Extremely nice job of conversion! Great build techniques overall, particularly the engine details and the finish. I'm going to build the Black Knight 1/24 Albatros DV vacufrom kit this year and many of the same details are in the two marks, like Mercedes engine, Spandau guns, wood finish etc. Your video will be of invaluable help to me; thanks for posting it!

It's incomprehensible to me that you build with such detail and can do all the video with such equally profound detail in presentation.

What tamiya colour did you use for the base coat - you cannot see the jar in your video- also what colour of oils did you use to get the yellow colour over the tan base coat?

How did you do the plywood panel lines on the Fuselage?

Another great video. Could you do a tutorial on how to do the rigging of the fuselage and tail? I've seen many on the general process and how to do the wings, but have yet to see any on what I've suggested.

Beautiful is a simple word to describe this model. Would you supply a parts list for everything that you have added to this kit? or would you make a 2nd one to sell to those interested in your work? Thanks, Brad

Also i added Taurus Models' all resin parts for 160HP version (Blocks, trims, valves, spark plugs etc) For converting D.I to D.II i modified the struts kzread.info/dash/bejne/l6WipsqPf9C5dag.html I will start to build MvR's Albatros D.V soon also i will upload build logs on my channel, stay tuned!

What you do with these models is like what Beethoven did with music. Very admirable skill-set.

Fantastic,I assume that was the kite issued to MvR when he first flew as a pilot then?BTW, what happened to the undercarriage tyres, are they supposed to be that colour, does it represent a synthetic rubber?Brilliant work and the patience you must have for all of that rigging!!!!!!It's what puts me off biplanes,I'm just a coward I suppose!

+ANTON RUDENHAM Thank you Anton! He used a few D.II, this is one of them but not first. For tires history please check this link for more information www.todayifoundout.com/index.php/2011/07/making-tires-black-instead-of-the-natural-white-color-of-rubber-produces-a-much-stronger-and-longer-lasting-tire/ About rigging; i will share how to video soon, please stay tuned!

Hmm,interesting,so the tyres on the DII were left a natural colour with out the carbon additive,I suppose for wartime expediency, thanks for the link and looking forward to the dreaded rigging video,I'll watch it while peeking through my fingers!

Take a look at contemporary photographs, alot of aircraft had dark grey rubber tyres almost as you see today- they were not all white or light gray!!
