gatorade after leaving the gym ... the glasses of water, the 8 to 10 is the same as 4 to 5 bottles of water ... some people cannot have a great deal of water because their doctor says they can't have a lot of water ... for instance, if that person has congestive heart failure (or) failing kidneys, the cardiologist, the heart doctor, and the renal (kidney) doctor will say that they can only have about 1000 mL of liquids in a 24 hour period, so that means that person has to calculate the total amount of liquids that is in the soup, coffee, milk, juice, jello, etc., etc., etc. ... if a food portion can melt, like jello and ice cream, then it is calculated as part of the fluid intake, the total of what is "taken in" when you eat or drink ... this is why people can die from drinking gallons and gallons of water without being under a doctor's care ... it's called "water poisoning," because our bodies cannot handle a huge overload of water in a short period of time ... for example, when it is reported that college kids are hazed and are forced to drink gallons and gallons of water ... our cells in our body actually "explode" and are destroyed because of an overload of liquids, like alcohol, not just water ... I know I'm a windbag (the bag attached to the Scottish pipes musical instrument ... you keep squeezing the air out of the bag and the pipes keep making noise) ... it's important to make an informed decision after knowing as much as you can about something ... I remain your most humble servant.

It’s been interesting to go from just strength training with kettlebells, to building up in some areas, like quads (cuz I don’t want anyone to come help me up off the ice like an old lady! It’s almost all in the quads, not the abs).

I do a stationary bike on loose speed and they also have different exercise bands that are good to work with that can be bought where most exercise equipment is sold. Dr. Have recommended this to me. The exercise bike is a recumbent bike which is more comfortable at my age of 72, any amount of time you do is good for your knees and heart etc. I try to do 30 minutes while watching television. You can break up the time and do some in the morning and some later in the day. Good luck ladies.

I say with shame that I smoked for 34 years. However, I stayed out of the summer sun, walked everywhere, never ate junk food or had sugary drinks, had an optimistic outlook, a happy marriage and no financial worries. I'm in my mid 70s and still have no facial wrinkles. I'm also a citrus junkie!

Beautiful, beautiful advice, Dr. Mandell-thank you for your thoughtful and extremely helpful advice.💐 I would add only one other important component to your list, which would be to practice maintaining a positive attitude every day. It’s so easy to let ourselves get stressed-out these days, especially by watching too much upsetting news and then getting caught up in worry, fear, anger, etc. After my hubby and I agreed to stop watching the news throughout the day (and especially during dinner) and to mostly watch only positive things or listen to music instead (especially the Solfeggio scale), it’s been SO MUCH EASIER to pay attention to our shared commitment to doing all the healthy things you advise. You are a wonderful teacher, a great example of what you teach, and a true blessing to all of us who follow your excellent videos. Again, thank you!!🥰🥰

@@mrtickleuk yes, but so easy to forget to DO! Well, I find myself sitting far too many hours watching videos on how to get better, fitter, slimmer, younger, happier and the hours fly by! I have not long found out that I'm now diabetic, and study and worry about what I should eat, and if I should fast or not, and what supplements I should take, and how to deal with neuropathy etc.etc. and before I know it the day has gone! Of course, I need to watch something less serious after all the studying and so I search for a bit of comedy, and next thing its the middle of the night! Theoretically, I know what I should do! Put down the flipping phone! Its so easy to slip into a type of virtual reality! Right, I'm not ready to jog around the block, but I'm switching off for a bit! The news stresses me, I'm fed up with criticizing the royal couple, had it up to my neck with covid stuff and housework that never ends and going to have a bath and then cycle round the park and look for nature! Trees and birds and flowers and doggies and little baby ducklings. Have a good day!
