Great mix of luxurious interior and utilitarian exterior. The Dutch certainly know how built motor vessels.

The first sight I laid on it I aleady knew it's a dutch-built, which is both functional and elegant. I hope you get us see the Bestevaer 63 in the future.

Love the traditional design; the modern stuff is quite challenging to look at.

Another great episode. This is a great boat. Aluminium, low maintenance and very capable. Love the fact that you can ground it during low tide. A very practical yacht

wow.. am I the only one that watching this keep thinking at how cool would be the Great Loop aboard this boat? and then, once you are done with the loop, living aboard it? I think I am in love..

That was my first thought watching this vid too.

Why in the name of all that is good & holy did they mount controls for bow & stern thrusters side by side instead of in tandem like any logical person would?

I would love to see a 5/9 knots electric propulsion system on a boat of this kind, but without losing the diesel engines or its range.

Bestevaer is pronounced as "Beste-Far" with a long AA sound, short for Beste Vader, Great Father or Great Leader, the loving nickname for Michiel De Ruyter, the 16th century Dutch Admiral who routed the English navy. You may also know the Dutch word Vader from Darth Vader...

Brilliant stuff ☘️☘️ what an awesome vessel of to the shop and get the lottery tickets for a purchase ☘️☘️☘️ from northern Ireland

Love the hull design and how the aluminium has been designed and constructed up to and including fi. the bollards. What I do not like is the ergonomics/positioning of the instrument panel in the wheelhouse (can be changed easily) and the many square corners of the interior which could be an issue in heavy weather.

This is a great boat for "The Great Loop" I would love running this through Chicago’s downtown waterway and not have bridge issues.

Would be ideal for me and my coastal waters. Bodding over to the Isle of Man for the weekend or further up the coast. However, my missus absolutely loathes rough weather. She won't entertain going on the family yacht these days.

Nicest powerboat I've ever seen. If it ain't Dutch, it ain't much...!

Properly set up this boat could very conceivably cross oceans. This boat is way more capable than a Coastal Cruiser.

The retractable davit/crane is brilliant. However, standing on the rail to launch it is not. I guess you don't have to stand there, but it is obviously the most favourable position to launch it from. Could be a moot point for some of the target buyers who maybe retirees. Overall a lovely sleek bit of kit though.

Would be just right for me

For a couple up to a family of 4, it's very capable and well set out. A tiny bit more room in the shower & toilet would be nice (I'm big, lol)

Sweet. Needs a holder for my Beer. The only thing that concerns me is air conditioning. It is essential for America and lots of Dutch boats don't have it. Does this one? Or is it an option? If yes then this is possibly the perfect Yacht for me. I've crewed in the Caribbean and run aground there more times than I care to think about but with a draft of 3 feet I'd be totally safe.....be great on American inland water. Perfect great loop boat with side trips on all the waterways and right under 80% of the bridges where everyone else in a +50 footer has to sit there till they raise or rotate the bridge to allow them passage. I always wanted to ride "The Big Chute Marine Railway" on the Trent Severn waterway and this would a perfect boat to do it in. Downtown Chicago (hey it's safer than Somalia), Memphis and New Orleans all have a rich distinct flavor deep and plenty of Pubs and after a hard evening of sampling the local delights we return to that master cabin to enjoy the remainder of the day. Then the Panama Canal and all the way up the left coast to Alaska. They say bad things about San Francisco but I was there for 2 weeks last month and it seemed fine to me. SF Bay is great on a boat. This one is perfect...if it can have air conditioning. I see the stabilizers and I trust Yanmars. I see I blew the whole brevity thing but I really do love this one.

Because it would have meant launching the tender onto the pontoon, plus, I was a bit short of time

17 Kts on just 220 HP is miraculous. The boat must be very light.

There should be suntanning beds on the bow. The stern should at least have railings so no one drowns. It would also be nice to fish back there. There should be somewhat of a tuna tower or upper controls. I see that the downstairs controls have no open windows and that really sucks.

