The reason there were huge depressions in the test holes is because of all the gold they took out. They didn't show us all the gold because it would start a stampede on thier chain and no miner ever wants that to happen on thier claim...

These episodes are fantastic Andy. Such great work, and content, with television or better quality production value on top of it. Freaking amazing man. Keep it up. You will have massive success soon.

That was a huge learning experience, finding old channel, and that kind of pay at only 2 to 4 feet down, hundreds of feet from the current river! It completely changes the perspective on where and what to look for! Great job Andy, especially the reclamation, it's like we were never there!

I had no idea that so much work was done restoring the site. You put in just as much work making sure it was like you were never there, as you did looking for pay dirt. I had assumed some effort was made to leave sites in good condition... but this.. I'm Beyond impressed with your dedication to the WHOLE process. .......... yea. but if you want to get to the gold.. ALL those trees will be GONE. All this is doing is sinking test pits. The real claim is cleared of all trees etc.

Thank you for reminding everyone about reclamation!!! It's so important and we didn't have much of an issue with it until tourists started moving here instead of vacation only. We ALL need to be responsible for keeping the beauty and FUNCTION. Nature has the creatures to care for after you left the area. That pit would be a literal trap for wildlife.

A friend of mine told me a few months ago he was hiking around here on Van Isle and came across what looked like a grave. He said it weirded him out a bit, after this video it makes more sense, probably a prospector that didn't fill his hole!
