I used to work at an office based at FLL early 2000s and one of my favorite planes from those days was an Airborne straight-pipe DC8, just like the one at 23:50. One day they were doing some maintenance runs and I got to see it take off and land a couple of times, it was magnificent.

46:34 It's surreal to think that American had these beautiful 727s flying around. Only 20 years ago 😔

This is the best spotting ever, born too late to experience this but seeing all the DC-8's and other old airplanes makes me feel like im there in 2001. Im curious was this pre or post sep 11?

According to their website, for some years these planes were stationed there in order to operate flights to Cancun and Central America :-)
