Thank you I was wondering how to fix mine
Is there a power port on the back of the center console? If there is you have no problem because in the kit they sell a Doctor harness.

how is the range on the fobs? as good as the factory fob? I have a fob from amazon and the range is terrible. I have to be almost on top of the car for it work.

I think it’s actually a little bit better than my original fob! I’ve never actually seen how far I can go before it stops working but I know I’ve been a good 50 or 60 feet and it still worked perfect!
on amazon they ask chip or no chip which one you got?

Ok, so you know if it the newer remote will make the vehicle have remote start and open hatch if it wasn’t installed from the factory? My wife received a nice 2007 Tahoe from her aunt and I believe the keyfob she gave us is aftermarket (older simple one,) so I’m not sure what all options it had.

@@russelljordan2651 if it doesn’t come factory with those options they won’t work.. the lift gate is missing the entire motor assembly if it wasn’t a factory option and I think the remote start module isn’t installed as well if it wasn’t a factory option.

@losbrotherstires-wheels are you sure it’s made for your truck? The mother boards are different so one for a newer truck won’t work.
