Let alpha and beta are the real roots of quadratic Equation with real coefficient x²+ax+b=0 and satisfies |alpha + a|+|beta + a| less than equal to 1 then find the maximum and minimum value of (a²+2b)

Q5. Answer is option(B) By putting a=1, b=2, c=3, lemda=1 Given in question is an Identity in terms of a,b,c, lemda so LHS=RHS for any of their values

option B I took λ=1 and solved using properties of det and i got the answer easily.

We need some more tricks like this. Thanks ma'am.

B is the right answer... for easy method u can take a=1, b=-1, c=0
