Some San Francisco high school students will get a unique opportunity thanks to a new partnership with a nonprofit. ICA Cristo Rey Academy held an event for incoming students. They learned their school is teaming up with the All Stars Project, which aids youth development beyond the classroom. The nonprofit will help the school with its corporate work-study program, which pair students with law firms, banks, and offices to get real-world experience in a professional environment.
A student who took part shared her experience: “Getting a feel of the office environment and being professional, and meeting new people, as well as learning how to communicate with adults, and your superiors.
Both girls said the number one thing they learned was how to be confident, a skill they hope to carry with them into college and their careers.
