Ойын-сауық
Rip up the sky with your Twin Timber using a simple propeller swap. If you're ready for more thrust, pop the two APC props below into your Twinber and tear it up. You'll love it!

Looking good, you're probably getting some rotor from the trees making turbulent air near the ground
I might need to see this setup on floats. Those big ol’ props would absolutely shred!! 👍🏼
I love the full scale Navion in the background of this video. I pull my new Timber Twin out of the box next weekend.

@@TwoBrosRC my dad had one and we flew all over in it. I got an old balsa kit from the 60's, I'm gonna attempt to put in a receiver and fly it.
Just bought the props excited to try this set up! Thank you for sharing
Like Jeremy Clarkson says - "MORE POWEEEEEEEER!!" Lol.
As a fairly new pilot, I am glad to see that it's okay to blame the wind on bad landings LOL.
I’ve always meant to ask you, who’s the other brother in Two Brothers Radio Control? I only see you flying, Jon.

Look back in our channel history and you'll see Tony. He's been Jon's best friend since 2006 and is also his brother-in-law, hence the channel name. It's a reference to their shared history and passion for aviation. Tony has been busy with work and life and isn't as available as he used to be, but he does occasionally make appearances.
I just ordered a set of those props $16.61 out the door.
Nice! I run a 13x4 on my XFly Tasman gives plenty of thrust! 🎉
Awesome flying and boy those props woke that plane right up.

It definitely makes a massive difference in how it handles!
We visit my in-laws in Garner a few times every Summer. I’d love to bring my FMS SuperCub with me and fly with you one of those times, Jon 👍🏼 Just need to make room in the Prius for her. 😂
Well, since I broke my props tonight... I punched it for take off and I think the wheels caught a rut and nosed over. Oh well, time try the 2-bladed props. They're on their way. Maybe I'll try these aileron configurations too. Thanks for the post.
I've had both flap servos come loose from doing full span ailerons, I just glued them both back in and no problems. I might as well just do the same thing to the aileron servos too before they come loose. Just ordered 13x4 props with timber x spinners and can't wait to try it. I also switched the props and motor rotation to spin outwards and tried that and it can do some crazy maneuvers but ill prolly switch them back to normal

I installed the 13x4 props. Did you lose some top end speed with those? Also when flying i noticed I have to keep power almost to 50% to keep the plane flying straight any thing less it wants to fall out the sky
Cool deal bro nice flight
Love the video. Still trying to decide on my second plane. Jumping in that discord now

Just being nosey what is your first plane
Just did the 13x4 mod and put the Draco tires on it. Entirely different plane now.

Right? It's definitely enjoyable with the added thrust.
I like using bi-blades cause I'm cheap. I like watching your channel to see what the plane is actually capable of.

Happy to help!
What did the prop change do to flight time, on the same battery? Thinking of getting one of these.
@TwoBrosRC
Жыл бұрын
It slightly reduces it - which is a great tradeoff for the amount of thrust it provides.
hello, you said you recommended turn off thrust diff with the bigger props, is that even if im just going to fly normal, not 3d
@TwoBrosRC

If you're doing sport flying, you can leave it as-is.
Hey Jon, I'm thinking of getting a timber. I was wondering what timber you prefer for 3D flying. TheTurbo timber evolution or the Twin timber with the mods. Thank you
@TwoBrosRC
3 ай бұрын
The Timber Evo has been our choice for limited 3D flying for a long time. The Twin is fun but it's just not as light or capable as the Evo is.

At 4:20 on your flight timer im seeing you esc temp reading 170*F, is that an ok temp?
@TwoBrosRC

Yep. That's totally normal. The ESC doesn't go into thermal protection until 220F.
can I use 'CW' / 'CCW' props? I can't really find 'pusher props' in my area... thanks

Probably not, each prop is usually specific to a motor.

@@TwoBrosRC thanks for your reply buddy.
My apologies for asking a basic question - - is there a guidance document for how to disable differential thrust on the Twin Timber?

It's in the ESC settings which are adjusted by using your transmitter or programing box.

What do you think about the growing number of balsa ARF planes the Motion RC offers? Have you tried any of them or are you planning to? Would be interesting if someone like you who predominantly flies foam could give first hand experience on the differences. Cheers

Hey Jon Would it ne possible That you could somehow testfly a freewing 70mm f16 Arctic camo? Or could you do a second landing Tutorial on another 70mm f16?
@TwoBrosRC

It's pretty simple - just hold the nose up and apply throttle until it slowly sinks down on the mains. Check our landings from this vid and you should see the stick movements: kzread.info/dash/bejne/aa2D15eMlsuyeKQ.html

Temps are lower also
10:57 Exactly Jon that's how all of the best get made by just smashing the sticks to see what the plane does and to try to do it again. Here's a idea for another mod Jon why not take those 2 motors&props off this Turbo Timber and move it to your Turbo Timber X mash up so you can call it your Twin Turbo Timber X or TTTX for short??

Way to make excuses for HH and their absolute bare minimum of adhesive usage!
@TwoBrosRC

Mass manufacturing isn't perfect. We're not going to bag on HH because the factory glue didn't hold up to extreme aerobatics that the plane wasn't designed for.
