This video was pure gold for me. I love to watch models being built. I love the Yamato. And on top of that, the ASMR quality was top notch.
great...great work...and most of all- the only correct rigging of yamato I've seen...I suppose you used as a reference rigging of yamato in the yamato museum in kure and that's smart thing to do as I consider it the most realistic and detailed representation of the real thing :)) once again- great work!!!!

The wooden bridge is self-adhesive but you add glue to ensure the bond. What glue do you use? Good work !!!
been kit making for years, just got the new 1/200 version. this is the first time i have left a comment, just to say your presentation of the build is the best i have ever seen

自分もこの動画を観て、タナカホビーさんと同じキットとエッチングパーツを集めました。艦底のアルミテープによる鉄鋼表現ってどういう風にやったのですか？？
You did a stunning job, congratulations👍🏻💯! About the kit, I built the old one that was really nice, and quite simple to build, the only small issue was the hull plates missing, I made them with masking tape and multiple layers of primer, it looked quite good after removing the tape. I don't like that Tamiya split the hull like that and I think that they over-complicated the kit for no good reason, like the turrets for example. I used a P.E. set from Eduard (discontinued) and another set from Daiyee (because the funnel detail was missing from Eduard set) and railing from Flyhawk. Some people will complain about the rust, they forget that even if it saw little combat, the Yamato was launched in 1940 and spent almost 5 years in the water, so rust is okay. Hi Yves, long time no see, how are you? Recently I have been thinking about building 1/350 scale and this is the first time I have built a 1/350 Yamato. It was fun to discover many things when I made it. After enjoying 1/350 scale for a while, I am thinking of making a 1/200 scale Yamato and Iowa next.

@@tanakahobby Hi Tashan, I'm doing fine, thank you and I hope you are doing well too. The thing that I love about big scale ships is that it's multiple kits in one ( superstructure, funnel, turrets, ...) and I don't need to have the full ship always on my working table, the downside, to me, is that, well, it's big and to be realistic, I can't fill-up my house with models if I want peace with my wife😊. I was really tempted to get the battleship Hiryu Fujimi 1/350 (not the carrier) that I would love to build but I have so many kits on my stash, I have to sell some (a lot, actually) and focus on my real favorite builds. I really enjoy 1/700 and its challenges. I'm building the Yamato 1/700 Tamiya with a Flyhawk "gold medal" set, it's 8 (I believe) sheets of tiny Photo etched parts, canons to replace, and a multitude of things that I'm not even sure will make a real difference at the end, I guess "it's not about the destination, it's about the journey". I always watch your videos and enjoy your dexterity and beautiful work. Have a great week-end, Best regards, Yves.
