1 MILLION VIEWS in the project. OPEL GT 1971
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Thank YOU all for watching this project on my channel. I started to make KZread diary for the project for couple of my friends, and did not expect it to interest other people as well. Super happy for the community that has appeared to support and help me with the WORLDS RUSTIEST Opel GT. Currently working with 2.2E engine, and rear wheel arches. Hopefully next episode will be out soon. Thanks for the all the comments, likes and views...Stay tuned...

Good afternoon in Finland! I´m really not surprised that you got so many views. I think I speak for more than myself when I say that we who restore old classics would like to see exactly what you post. I dislike watching cars being restored with firberglass filler. I don´t enjoy commercial "shows" with fake deadlines and bickering. AND.. I could not be bothered spending 45 minutes watching a guy with a gopro yapping away about what his dreams are and what he would like to do.. Glad to see your progress, your thorough approach and your craftsmanship! Finally, peace everyone, this is just my opinion. If you like to see something different it´s fine.
Wow you are a real artist. Your skills are more than impressive! One lucky GT!

I have always been a fan of the Opel GT since I first laid eyes on one. I would love to have one, one day, but wouldn't dream of buying one that needs all that work. My hat is off to you sir, both for rescuing a car that many wouldn't do what you're doing, and also for the excellent video and production work you do. Can't wait to see the first start and first drive. It will be a priceless treasure when you are done with it. Looking forward to the rest of the project. Congrats on a million views! Congrats on the 1 million views for this series. Well deserved and never has so much rust repair been done on one car, LOL. I am still holding on to my prediction that every panel on this car will be repaired at some point. What is also amazing is you are doing this mostly with hand tools and small power tools; and not with a complete fabrication shop. Goes to show talent will overcome having all the tools in the world if you do not have talent. Really looking forward to the upcoming episodes.

Don't worry. After *that* lot of work we stay until it's done. Your page differs quite significantly from other "restorer" pages due to craftmanship and - results. Oh, thanks ...Although I am very much noobie with this.....
@wacholder5690
14 күн бұрын
@@GT1900garage I think you cannot be noobie enough with it - if you take it serious. Gaining results can be done one way or another. If you want to achieve something good and lasting you need to take the work serious. If it is only to get something running after x years in a shed and only for snorts and giggles on the KZread ... well ... "let's throw something together ...". That's a fairly common approach on these "experts". As said: they cannot even properly handle tools. They have no sort of work schedule, no preparation time and no brain effort how to proceed anyway. What's the use of that ? Only to proove they can get something working again ? That's lame and poor. Projects like yours take time. And money for sure. They require tools and skills and a quiet pace where every step needs to be considered and planned ahead. That's nothing, which gains fast results. It is a process. And things you did not consider or take in account *will* affect the following steps. So it takes x videos to show. Well. That's the way it is. Real life is no TV, where all problems are solved within 90 minutes. Carry On and take care !
I had forgotten how much work you have put into the car. I may have to go back and rewatch some of those earlier episodes. Rewatching counts as a view??

I consider myself extremely lucky that I happen to be restoring a GT as well, my first car project, and I get to see what's underneath, so I know what corners to cut and which not to. Congrats on a million views. That's an insane number of people. Consider that more people have seen one of your videos than have ever lived or even been to several actual States in the USA. Consider that an arena holds like, 20,000 people. Your viewers would fill an arena in every one of 50 states. It's mind-boggling to recognize the true scope of what you've shared with the world.

@@GT1900garage a little bit off everything, but mostly a cliffhanger.
Actually I have *two* other pages on KZread I would judge as similarly dedicated: Bad Obsession Motorsports (with "Project Binky" - in a very british way - and *still* not fully finished) and Australian Armour and Artillery Museum with their "Workshop Wednesdays". Skilled people that - in most cases - know what they are doing or at least have a good educated guess on how to proceed if things don't work as supposed. There you can learn something. In case you plan to restore a tank or build a racing car almost from scratch.
