Your original Frances videos inspired me during the Pandemic. Now watching your new ones after I just completed my own Camino Frances a week ago… so many emotions!🙏🙏

Efren, ….. watch all your videos early in the year in 2022, then I went for the Camino walk from SJPP in May June 2022, I`m 72 and walked the whole Camino ( CF ) 34 days of walking , plus took 6 extra days for rest , ( the last two at Sahagun and Sarria were not necessary ) thank you Efren, your videos were so inspiring . Also been to your birth place Santa Clara 3 times. Cayo Santa Maria .. lol.. good work, beautiful drone shots,.. I enjoyed every step on my Camino.. good to see you again on youtube. But compared to your previous work, the videos you took on the same route in 2021 are so much better, so improved. They pull me right into your walk and make me feel that I am making the journey with you rather than just watching you. 👀

Amazing Video with spectacular Drone Shoots. Even better than on your first Camino Frances in 2017. The Best shootage i have seen so far from the 1st etappe of the camino Frances crossing the Pyrenaes. Keep on Walking!

You took 2 hours off your time going over the mountains !, that's impressive, those trail legs must be pumping . Great video, brings back so many memories of going over, I did it twice and would love to do it again, but I'm sure I'll be adding two hours onto my time not taking it off . Buen Camino Efren

I enjoyed watching you bust open the red vino as you passed into Spain! Your drone video footage and accompanying music were magical. I can't wait to walk the Frances from SJPP in September. That said, we're a bit older and a lot less fitter so we'll be staying overnight at Auberge Borda, a km or so on from Orisson. This series has been pure joy to watch. You should have way more subscribers!

I cannot wait to do this! Aiming for May 2023. Had a shoulder operation that is healing. May have to tranport my luggage the first 2 days.

Awesome. Coming up on 5 years after my camino and though the entire journey is very important to me this first week always feels so magical when I think back. I had no idea what was going on or what I was doing. The landscapes were beautiful and friendships were being built. Amazing footage and vlog as always!

Magnificent video, editing, music, drone shots. This is truly the most exquisite stage of the Frances. I started from SJPDP on Sept 7, 2021. I had a clear sunrise going over the Pyrenees. It is an experience forever burned into my memory banks. This was my second CF and fourth camino, but it makes me want to cross the Pyrenees all over again. Simply magical. Thank you for your vlogging excellence. I so appreciated every moment of this video. Happy travels to you.

imo you should give other caminos a chance. there is so much to see to get stuck on the same path.

Amazing drone shots and video views. What a landscape it is. Really wonderful video and in tune with the music. Good to see you so happy entering Spain and to be able to speak your native language.

I started my first Camino on the 27th of May 2017 just behind you and I have been missing you ever since , and yet again I will be following your footsteps in 2024 from Le Puy. Efren you have the power of inspiration sadly not too many people have it today. I hear that you are thinking of doing the via del la Plata which has haunted me for some time, covid changed my plans and I went to the Primitivo, Norte and Maxi instead, Buen Camino for 2024 amigo 🙏

Efren, this was terrific. It's so intriguing and wonderful to see the stage over the Pyrenees to Roncesvalles! Loved all the footage in this one so much!

¡Bellísimo! Gracias por el viaje pequeña. Wonderful footage. I did the Camino Frances in 2019 with my children then 16 and 12. Your video made my heart sing with beautiful memories. And I laughed at the end when you revealed how much time you shaved off this trip. My son, 16, did day 1 in under 5 hours and was beginning to wonder if we’d ever arrive. My daughter and I staggered in over 2 hours later. You know the drill, about 1 week later I found my trail legs and while still slow, I was unstoppable. My daughter always kindly stuck with me while my son sprinted off in the morning making his own way. Buen Camino.

What a great film. My first camino was back in September 2023 and I'm watching this series for ideas about a Le Puy to Santiago camino next year. But first the memories are flooding back of my first day on my first camino. When you went from "Bon Chemin" to "Buen Camino", so emotional. Thanks for the films.

Congratulations on the completion of Le Puy-en-Velay to the Pyrenees, it has been a wonderful series. Day 1 leaving was great start, but I think SJPDP to Roncesvalles was a great ending and brought back a lot good memories, gracias amigo fantastico Simply the best!

Really enjoyed seeing the evolution of Efrén from 1st CF to now. Photography and tools are next level. I do miss some of the commentary about the towns/regions but I can always watch the origin series for that. Keep on walking!!

Just finished the Camino Portuguese Coastal from Porto to Santiago de Compostela. Your videos helped me a lot in planning my wonderfully successful trip. 10 year anniversary for me. Hoping to repeat this in Fall.

Amazing. And I miss SJPP. One correction: The red and white markup is used not only for the GR 65 but, for all walks of long duration (normally one week+) , i.e., GR followed by the number of that especific one. (Do you remember GR 145? ) Although it stands for Grand Randonnée, a french expression, it is used all over Europe. You must have seen it in Portugal too. And if you happen to see PR, it´s the sort walks. (Petit Randonnée). b.t.w., aren´t you doing the GR 20 down in Corsega ?

Yes but here it is srill the gr 65 as it was labeled all the way to Roncesvalles. There are a few other GRs I plan to tackle over the coming years.

That Pilgrim’s Mass must have been something special.

I just finished on 8/31/2023 and I used private accommodations or hotels, for 35 of my 40 days. I began walking on my 67 birthday 🥳. I carried my backpack for the final 100 km, but used the transport service (off and on) for the first 690 km.

What an amazing motivational shot in the arm if like me you are planning your first Camino. Love the drone footage for day 1 this time too. Less than 90 days to go and it's dragging.

Always enjoy your vids. Similar to you I will be walking the Frances for the second time this April but only from SJPD to Burgos. Will you be doing a vid each day until you get to Logrono?

Thank you so much Brian. I vlog up to Puente la Reina but unfortunately it rained every day after. You still have my original 2017 vlog series and the map breakdowns. Buen camino.

First off, this is the best footage I've ever seen anywhere of Day 1 of the Camino Frances. You even outdid yourself! 😄 I wish the weather had let you go right for the descent, but that's the Camino, right? You never know what it will give you. I went right for the descent when I did my Camino Frances, but just because I was scared of that steep downhill decline of the left. Also, it was cool to be walking a Camino at the same time you were, even on different routes, and I never would have been on the Senda Litoral if it weren't for you walking it first. Muchas gracias, amigo. Quick question: How does crossing the Pyrenees on the Frances compare to the Hospitales Route of the Primitivo?

thank you so much Susan. crossing the Pyrenees is for the most part on paved roads. you also have three water sources and a couple of places to get a bite to eat. as for the elevation. you climb higher than on the Primitivo but it's a constant gradual climb vs the up and down over rough terrain of the hospitales route.

The last vlog on the primitivo is vlog 11 when I reached Melide. From there you can follow me on my camino Frances 2.0 or the original series. If you visit the primitivo playlist you will see it all laid out there.

Hi you said you ate at the Hotel correct not the Albuergue. They have a meal at the Albuergue as well correct or am I wrong. I am leaving 8/26 for my first Camino and will be in Roncesvalles on 8/30. Just wondering which is better food, lol. Thank you.

What a beautiful video! Never seen the video of Camino on 2021. Happy to see it! I have a question for drone shooting. Did you need some permission for filming by the drone in Spain? Cause someday I want to go there and taking some video with drone.

Si vas a comenzar en Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Por puedes viajar a pamplona y tomar un bus o un taxi o puedes volar a Biarritz y tomar el bus. Creo que de París puedes ir en tren. Utiliza la página rome2rio.com
