The #1 mock scrape scent is a whole lot cheaper than you may believe! What is it? Well let's just say if you have deer on your land, then you already have what I have found in my extensive travels and experiences, to be the best mock scrape scent you can find. You need to be using my own, personal, original mock scrape scent and overall mock scrape system, right now! And this is how...

Jeff, your ability to recognize the smallest of detail is second to none. GREAT VIDEO!
It's funny how deer scent companies fool people to buy their products to be successful during season. I was fooled for a couple years till I started watching these videos and now my scrapes are more active without scent then with scent. Thank you so much Jeff for your advise. Saves me a bunch of money.
Hunting season never ends, thank goodness!
Heh ! Saves money . Hard telling how much I've spent on artificial scents in years past.Love It. Also I've heard the fathers day event was awesome. Thanks for what you do.

Loving these summer videos in prep for deer season my man! Thanks so much! My wife actually got into a large piece of public two evenings ago for some scouting and I was so glad that just after hanging a trail camera she spotted the large buck we are after this season…awesome times. Your expertise helps so much.
Jeff..... As always outstanding educational video for the hunting community. Thank you.
Thanks for all the information to help us Hunters! Gonna be using a lot of your tips this year especially this one in this video.

Thanks Jeff we are going up next month for a wrok detail, this is on my HIT LIST. I have Never done this and am Excited to try it out. Got 2 new bow stands with trails in and out of the area, Thanks again
Learning more from your vids than any I have watched all the years, all those I followed raving about the moon phases and laying scent and activity times yota yota yota.. Your info is totally more valuable than all theirs put together.. Thank You
Great Video!! Thank you for your awesome content🙏
Been watching your videos now for a while! Yesterday I was out on my family property, we had a birthday party for my sister and girlfriend. Out riding 4wheelers and dirt bikes hiking then hung a couple stands and put out 2 vine mock scrapes. Super excited to see how they worked in about a month when I go check the cameras.!
Hey Jeff, you've completely changed and verified my view on mock/natural scrapes going foward. 2 deer seasons ago I was set up about 70 yards below 2 natural scrapes that were on the edge of an old logging road. That morning I had 3 bucks each bigger than the previous hit only the 1 scrape which had a natural vine about 5 feet off the ground. Each buck kept going on their back legs and rubbing their head on it and neither of them actually pawed the ground. Definitely not going to waste any more $ on expensive doe/buck urine and instead put up some vine mock scrapes instead. Ty Jeff and gl in the woods this fall!
Great observation on him, moving his rack around the vine. It makes sense a big buck would do that to protect their recent marking, but most wouldn’t notice that, myself included. Pay attention to details, they tell a story all the time. Cool stuff Jeff.
That's pretty cool to know its almost like how we check in at a hotel but for them it's a check in for the area
Thanks Jeff and Dylan for the time. We enjoy the content. Natural or mock scrape best?
This is really cool information if you take time to process

