Ребята, добрый день. Смотрю, много добрых слов. Значит, неравнодушные. Это очень радует. Вот что хочу сказать. Когда смотришь про природу, лес, река, дождь, снег, палатки, дрова печки и птицы. Ты , наконец-то, настолько отчётливо понимаешь, что все эти геополитические интересы простому обычному человеку не нужны. НЕ Нужны и точка. Смертельно надоело разделять людей по национальностям. Душа одна, именно это и объединяет земной шарик. Паны дерутся, у холопов чубы трещат. Пошли они все куда подальше. Мы смотрим мальчишек, которые что-то мастерят на природе. Вот и прекрасно. Здесь и будем отдыхать душой от всех Рокфеллеров, магнатов, финансистов, золотого миллиарда и прочей бесполезной части человечества. Именно по той причине, что ничего человеческого там не осталось. Как у Скруджа Макдака одни доллары в глазах. Да, они имеют очень многое внешне, а на самом деле, если задать вопрос каждому из них? Ты счвстлив, ты так видел свою жизнь, это конечная цель и предел мечтаний?

Nordic countries traditionally always built the fire place in the center of the house. It could take up to 20% of the total space under the roof. Basically it was and is a big pile of stones or brick that would be kept warm throughout the winter, - 30 C out +20 inside. Also the chimneys have a damper in the Nordic countries, if not the structure of the fireplace will not stay warm for a long time after the fire dies out. Of course the use of a damper is an art you have to learn, because of the carbon monoxide, but when your chimney has a damper, it saves you a lot of wood and keeps your cabin warm long periods of time between the fire is lit.

I nearly lost a finger chopping wood like this guy. I was fifteen and living in Glasgow and my mum asked me to find wood for the fire so I went into the woods nearby and started chopping logs down. Well, I held onto the top of the stick at the short end and the axe hit my finger. . . . .should have gotten stitches but , it healed well and I have the scar that tells me that you use another piece of wood to hold that end!

I'm from Indonesia. Nice cabin, simple but complete facilities. There is a generator and solar panels, maybe if it's near a river a water generator could be built. The sauna is an inspiration for me, thank you.

perfect retiree move to thailand live, lot better weather, healty,food,peoples,and lot lot cheapen life, my cabin in thailand cost me 6000$ 2 bedroom,work room,big bathroom,big kitchen, not need be could and no snow, only idiot stay live country were have ice and snow winter.

Looks like a masonry heater. If it is, that's the best way to heat any home.

A nice sized solar farm with a battery bank for power with the generator as a back up and a well with a mauel pump and a large insulated tank could really make a difference on the cabin.

Oh, pan fry your potato skins & salt them for a snack. I flavor mine with cumin & garlic too. Your meal looks yummy. All you need is fresh bread. Love your bath house & sauna.

The square headed screws as they are Canadian in design, work much better then the Philips head as they are star in shape. The Robertson work much better as they don't typically jump out of the screw head and thus damage the head then to drive.

best stove in cabin what i has seen, many cbin have worst metal stove or worst build small stove in cabin, good stove store lot heat in wall bricks and keep room warm all night morning have warm good cabin. but some place has worst build not good has some brick.

Freeze inside and freeze outside. That stove doesn’t keep it warm

You're not the grid using batteries. Off the grid is using a screwdriver.
