I would use 0w20. Same goes for 5w20 factory spec.. i use 5w30. As blowby increases I increase percentage of lucas oil stabalizer to reduce oil dilution. Understand these thinner oils are not for better protection. It's for some tiny percentage of fuel economy..

I would like to see you compare the amsoil OE oil, to the other oil. I tried the signature series oil ounce, but I don’t drive it much per year. I used the amsoil filter. Due to the lower mileage, I use your OE oil, with a wix filter. This is more economical for me, as I see using amsoil OE motor oil, the vehicle goes 6,000 miles with no oil burning. On this vehicle , when I would use conventional oil, it would burn a quart of oil every 3,000 miles.

Great products I use it in all my vehicles and motorcycles I got 37 MPG in my 2023 Silverado 3.0 diesel. I used the amsoil diesel oil and diesel fuel additive. Better protection, fuel mileage and you only have to change your oil once a year.

@@turbinexmanthat is absolutely true, but it does not mean that only Amsoil oils ensure there will be no engine rebuild or valve job done to your engine. $14-15 per quart is just too much for an oil. It is maybe worth for those who run their cars for too many miles and do quite rare oil changes. Also, it seems to me that changing other decent brands oils 3 times per 15k miles is better than changing Amsoil only once.

Hello Eban !!! Would You recommend a Heated Dipstick during the Winter Months? I also saw a Video of Yours on an engine "flush". My 1998 Pontiac has 84k on Her, and I was wondering if I should use this product? The only problem is, is that I use the USMC Quantico Auto Hobby Shop. Running the Engine for the recommended 15 Minutes might be a tight fit. I might be able to back Her out, and then put Her back in (Hopefully), but it does not look like you want that movement to happen. ADD ON QUESTION: Should You also change the transmission fluid, the first time you change the oil? Thank You for Your Help Do You have other any suggestions for an older Engine? Thank You Adain,

Those are some darn good questions I've never heard of a heated dipstick. What type of vehicle do you run it in?

Hi just curious if the Amsoil ATF would work in a 2022 Honda Ridgeline? I see a lot out there saying to use Honda fluids in their products. Also, any recommendations for transfer case and rear dif fluids for the same Vehicle? Thanks

0w16 and 0w8 oils are strictly suggest to satisfy cafe and EPA regulations .... Most engines can run 0w20 or even 5w30 with out issue . It's been proven because the same engine in other countries call for 5w30 or 10w30 . It all depends on climate .

Yeah the thinner oil definitely has less parasitic drag on the crankcase so it's definitely a fuel saver but at the end of the day it's a small difference only about a 10% difference in viscosity so it's just subtleties but definitely worth it over a long oil change will definitely save you a lot more money in fuel running the correct viscosity

Now if Amsoil could make there octane boost,upper cylinder lubricant and PI performance in one bottle.. I would buy by the cases.

I think it'll be a smaller difference in viscosity meaning the 10W-30 is maybe 15% thicker than the 020 and 0 W - 16 is only 10% thinner than 0 W - 20 so I'm thinking the 0w-8 will probably only be 8% thinner than 0 W - 16. That's just my guess. I think it's more about just making a small change so they can make different oil viscosities make different sales and show their at least trying to get better fuel consumption on new economy cars🤪

@tylergambon6492 yeah it's like we had something new but then again when you think about oil thickening with the industry standard it can thicken like a third or something within standards the crazy part is that 0w- 16 is only about 10% thicker than 0w-20. So really it's a very small difference but when you look at the course of a 15,000 mi City Driving interval with thinner oil it does save considerable gas because there's less parasitic drag on the crankcase. Show in the long run it is going to save money and fuel consumption and so far from what I found thicker oil doesn't mean less where I ran the zero w-20 on my Cadillac and it ran great

@@Syntheticoilprotection from what I've learned 5w 30 has better lubrication than 5w 20. The detergents in thinner oils offer better cleaning but how much of that is important compared to lubricating the components. When vehicles start getting higher miles I believe it's a better idea to start using a thicker oil to compensate for the wear put on an engine. I've done that numerous times and maybe have lost a mile or 2 per gallon if that.

