Folks, this video seems to be the default landing point for a lot of people who have just found the channel. I would encourage anyone new to the topic to please take the time to view some of the other videos in this and other conversion projects that I have done and also to consider visiting the openinverter forum for more information.

Now you just need to install electric power steering pump and an electric vacuum pump for your brake booster. Awesome to see that this works. I've got an E36 sitting here with a perfect M52 and no plans for it. Bet I can sell the motor and fund an electric conversion (minus the battery)

Hi Damien, thanks for sharing! Was it just the camera angle - it looked to me like perhaps less than an inch of the spline would be engaged with your coupler? Is it enough meat, would you not run a risk of shearing it under heavier load?

I am building my own project cart, that is pretty much a side by side but for riding and racing . I have educated myself I believe to no a lot but still can’t find the best fit for what I need (torque and different speed settings. I don’t no if you would have any clue but thought I’d try to ask for help but if not it’s okay. I don’t want to buy anything cheap and end up breaking , this will be expensive I’m sure which I no but I just want to figure what motor kit is best. Thank you either way

Awesome! Woohoo indeed. Great to see it actually being done, not just before and after :) Is it vital for the aluminium plate to be so thick, or what would a minimum be? Good tip on getting the knockoff plate. Would it be worth adding to the mount plate an extra flange at the top with a hole to hang it from while installing?

Curious, looking at diving in and considering a warp 9 in a vow big, no ac no power steering. Looking for a daily driver, just a commenter, but need to drive 90 miles (45 miles each direction). The question, can I use lithium, drive it nice and slow and work it out? Or do I need to spend the money for an AC motor and take advantage of lower energy usage in an AC environment. Target vehicle 66 bug.
