There are many key take aways in this episode of Bhagavatam, very first from Bharat Muni at the time of death, if we have attachment to anything, we will attain in our next life. Second one, where Jad Bharat was offered to Maa Durga as sacrifice by dacoity. Maa Durga didn't accept it and she killed all the people who were committing wrong doings. Third point, where Jad Bharat says to Raja Rahugan, whom will you punish, I'm not this body(I'm the soul). At end, final point he says to do Guru seva to attain God. Swamiji beautifully explained the story of Jadd Bharata and the need for a Guru who can help his disciple cross the ocean of the cycle of birth and death. Grace of Guru is how God is attained as the Lord also states in the BG that his representative can hell us purify and Grace us.
