US here and I have been to many nations decades ago, and I have a few friends everywhere, and a pretty bad sweet tooth. The best candy I have ever had is Schwedenbomben from Niemetz in Austria and I am not sure why, most of other candies around the world that uses some of the same candy types are bland. But this thing is like a cookie wafer that is legit when fresh, a super light nougat centor, robed in chocolate, with coconut on top. The taste is somehow better than the sum of the parts though to me. Not sure why. The texture, taste, and older world type richness that is probably the absolute worst thing for your body. It makes them super additive. I don't even like shredded coconut.

In Poland, the most populous candy is Wawel's Mieszanka Krakowska. It is a double-wrapped (like saltwater taffies, however, it's opening isn't by unwrapping the foil, but by especially marked place) chocolate-topped jelly candy. It has four flavours: lemon, orange, raspberry and pineapple. It is crunchy outside (thanks to topped chocolate) and chewy and jellowy inside (thanks to specially made jellies in factory.

in greece the most iconic one i can think of are ''kokorakia'' or little roosters. it's basically a red colored, hard candy molded into the shape of a rooster on a wooden stick. they're about the size of the palm of your hand and just taste like sugar. usually sold by street vendors or at fairs. I dont think it's something exclusively greek, since many places in the balcans could have similar stuff