Couldn't agree more. Tried these types of MS out for the very first time last year, in Canada NB, and had quite a few different Does/Fawns come visit and CHECK who had been through the area and left their own scent. Only had one yearling buck check it, but that I believe has more to do with low Buck numbers because of a stupid Bucks Only law that's been around in this province now for over 25 years !
I just went out on my property and put a hanging vine on a known buck trail just off the ridge. Within eight hour I had my big 10 and big nine both hit it the big 10 has been to it three times now, in less than 12 hours. Crazy!
Have the remnants of about a 1.5" vine (and video!) that my target buck caught in his antlers last year and snapped in half. The power in these deer...and in the vines to attract them!
Last night scouting from the truck saw the bucks in my area 1.5 miles down the road in a bean field feeding at last light Jeff you say all the time they move 1-2 miles during the summer season I saw that last night I’m getting a prerut game plan for the opener here in Nodak bucks on beans before the leaves turn yellow
Great video! When using Jack Pines for a licking branch in Northern Michigan, do you leave the needles on or do you prefer to delimb the branch?
Jeff....great info as always. Did you get your buckwheat planted? I only had weeds come up from the first planting because of the draught, so I replanted on June 19th. Bob
Jeff as we get closer to the opener can you go over prerut strategies..your thoughts on early season and killing mature deer…
Can you do a video on working a tree climber and what accessories are necessary and the best safety vest.
After watching one of your videos on hanging a grape vine, I put one up about 3 years ago close to a salt lick. They are still rubbing their faces on it and giving it the sniff test. Who knew.
I'm late! Lol, thanks for the video!
Is it a good idea to change the vine that has been working, but could be set up better or do my best to keep it as it is?
How often do you change out scrape vines? Is it something where you do it on a certain interval or some other factor?
Jeff How come some times I have a vine hanging. level ground. Clear all around it and it's just a foot off a deer run and had a camera. And a deer never hits it at all. Would you know why that is. Also why dont you have cell cameras on the scrapes so you dont have to go there and pull the card. To take the chance of leaving your scent.
Fixed my mock scrape and im going to invest in a No Glow trail camera. There are bucks I haven't seen in months and I wondered why. Duh, they see the red lights. Thank you for all the info, it is helping me and so many others have successful hunts, and better hunts.

How would you recommend making a mock scrape on public land where it’s not legal to cut vines?
Just hung one this week. It doesn't have space for a deer to spin 360 around it but it's the only place that works with the area I have to work at.

Should I put the scent on when I put it up in may
Would you put in a mock scrape out on Mi state land ? Really wanting to dont know if I should ? Pros and cons is it even legal ?
You mention that most of these mock scrape videos, people ask “where should I place my mock scrape?” I am hunting a rock pile tree in the middle of a field. There are travel corridors through the grass that I have mowed for years. Should I bury power line poles in the field to hang a mock scrape? I have a couple big loads of them, but I’m worried they will scare the deer away. Not that they bother the deer that eat my garden surrounded by them!
Quick question will beans grow on the side of a hill
Hi Jeff. I’ve followed your mock scrape principles for two years and have not found my deer to be the slightest bit interested in them. I live in Texas and wonder is it a location thing or something I’m failing to do correctly. Have you experienced this before?
Will it work to put mock scrapes on a mowed trail? My area is super thick, so i try to keep a couple trails mowed around my property. Each time i look for a spot, and keep thinking a trail is the nest spot.
You need to get more apparel on the website hoddies shirts hats u know they go like hott cakes. Your the major outdoor guy on KZread for whitetail. Do you do much turkey hunting??
I don't bow hunt but I rifle hunt. Should I still use a mock scrape to draw them to the property, or let them be?
What should I hang if I don't have vines?
Hi, I just purchased 70 acres in East Texas. Is there any services that would look at this property and help set it up for Whitetail hunting?
When you hunt do you use deer calls?
What if you don't have vines ? I live in Canada.
How many mock scrape set ups would you suggest putting on a 22 acre parcel? Thanks for sharing all your knowledge 🙏🏼

Jeff, have you seen any success with licking branches made of striped maple. Seems to be rubbed on a lot by me in NY. I put one up last month to test.

I've used stripe maple as a liking branch because they love rubbing on them and it worked just fine. I believe the type of wood is not as important as having it in their face in the right location.
Curious how many of last years summer stayed as core bucks for the hunting season?
@whitetailhabitatsolutions9751

About 1/2 of them...but then we gained several times more. We had very few Summer Bucks that were consistent
I've never hung a mock scrape and was wondering you say you don't add sent on the vine! What about when u first hang it? Should you add smell to the vine so the deer will find it or just put some on the ground? Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Once you hang it in the right spot deer will begin to leave their preorbital, Forehead, and salivary gland scent on it. Each deer has its own unique scent. Me personally, I have been using an all natural pre orbital from Smokey's Deer Lures to Jumpstart my mock scrapes in March. It is the only patented, all natural, PreOrbital on the market.
