I can absolutely relate. One of the biggest elements that sucks me into a game is the music! In fact, some of my fondest memories of both Fallout 3 and Skyrim are the soundtracks! Story and graphics can get you hooked. Exceptional soundtracks like the ones in this video lead to complete immersion.

No joke. Music like this surely sets the tone for a character or setting. I'd loooooove to play a game that had deeply developed cultures with deeply unique music for each. For example, a coven of witches would have music like this perhaps, giving a feeling of something mysterious, beautiful, and dark, while desert nomads would have something very different, giving a feeling of grit, community, and harmony.

Actually, Mount and Blade Warband is kind of like that. If you haven't had the pleasure, it's a medieval simulator (w/out the magic). Just castles, and sieges, and horses, blades, blunt weapons, ranged weapons and conquest. More to the point! The continent is dived up amongst like 7 nations (roughly?). It has kurdish, and nordic, and english, and arabian cultures and more depending on the mods you play with. Each nation has tunes. It certainly isn't on level with the music or gamplay of something like Skyrim, BUT the new release (some time early next year) has given me lots of anticipation. Check out Mount and Blade Bannerlord reviews! The game looks fantastic and I hope it lives up to its expectations and more!

@@Natalie-hl2cx depending on the type of christian you could totally present it to her in a way that goes hand in hand with the religion (personally i'm a practicing Christian but also lend lots from magic and witchcraft in my exoteric rituals) but obviously if she's a less accepting kind of Christian then it's probably best to just keep it to yourself until you move out. personally i'm a similar boat with my parents being strict atheists, anything religious or spiritual is completely banned in my house and given that i'm 16 i prefer to just keep all my practices to myself since i enjoy having a house and food and loving family despite their closed minds to certain world views. sorry i realise that was a lot of writing but i hope it helps lol

@@sassyjenkins5364 Gardner used it first in the 1940s with the beginning of Wicca, adopting this name rather than Grimoire, the older term for it. It's been used by neopagans ever since (some prefer, like me, to have two books, one Grimoire for spells, and a book of shadows which is more like a journal for your spiritual journey etc). I've personally never seen the show you mention, sorry about that, but a lot of witchy TV shows and movies obviously contain terms and definitions used in the actual craft! I hope that answers your question :)

I can understand that. Sometimes practice of any esoteric craft requires being secluded for many reasons. I can see West Texas being a great area for that. I visited the Big Bend area once as a kid - magical!

I was meditating with this playlist, i listened to the whole thing and completely isolated all senses, the only thing i focused on was the music, i couldnt hear, see, smell, taste, or feel anything in the real world for an hour... i could “see” a grassy plain with a forest lining along the sides, the wind was blowing and all i could see was the tall grass and i kept walking, and walking, and walking, endlessly looking for something... then suddenly, i fell. I dropped off a cliff and snapped back to reality with a chill up my spine and throughout my whole body... by far one of the most curious things that has ever happened to me

I love this so much because it's an hour long with great music. I use it when I write or do spells or stuff like that. 🥰

He who desires hits kinda different then everything I ever listened to. It's sooo hauntingly beautiful and somehow alsow sad. Desire and sadness. But such a beautiful song I will never over this one! And there is no text needed the instruments tell the story ❤

The music is beyond the wow factor. The lady on the screen and please I don't say this too many times but she is amazing. She has taken the wow factor to a point were its done. Perfection lives within her. I don't mean this from a sexual point of view. She is perfect.

This music is amazing. I want to make a movie with this. I can see it being in a movie about a highland girl in the 12th century finding out she's a witch and traveling around Scotland to learn about her powers and using them to save her clan from a coming war.

yeah thats true in fact most of the witches in norse and celtic lore for the most part wanted to be left alone but that never happen and when the witch hunts started it only made this much worse witches and human a like tbh i would be surprised if there still in hiding if there even enough around now that know the old ways of true magic but hey we live in age where people isn't real did anyone ever think magic is just another type of science sorry for the random rant lol

how could you do that? I would be immobilized and forced to just lay back and enjoy it. I couldn't muster the strength to fight against the restful nature of most of these songs.

The Christian tradition is rife with mystics and what could be described as the occult. People wrongfully think there's a conflict between these things. As usual, it's people who have taken a surface view of the world and want to identify as something without actually taking the time to learn about it. You're drawn to this not because it's something different, but because it makes things whole.

@@aldenheterodyne2833 Witchcraft is a practice, not a religion. u can be an athiestic witch and just work with the earth and no deities. I personally am pagan so I worship the gods of many pantheons. Also would just like to add, its kinda offensive to call our beliefs "fairytales" as it is very real to us

I interpret this as when we walk the dark paths it makes the light so much brighter.

I can picture in my head a girl dancing in the forest, sharp angles but still sweet movements while the wind is flowing, she's barefoot between fallen leaves, a brown thick bracelet, brown top and long brown skirt, beautiful brown hair... I wish I could get all of this out my head and portray it as beautiful as I see it.