No, there shouldn’t. Boat is designed more for the cold(er) places than the tropics.

Funny how names can be pronounced so differently between related languages using same spelling even changing meanings. Take the famous superyacht builder Oceanco. The localsand Dutchwill say: Oce-Anco. Not that silly when looking at that capitol A in the logo. Now the Anglo Saxon say Ocean-Co and to be honest they aim at the worldwide market so yes that is the proper way to say it. On this name Bestevaer, no it is NOT best -ever. The name in Dutch means bestevaer: good to sail for or upon. In fact it was the nickname of Admiral Michiel de Ruyter given by his crews because he took care of his men; bestevaer meant best to sial with him. The builders imply this yacht will take good care of you. Ok end of history/trivia lesson of today now back to happy sailing all :)

This would make a nice river or canal boat. I wouldn't take it offshore with a 0,85m draft. My only critique is that the showers look incredibly small. I would opt for one large shower rather than cramming two into a boat this size. The interior seems tight below decks, but overall the construction looks superb. Thanks for the excellent video on what looks like very capable coastal cruiser or river boat.

It's a category A boat, so it's rated to cross the Atlantic if you choose to do so.

​@@dereksmith6126 Class A on paper means nothing in real operating conditions. As a manufacturer, let them clearly state such a claim, if any, or let them prove the first ocean crossing themselves! It's a Power boat...yacht have sails. What's it's fuel consumption + it's Co2 emissions?

just change your frame rate when recording , and it will fix that

I assume it has excellent heating but how about air conditioning? It gets hot and humid on east coast USA in the summer.

Calling the coach roof a boat deck is stretching it a bit , the sticky out steps and the garmin antenna would soon get tiresome ,, and a positive rake on the windows would really give it a serious look ,,, but overall its a fine boat.

Cld make that new for 100k, whats you game here ?

Great boat, and since this is a premier Builder, it IS dumb not to mount bow and stern thrusters in their customary fore and aft configuration. The last thing you need to have happen is confusion helming your new boat in tight quarters.

is it worth the € 1.5 M I ask the question anyway! in the end yes there is the aluminum thing ok the fact that it is in category A ok but after what do we pay for the design and that it is clean overall the welds are raw the design is quite simple the yanmar engines are quite weak is it really worth it I really like this ship I ask myself a simple question that's all.

Pretty much no boat is "worth it" anymore, for anyone who has to care. More relevantly: Boats are now so complex, that I venture the vast majority of those who do have $1.5mill to spend on one, would be better off with a very cleanly designed and built one like this; than a larger one which is built less immediately obviously. I'm not in a position to categorically state "aluminium" over steal or composites or wood; but one advantage of welded metal boats; is that they have to be built in a more orderly manner than molded and glued and stapled and.... composites. It's easier to slip up unnoticed with composite construction. And less straight forward to survey. Doesn't mean composite construction has to be done badly (many aren't). But unless you're some seafaring Mormon with 4 wives and 12 kids, who has $1.5mill to spend; I'd rather take the more naively inspectable construction of a high quality metal weldup, than a fancier, curvier, less immediately obviously built composite boat; even if that means "settling" for nominally "less" boat for the money.

This is a great boat for $120,000 usd I wouldn’t pay a dime more for it.

Here you could be right, the model shown in the video has two engines of 250 hp. The standard option is 2x 110 hp.

I like it, but I think it needs a paint job.

i do not understand this layout. Half the people sitting in the saloon have their back to the television. Very poor interior arrangement. The practicality is nice and the aluminum build is ideal.

Hull forms amendable to high speed running, don't anchor, nor drive slowly, in a comfortable manner. You also need to run around making sure nothing, and noone, is loose, before letting her rip in anything rougher than a lap pool. Which is too much of a pain, in a boat with this much accommodation (but not enough accommodation to have permanent crew handling all those pesky details, like a Pershing of Mangusta....) It's all about priorities. This one prioritizes comfort for living aboard, over speed.