@tylergambon6492 yeah I think the most important thing is just keeping it clean and that way there's a flush surface for the film to ride on then you can go super thin but if you have a jagged surface I believe you would be better off with a thicker lubricant given a new vehicle is brand new that comes with zero W - 16 all the components are flush with each other so it rides on that film thin film and it's fine but I think as soon as that surface isn't Square that's when you need a thicker film or if you're doing extremely high heat driving then you're thinning out the oil under load and then it thins out and you can lose oil pressure so it's very important to have a racing oil in that case which is definitely serious when it gets to making big Power with race fuel LOL

Hello. my car is 2023 camry hydid and try to change oil from TGMO 0w16 to amsoil 0w16 hybrid beacuse want to use synthetic oil(except VHVI base oil) this time. @Syntheticoilprotection the oil cap and owners manual says 0w20 but I've heard a few technicians say it's not enough viscosity to keep parts separated 🤔

@ivanhamlyn that's a great question yeah primarily what keeps the parts separated is the proper quality of oil and when do you run 100% synthetic the film strength is more complete you'll have less cylinder scuffing you'll also have less shearing where it breaks down the oil film strength the signature series would be more than enough 0w - 20 for your truck in normal driving if you were doing severe service like Towing where you're pulling Long Hills and your engine braking where your heat soaking the engine for minutes on end in 100° temperature you may want to look at a 10W-30 but unless you're doing anything severe like that I would stick with the 0w -20 if it was my personal vehicle. If you're running E85 and you're doing racing then you'd want to run a different oil most likely a 10W-30 Dominator racing oil the 10W-40 Dominator racing oil depending on the power output in the oil temperature as the oil temperature gets hotter it thins out the oil. So it's mainly comes down to the driving conditions

I'm glad it's good oil, but $10 a quart. That's $50 to change the oil in my car. And I don't see any five quart bottles. That is twice as much as mobil 1 0w16 in a 5qt bottle from walmart.

I dont know what Amzoil costs , but dont think I will use it . Because I will not deviate from my 6 mo or 6000mile will change interval on my 2022 Venza .

Was your vehicle free, and you didn't pay any money for it? Or is it an expensive asset that deserves the best protection? Serious question. :- ) My '21 Sienna hybrid has 175k and loves 10k oil changes with Signature Series. Multiple oil analysis show zero wear metals. Best wishes for you.

@heyerstandards that's awesome yeah I couldn't believe my eyes the first time I did the oil analysis on my Corvette it completely blew my mind I got scared because the oil got dark after 5,000 miles and all it was doing was cleaning the carbon out of the motor

@@brucek.hoffman5868 Yes, thanks. I did an oil change interval of 25k with 0w-20 SS and the test showed no wear metals. I often go 12-15k interval when the weather's cold or schedule varies. I get a little fuel dilution, so I don't want to push things too far. Cheers!

It's a very tough subject the numbers are hard to understand and the whole branding and labeling is very misleading a oil manufacturer can call a full synthetic full synthetic when it's 25% synthetic or more they can call a synthetic blend when it's 1% synthetic usually up to about 15% synthetic are most synthetic blends oils are made up of all different types of additives from dispersants detergents cold flow packages base stock and other anti-ware additives that are mixed in it's very tough to understand for most people but if you think of it like a juice from concentrate most of those are only a certain percentage juice and it's not even real juice it's the same thing with the motor oil so that synthetic lubricant could be anywhere between 25% synthetic or more and it can be labeled full synthetic. So are you still using Toyotas oil or did you switch to amsoil?

0w16 isn’t a good oil. It’s too thin for all the cars they make. . They only recommend it for cafe fuel mileage standards. Toyota is having all the issues with the cars that run that thin oil. I know AMSOIL is the best oil that money can buy but I wouldn’t run anything that thin in a car that calls for it. My step moms rav 4 had less than 140k on it and had severe blow by from having that thin 0w20 ran in it.

The thickness of the oil has nothing to do with the film strength it's the quality of oil and fuel dilution if you have no fuel dilution the engine will have very little where with Amsoil also it's not much of a difference because it's not even 10% difference in thickness from 020 very small difference. This may very well be the best motor oil on the market… however I would never trust a claim that you can you run it up to 25000 miles in between oil changes, I don’t care what it is, it should never go beyond 5000 miles.

Amsoil is different it's 100% synthetic where the other oils that are called full synthetic can be called full synthetic when they're only 25% synthetic so the way the oil oxidizes and thickens is different also the filters are different this is a oil analysis at 25,000 miles - kzread.info/dash/bejne/aKR7zLGudKnVZag.htmlsi=7hBvwO_VwGfq_4sM

apparently u know & understand ALL/MORE about lubrication than AMSOIL does after making oil since 1972... i hav 'abused' their oil many times over the years & hav NEVER had a problem, ever, NOT 1... had it tested & came out pretty darn good... 5k oil changes r bak f/the 'OLD DAYZ' wen ur dad changed hiz own oil, like mine did & taught me... i can remember changing oil on hiz 1961 chevy in 1961 wen we mite change oil as low as after 1600 miles... 'real oil' was real 'crappy' bak then... 🤮 also u will get better MPG...
