1.5 meters long end grain board vs. thickness planer

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In my last video, i messed up my table top center piece. I made some mistakes, bad wood and bended board after glue. I got an crazy idea, and in this video, i try to save this board. If this will work, it's going to look great.
What will happen, when i will get 1.5meters long soft wood end grain board through thickness planer... Is it going to crack or explode?

Excellent video. Great preparation and thinking it all through. I think you're braver man than I, or you have a better planer. :)

Really impressive, I made a smaller board similarly from some re-sawn ash firewood. As a result it is full of splits and cracks! Was this one made from pine? I wouldn’t have thought you could use softwoods for a cutting board, will be interesting to see how it wears in! Great video😊

When i bought this wood, label said, that it's Teak. But i'm not sure anymore. Color was right, but when i took it through my thickness planer, this nice teak color was gone. I think it's something else, something very that basic, like Pine. I don't know different woods at all 😁. And btw this is not going to be a cutting board, it's going to be a part of a table, which i'm working on right now.
