    one thing i've realized the more i delve into metal is that metal tends to get this bad rap for being "satanic" and other BS. A lot of it, if you listen to the lyrics and pay attention (like you do) a lot of metal music has a lot more deeper meanings than what people think it does.

  • @12Prophet

    @12Prophet

    Жыл бұрын

    As an avid listener to a lot of various branches of metal... There are definitely bands centered around Satanism. And even so, the music is still good. Dimmu Borgir and Behemoth are two major examples. A lot of the Satanic theme is either in reverence to Lucifer or pointing a finger at christianity and calling out the hypocrisy and the very very VERY long list of horrendous things done by christians to others and fellow christians. Listening to the lyrics and understanding the motivations behind them, it's not hard to see where the passion comes from. Any religion that calls itself peaceful is a lie. Every single one of them has butchered people for refusing to bow. Hell christians used to kill people over trivial things. Like suspecting the pretty girl of the village as being a witch because husbands had wandering eyes. Or saying that the papacy was corrupt and not actually God's spokesperson... To paraphrase a quote from a well known Satanist "Satan could have bought his way into the Church with enough money.". Most Satanic centered bands are outright vicious rejections to the tyranny that was christianity.

    This song is even darker than you would think. From what I have read, the song is a reference to SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome). originally, instead of "We're off to never-Neverland" it said "perfect family never the same again". So, it's literally a song about being afraid your child will die in their sleep.

    I was fortunate enough to see them on this tour in 1991 in Los Angeles. It was the best concert I've ever been to. Total energy, one song right after another. One of my best concert memories. Good times!

    Man. Please react to Metallica's "One" or "Fade To Black". They're absolutely great songs (they rarely have bad songs). Or if you'd like to see Another of the Big Four, go look at Megadeth's "In My Darkest Hour", "Peace Sells... But Who's Buying?", "Symphony Of Destruction", or even something from their new album that just came out: "Dogs Of Chernobyl", "Soldier On!", or "The Sick, The Dying... And The Dead!".

    Amazing job. great insight and breakdown of lyricism despite a flavor you're less familiar with. It's so fun to watch you experience a new lane of music. So many amazing mettalica tracks to pick from that are amazing. But with your breakdowns and historical and religious knowledge I would love to see you do creeping death as one of thier all time most played live songs it means a lot to the band. I would be an awesome ride with you. Thanks for all your work and your original music too. Appreciate and listen to all of it

    Creeping death, one, battery, seek and destroy, the four Horsemen, the unforgiven, and maybe and Justice for all someday. Although it will probably take him a while to get up to that point, however, I love the fact that he puts as much energy into this type of music as he does hip-hop.

    Glad you are keeping the rock and metal reactions going, you eyes will open to a world you will adore. If you want to check out some other Metallica mega-classics, you should react to One, For Whom The Bell Tolls, and Sanitarium. If you want to be 100% convinced that Metallica still has those metal chops check out Spit Out The Bone or Moth Into The Flame from their more recent album. And if you want a TOTAL left turn as far as what you might expect from them check out Nothing Else Matters or Until It Sleeps. As a lyricist I'm not sure how you feel about instrumentals, but you will hear few better than The Call of Ktulu and especially the amazing Orion. You got so much Metallica exploring to do, its exciting for me to take the journey with you!

    What's up Knox? Been a fan and subscriber for long time now. At this particular show it was estimated that there were 1.6 million people. As far as the Sandman goes, the very first version of him created hundreds of years ago is not the Sandman we know today. Originally, he was an Evil being that would take the eyes of unsleeping children for disobeying their parents and not going to sleep like they were told. I know, morbid right. Anyway, love your channel and love your breakdowns. You seem to have better insight than most other reactors. Keep up the good work my friend! 👍🏻

    I saw Metallica in a small 200 to 300 people venue during the summer and it was the best concert I have ever been too. I was coming back from a bathroom break and entered from one of the stage sides and looking out at the audience was glorious. Everyone was sweating and bare armed, lights were flashing the sun was setting and they looked like a shining, golden sea in a lightning storm. Metallica was thundering from the stage and I was shook down to my toes. ❤❤❤❤

The writer of the music is called the “Mozart of metal” the lead singer has literally been requested to sing the phone book and killed it! The general one people start with is “ghost love score” lots of different sounds or “Romanticide” much heavier.

That was definitely them in their prime. Or a live concert like this but after And Justice For All came out. Cause they have always been known to give songs from Multiple time periods he'll James will sometimes do Frantic and it's off worst album. Lol but Rob bass is makes it rock with drums and guitar as icing on Hard rockin song just not as complex fair basic structure but it does rock!
