I’m crying Casper is the goodest boy and no one can convince me otherwise he sacrificed himself for the wellbeing of his flock of sheep he was dedicated to defending his sheep and didn’t give up 😭 He’s the best doggo ever

I can’t believe you didn’t include just HOW badass this pupper is. Because not only was he surrounded, his pregnant mate was with him. He chased the coyotes off the property and followed them, but it didn’t end there. He had actually hunted down and killed several coyotes, only returning when they were all dead.

You forgot to add that the neighbors found dead coyotes on their properties, because after Casper took out the 8, he spent the next few days, hunting down the 3 that got away!!! ❣️👍❣️🙏

He didn’t just fight a pack of coyotes to protect his flock of sheep but he HUNTED that pack of coyotes.

The part that stands out the most is how cuddly he is with his owner during the interview. This dog is the 2024 uncontested goodest boy❤😂

Still, wolves hold the highest respect in nearly all scenarios, unless they threaten their family… He preempted an attack and probably knew that they were responsible for other deaths near by… they made themselves a high threat priority… either by size of the pack assembled or because he understood all this… my bet is he was taking out a true threat and he was certain of their guilt… a response of passion and self sacrifice… he knew well the odds he was heading into… he must of had enough of a reason more than his own self to commit to this… otherwise being alone he would stay where he was needed most. And wait … he knew they were up to no good.

The coyotes started messing with Caspers Pregnant Girlfriend first. He then took over, and killed 8 to protect his girl and his flocking then went "missing" cuz he was tracking the last 3. He didn't come home until he had killed them all.

Casper is an amazing testament to the bravery and loyalty of dogs. Other breeds would likely not have survived, as LGD are made to fend off threats like this (like how their coats are thick and loose so the coyotes only got mouthfuls of fur and flesh instead of vital areas)

He guard he protect. He has paw prints on the hearts of many. He's the best boy. Not only did he protect his flock his mate was pregnant, he chased them off and hunted them down. He now lives a retired life in the house.

What they didnt mention in the short was Casper was also protecting his fellow Livestock Guardian and mate who was heavily pregnant. He has a whole mess of pups to raise now, and hes a retired indoor dog.

This is the reason spiked collars exist, to protect the dog from attacks to their neck, anyways ignoring the incompetence of the farmer, what a good boy

For anyone wondering, Casper’s breed is very common herders and are known as very protective. They are often raised alongside their flock, leading to a sense of camaraderie. Also Casper deserves a 8/10 one for each confirmed coyote kill

Dude Casper is a beast he needs a special day to him self he killed 8 coyotes with no help no backup and no reinforcements he is a one man army

Casper saving hes friends is so sweet. Putting bowls of dog food outside to distract the coyotes might help in the future. If they get their food else where, they wont want the sheep as much. Cat food for foxes and dog food for coyotes, mountain lions and wolves. Hope this helps someone:)

Feeding wild animals is the OPPOSITE of a good idea. It will attract them to the area and make them less afraid of humans and can become more agressive with the expectation of being fed.

Give that dog 100% respect more than hundred 1000 respect

Casper is,for all of us that have Livestock Guardian Dogs,a hero,but what Casper did is what the LGD's do every day all day long-& all night long.Casper & the female,Daisy,needed at least one more LGD for back-up.Thankfully Casper was able to survive,albeit minus his tail now.I've had one of mine to stand down a 600-800 lb.black bear.These dogs are very serious about their jobs as proven by Casper.So God bless Casper & Daisy & all the LGD's that do a very tough job all over the world,24/7😮

I read the story, he had 3. When Casper gone to fight coyotes, 1 stayed with the flock, and 1 female dog were pregnant with Casper's pups. They say, Casper's partner's pregnancy was one of the reason on Casper's reaction to the Coyotes
