I'm currently in my room listening to this with my cat on my bed and my door closed. His back legs have just stopped working (he's been pretty sick lately coz he's quite old) I haven't gone out to tell my mum yet coz I know that when I do we'll have to go put him down and I'm not ready to say goodbye Update: told my mum and she took him to the vet and they put him down. I miss him so much but I'm just happy that this was the last piece of music he ever listened to, I find this music very calming and it gives me a mix of emotions because it makes me think of him. May he rest in peace.. love u baba xx

Everything is all right in a way. Might not seem like it, might not seem like it, with all the problems in the world... But the majority of humans (vast majority, I'll fight you on that) want to create more than destroy. And they do! The more they create, the more problems they solve. New problems pop up, naturally - but they get solved too. I doubt - and I don't think I'd want that - humanity will ever reach a point of no problems. But most of us are good, and we can deal with them all. Which, well... what more do you want from life? A challenge to apply yourself to when you want, and the knowledge that the rest of humanity is capable of handling themselves if you want to sleep? That's why I'm studying to become a research scientist. Because applying yourself to challenges is fun, and I'm bringing about a world capable of showing humans in all their fullness and glory. The trends are in the right direction. Until de-aging tech, is that not contentment?

Finnaly.. i found music that actually calms me and does not have a beat behind it... where has music box music been all my life? it is amazing

Ah, if you are ever looking for more calming music, you could listen to lofi or classical music! Though lofi does have a best behind it, there are a good amount of songs where the beat is very calm and relaxing. I could link you to a few lofi or classical songs/mixes if you’d like :)

I have severe anxiety and depression, these videos themselves make me see the world in a child like eyes, where nothing was bad, Santa Claus is still real and the tooth fairy to. It makes me feel happy, for once. I have trouble sleeping to, I get severe anxiety attacks that makes the world leaving me behind. But with this music it helps me so much.

My dog passed away in November, I miss her so much I think I might implode into myself. This music helps me cry.

There was a moment when my head hurt a lot because my class was yelling and the teacher was taking this headache out on me, so I decided to go to the psychologist's room. I played these wonderful melodies, and... My head stopped hurting ❤️❤️❤️

I started screeching as soon as Ice Dance from Edward Scissorhands played bc I couldn't find the music box version and I was so happy ❤❤❤

Sooooo I may have gotten some inspiration from this and here is my story based off of it :) hope you enjoy! The girl ran through the forest trying to find where the beautiful music was coming from. The trees scraping against her hands as she peaked around them, the sun slowly going down in the distance made the forest look so inviting. She ran until the music got louder and louder long after the sun went down she came across the small box playing the music as well as a waterfall. The forest around her seemed cold and dark but the small clearing was bright and warm to her. She began humming along to the tune of the box dancing without a care in the world, a small smile appearing on her face, the waterfall flowing in the background. Lightning bugs began to fly out of the trees and beckoned by the fall of the water and began dancing with the girl. Although, they knew the girl would soon wake up and leave them once more but they knew she would be back soon. They danced till the sun rose and the music stoped playing and then the girl slowly faded into thin air waving goodbye to the friends she had made that night soon to face the harsh world again, but she knew she would return to the dream once more to play with her friends again.

I love the play on how it was just a dream, which is cliche in most stores, but you didn't make it so, and that makes this story a nice refresher. How the girl dreams as an escape from the world is touching, in a sympathetic way. Love your short story!❤️

Here’s a piece of advice for you lad... If you have friends then keep them close. Make memories with them that you’ll cherish. Cause if you do and you come back to this video years down the line then you’ll remember all of those good times. I made the mistake of not making any friends as a child and now it hurts to listen to this stuff...it reminds me of what could’ve been. Please...don’t make the same mistakes I made. Keep them close and if you don’t have any yet then don’t waste time now. Cause you’ll be 18 as well sooner than you think. Take this advice and be your best self there lad. I’m cheering you on!

Just wanted to say thankyou to whoever uploaded this to youtube its one of the only things that will put my one year old son to sleep haha

Listening to that mgs main theme while watching my 6 month-old boy sleep brought tears to my eyes as I suddenly start getting flashbacks of key moments in the game and realise it's been 20 years since I first played that masterpiece.

I come here when I'm having anxiety / depression episodes,, always finds a way to make it better

I found this video after a therapy session, and I don't think I've ever felt more at peace. Thank you, Lucas, for bringing me a sense of tranquility that will be cherished.

When I lessen to this it makes my spirit higher than it was. Just the way it makes me feel at peace and happy. It's like the world is slowing down as and all problems have been fixed. I'm so happy I found this video.

As someone who doesn't sleep well at night, I'd have to say this music has helped me slightly. And no hate to the music it's just that i barely sleep at all at night and i know i got to this late but i want to spread my positivity around KZread. I really love this video. Where has music box music been all my life? I've always been unable to sleep at night and i listened to this on i believe Saturday night and i slept soundly except for me tossing and turning. Over all, love the video. Keep it up Lucas.

I used to listen to the original video of this when I was a kid. It was the one thing that put me to sleep during a pretty rough time of my life. Recently I've been struggling pretty badly with sleep and stumbled back upon it and the others in the collection. Best sleep I've had in a long time.

When it's almost 4:00 am and you put this on and immediately think of your family members in heaven and start talking to them as if they were here, so you start to cry wishing they were still here so you could give them one last hug and promising them that if you make it to heaven and your gonna give them the biggest hugs!

I’ve listened to this one so many times and I only listen to this one when I’m on my swing it’s very calming

I am currently playing this with my wife and I hunched over our 17 month old daughter (one of our twin girls) because she couldn’t get to sleep any other way…We are in France visiting family and she was just so excited to see them all that she didn’t want the day to end. Now, that’s a great day ❤

Listening to this while looking at my old photos. Remembering my grandparents and my auntie who took care of me... I miss them so much...

I broke my toe yesterday (it’s 3:00 in the morning of the next day) and I have crutches I will not be going into detail but this made me fall asleep ^.^ Edit:it’s now 6:42 Am 8-24-21 and I can wear normal shoes on the broken toe foot for the people that want a update Edit2:it’s now 8:20 PM 10-3-2021 and I’m all healed up! For anyone who wants a update! Edit 3: Ello people! It’s been a little while it’s now 12-26-2021! Thanks for any/all support I’m doing better and completely forgot this comment existed!
