21st really lit a fire in the 1/6th scene back in the day. I knew a bunch of guys that bought these as a base and really did amazing stuff with them. It made Hasbro take notice and in turn made them up their game. It was a win win for the collectors. Thanks for the nostalgic look back Pat 👍💯

Great collection, i myself want to do a diorama of the 65th infantry regiment the Borinqueniers, some if my older relatives were in Korea with the 65th , i volunteered a few years taking care of veterans during my younger years when i dated my ex wife, took care if vets from ww1 ,ww2 and Korea, we fed them took care of their bed soars, bathe them and change their diapers, it was an experience, most of my relatives served with the 65th infantry during ww2 and Korea, the stories i heard man , well once i figure out the insigneas and uniforms ill purchase some Cotswold head sculpts and bodies, and get to work, this is a very impressive collection you have , hope your doing better from your arm and everything is well with the family.

Awesome video Pat! I started doing the same thing, Band of Brothers show got me into doing the WW2 figures. So yeah started picking up 21st century airborne figures, never did get any Dragon of US figures. Now German, I did get a couple of the Dragon figures and a few of the 21st century figures. I also got the WW2 US jeep and a German schwimmwagen, but my boys wanted modern stuff so.... Dad's desire for history got pushed aside and the boy's got their newer stuff...lol So a question I would ask is did you ever think of doing a photo story using the WW2 figures? Maybe stories like the old movies like a Bridge too far, The Devils brigade, or The Dirty Dozen?? Again Awesome Video Pat!!

As I finish laughing at the "Dad's desire for history...?, Thanks for the comment and yes Jamison and I have actually planned several times to do a WW2 story but it just never came to light but certainly still on the "TO DO" board, so keep asking to remind us and it will probably happen!

Thank you for sharing. Always nice to see how others use their toys. I sympathize with you losing stuff to thieves. I wonder what they did with them? I've seen 21st Century, Dragon and Cotwold figures and equipment as part of military museum displays. I got my first GI Joe in December 1965 but lost everything in 1969 due to constant moving. I managed to obtain some Palitoy figures during the early 1980's. Most of my action figure collection is from the 1990's when Cotswold, 21st Century and Dragon were producing armies of 12" soldiers.

I would love to track down more Action Man but it is tough to find. The thief was actually my nephew who stole a vast collection that I had built up to open a toy store. He, stole it to sell/trade for drugs, the collection was 12" figures (GI Joe, 21st, Cotswold, etc. oh complete Monty Python Holy Grail 1/6 set) as well as complete runs of first issue runs of Marvel Legends, Marvel famous covers almost complete set (9 inch figs), star wars, turtles, etc. etc. about 10-15,000 dollars worth...sad days my friend. I would love to see some of your collection, drop us some pics, email above!

Picked up that set of Jerry cans, extra Pieces, etc on e-bay that was floating there for about six months; good deal. So should be set on customs for a couple more years…🤣 Excited to see any more creations of yours, vehicle-wise. I love the boats, being close to a river and Great Lake, kinda goes with the territory. You collect or have any of the 1980’s ARAH? I was just stoked as a kid to see Joe come back, plus in the Star Wars figure size so the ships could be used, AND they were fully poseable like the Micronauts/Vintage Joes!?! PFF! Over here in Ireland we had Action man, (G.I joe) .The German uniforms were always my favourite . If you bought the figure with the Wehrmacht uniform the figure had blond hair and a scar on the cheek, real bad guy.
