A full, comprehensive guide from the man himself! Been playing Miguel for over 10 years, but Leo is a character that i've always had interest in and dabbled with since Tekken 6! Without my main character, what better opportunity than now? Been watching your gameplay, along with Masa, almost exclusively trying to learn, but there is so much versatility to this character to the point it's confusing. ​@@ayorichieid love to see strings that include the down 1 2 ducking stance strikes I've done them by accident and can't figure it out 100% and I really really need a jab string that he's into a over head or just a combo that ges into or ends ina overhead. I've learned most on my wn without reading the moves. I'm not bad at all; I'm at vanquisher right now. Great video I'll keep tabs on you

Just so high quality content, I really enjoyed the guide. Leo is hilarious in Tekken 8, they managed to make the character sound so funny. Finally gives Leo the personality it needed. My favorite quote is „Nicht so!“ when he parries something.

its really frustrating me

I am missing Julia so I was forced to find another main. I have played all the characters in the game in ranked to get a feel for all of them. Leo definitely stood out. Even though I played a bit of Leo in T7, he seems much more fleshed out in this game. I don't think I'll be good enough to do iWS 3 combos, but hopefully can still be competitive without it. This guide will help so much, thanks!

Lol funny enough I am also a long time Julia main in disbelief that she's not on the roster. Tried a few characters but easily Leo was the right fit until we get our girl back.

19:24 I just wanna note b1,1+2 on the second time dosent connect on some female characters beacause of there hitbox so you just gotta continue on without it. Love the guide Richie made me change up my playstyle to be a better player 👍

Love the way Ayo explains things very simply for us noobs out there. Labbing Leo as an opponent because I keep getting schooled by him (also thinking about trying him myself because his design and functionality is just so cool)

It seems that everyone's heat engager is +17 which means that would be their universal baseline to balance all moves in this game. I figured it would be slightly different for each character but since they are all the same then it is safe to assume that either most or all of the cast is limited equally to how many moves are plus & to which those plus moves are specifically applied to

You can connect Heat Burst after sabaki parry, and similar counterhits, after a microdash. The qcf pickup is important to learn, however this is still pretty insane I think lol

Yeah u can pickup ch ss1+2 with heat burst.

i'm a claudio main that kinda wants a different character to play then i saw leo has lightning glare and thought "wow a starburst-adjacent mechanic"

I’m a beginner on Tekken and this is an amazing guide. The combos are still a bit advanced for me though. 😅 I mostly use the stance from f4 for combos. But you gave me very good insight on what buttons to use the most.

Haven't checked in on streams lately, but seen you do uf1,1t! bok1+2 for a wallcombo. Found that doing 1,df1,2, or even better 3,2,3t! on the wall sets up d1+2,1+2 spike perfectly

You can do b1,4 knk3,4 into a 50% scaled ws1,4,1 if you time it right for big damage too

About the crouch cancel onto crouch dash thing, looks like you can cancel QCF1 crouch recovery into background SS, and cancel that SS into QCF, allowing this to happen

How do you do the dash cancel? The knk cancel in tekken 8 I can’t really get it I would love feedback form any Leo players

because of the stances, you have to guess what his next move is. Youd be amazed how many time people fall for the f+4, 4, as well as bc+4, 2. The better you know the stances and transitions, the more aggressive and annoying youll become

the most annoying part about leo ist, you dontsee him at all. didnt change with 8. im 40 hours in, barely any training mode aside from matchmaking and did not face 1 so far. always love to see your leo in tournaments

Never been a tekken player ddnt know who to pick to play. 2 days in a figure i lile this weird fighting style of this character and so i went for it and started spamming leo. I can already do 10hutbcombos and remember all moves. I can now juggle but not to an extend where i observed other players when they juggle like nobway u getting up

​@ayorichie hey man thanks for replying. I am still doing tutorial and doing practice ddnt know u can counter opponents attacks. I am still versing AIs finished the arcade on hard and arcade quest. I know to myself i am going to get humbled by veteran players if i jump to player vs player. I am battling ghost and realize these are AI of players play data i see opponents spamming skills and some good ghost can juggle like crazy.

It would be helpful to show the command on screen when you talk about a move

I have a combo for you. I don't know if it's any good. I'm just a noob but here I go : Df2, b1 1+2, 1, f3d, bok12, b1+2 1+2 qcf1+2. It does 69 dmg in the open . I use it as a BnB. I just replace the ender by a bok12 when near a wall to have a higher wall splat.

its good for damage in open stages! but a thing with leo is that with tailspin, if you can save it for the wall, the wallcombo will do 40 damage, which is kinda stupid imo
