1,208 Days Of First Gen Tundra Ownership - 2005 Tundra Limited Double Cab

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

1,208 days I owned my 2005 Toyota Tundra limited for. I waited 6 months to make this video to reflect on my decision and if I regretted it or not. Don't worry, there will be more Toyota content coming out real soon :)

Coming up on 20myears on my 04 Tundra. Gonna keep it. 28K new compared to 65K new today. F those new vehicle payments. Just gonna upgrade this one with a 10 inch stereo, new wheels, camper shell, TRD custom grille, retro fit led projectors headlights, bushwhacker fender flares. I think that’ll do it for me. Maybe a rear locker. Live in Az so ZERO rust.

What truck lasted a million miles? Toyota Tundra Victor Sheppard, the man who famously drove his Toyota Tundra for over a million miles, is on the verge of achieving the extraordinary milestone once again.

I followed you because of the tundra - I had a 2006 4x4 almost identical to yours except it was an SR5. Sold it because I left the States, but now am looking into a Lexus GS450h so I’d selfishly recommend you get one of those :)

I've had my 06 DoubleCab since a wrong way driver totaled my 80 series Landy on I5 about 2 years ago. I love it for the improved comfort, interior space, having a bed, and drive-ability on road but it'll never match the triple locked 80 on 35s off-road no matter what mods I do. Definitely a great truck though and I don't regret the purchase or the money I've spent throwing parts at it.

Looks nice and sharp especially for the age. Thanks for the inspiration to paint the grill. My 2nd gen tacoma has a chrome finish, amongt everything else black, so it definitely looks out of place. This tacoma has been super reliable, except for the rear drive shaft. The carrier joint snapped 600 miles from home. I replaced it with a one-piece aftermarket unit and it has felt much more solid. In regard to vehicle content, you're limited to whatever will make you happy and motivated to work on and share. From that subset, you could consider which might generate more social media following--i'm guessing anything too niche may not get very far. I think Honda 2000s have gotten a lot of popularity the last 5-7 years, as reflected in their 200-300% markup. If i were a betting man, i'd guess Miatas and Z3/Z4s might be next, since they've become more the value-line of options now relative to the S2000 from what I can tell.

Is that a Sony 9500ES? If so, do you have any issues with it? I'm about to pick up a 05 DC and I'm looking for a head unit and this one is a top choice, although the screen size worries me as I believe it would interfere with the vents. Any input is appreciated, great truck!!

My '04 Access Cab Tundra has anchors for child restraint seats behind the passenger seat. Very odd in my opinion that yours did not. I don't see me ever giving mine up unless it's ever in a wreck. 318K miles on my daily driver and still going strong.
