Hey Flux fam! Some comments have raised concerns about whether Valentin is "legit" and is speaking the truth. I get it, seeing someone young having amazing success so fast is not something you see every day and so begs the question "is this really possible?" Valentin took time to review some of the issues & topics raised in the comments and addressed them all in this google doc with you can review here: docs.google.com/document/d/145C13NXO8qHb-Z4PYj0vGRJFAEmtKxFUOWs9ymqqS9A/edit On a personal note: 1. I have personally earned 6-figures with a crappy / no website myself, so don't judge a business by it's website. 2. Kabarza on the Flux team has also worked for Deutsche Bahn (huge german company) as a freelancer, so I know for a fact they are working with freelancers, which makes sense - Nike & Apple are also outsourcing, not every big company does everything inhouse. 🖤

Leaving this here for Valentin Abs, As an agency owner myself, I apologize for the others in the comment section. I hope this didn't get to you. For everyone else, I run a Design Agency myself. I do not have a website, I have a horrible brand/logo, and I have none of the other things you asked about. But I did land pretty massive clients and I am doing fairly well for myself. The last time I updated my website (rebuilt from scratch because it was irredeemable) was 4 hours before attending an important conference (And I had printed Business Cards only the day before) at which point I had been operating for about 2 years. The reason: I was too busy working for my clients that I did not have the time to work on my social presence nor did I feel the need to. Don't be quick to judge or speak harshly. Motivate the new kids lol

Yeah... Not convinced it's legit. Founded mid-2021, 100 clients and DB as client ? 0 portfolio. Hmm... This is a young bullsh*tter that loves design and wants to kickstart his career. Nice marketing plan, poor execution, terrible ethics. Says a lot about his way of working. I'd rather see content and collabs with Michael Filipiuk. That's a legit, hard-working and amazing young guy.

Agreed I also have a crappy site that I made with a starter template on wp and I do just fine in terms of sales, my site is only really used to convert traffic from google ads, 9 outta 10 prospects never ever ask for a portfolio although I always send it to them along with my google reviews. The dynamics are different for every country and every niche, in my case I mostly get clients via paid ads , once I have them on WhatsApp or their email address it’s easy to send them looms etc and close the deals, a fancy website isn’t necessary I think building out a proper system for client acquisition is more important

I just saw a lot of comments, saying he´s talking bullshit and "How can he make a miilion with no portfolio" and so on. Just checked his page and yeah i was thinking the same until i read - "over €1,900,000 are generated per month via online shops processed by us". Doesn´t that mean all his clients combined generate almost 2 million and not his company?

ive never seen such a trash talk. This company is located in germany. It is a "UG" wich you can register for 1€. They just founded it with 2000€, wich is not really much. It is really unlikely that with 1.000.000 revenue this company would still be a UG. Normally business switch to a "GmbH" This guy talks about so many business but never says what he really learned. The client on his website seems too big for me. "Deutsche Bahn" is the biggest train company in germany and they do most of there stuff inhouse. So ill write them an email and will ask them, if they are really customers of this guy. There is also no Portfolio on this site. And the company was founded on 26.08.2021 wich is not even a year. So why the f*** should such big companys as Deutsche Bahn should be customers of him? Ill get some more informations and keep you guys up to date. Also to mention: His website looks kinda good, but its horrible setted up.... Multiple h1 headings, bad keywords, too long meta etc etc... He is not even in googles first 3 sites when looking for agencys in his region Just by calculation... He says on his website, that he has more than 100 customers. He is in this business for Like 10 month. That means he has 10 customers each month. That means he has 3 days time to deliver a full Design conception with revisions etc. Come on... that little kid is a joke 😅 At 28:49 he says, that in THE FIRST HALF of 2021 they made 50k. The company wasnt even founded then 😅 You can see clearly in his face, that he is lying. He look up, is thinking about his revenue last year etc. Normal business people know there rev. without thinking about it. Edit: On his website are also sooo mandy typos. He cant even write one correct german sentence. Its so horrible to read.

Another interesting angle is the amount of people that are relying on their own agency website design to do the selling for them, no question yes a well designed site will help you, but if you have a shitty sales process then it doesn’t matter imo the guys with a crappy website but proper sales skills is going to out do you all day.

All the people saying "this is not legit". Guys your website is only a small portion of your success. He has a strong sales process, which is the most important thing. (I assume it's a 5 Step sales process: Lead > Discovery Call > strategy > offer > close

Valentin, maybe it would be better to request the removal of the video, just to make sure not to ruin your reputation. If someone makes a reaction/expose video your future career might be ruined. Try to be more honest next time.

The guy is young, probably a bit nervous talking to Ran and this interview was in his second language so maybe a bit of forgiveness on those things. I think he did great overall and it was interesting. To be honest, I'm not convinced on the figures he's making, I'm basing that on the time he's been in the industry, his experience and his current website design. It's a good level for a guy who's been working in design for as long as he has, but its a far stretch from a 50k+ client level. Maybe his client websites are awesome, I can't find any examples or portfolio so I could be wrong about that. In any case, good luck to him, whether the numbers are correct or not, he'll only continue to grow and get better.

Going to give honest critique. Your website was made on Squarespace in about 2 hours. Probably less. No portfolio. No FAQ that would satisfy a soul on this earth. Bad CRO: No social proof, testimonials, about us.. Who was it designed for? If you don't even show you understand the customer, how are you designing websites? Your thoughts are all over the place. I'd think if you can pitch to 50,000.00/month leads, that you can articulate better. Ultimately, you need to do a better job of proving that you are a business owner with sense.
