As far as I’m concerned the 2001-2018 Patriots were a single Dynasty: Record: 220-68 (next best Steelers 188-98) 30-10 playoff record 9 Super Bowl appearances 6 Super Bowl wins Missed playoffs only twice; yet went 9-7 and 11-5. That’s DOMINANCE.

Time will tell. There are a lot of haters, but time heals all wounds. You know what happens Ian? People that hated the Patriots but saw them live have their hatred tempered by time. They'll wake up one day and say "I witnessed this."

@@LOTR_BTTF Haha! Well I do think the moon landings were fake. Patriots 2007 season was a major hoax. Here's my complete analysis of the Redskin game from that year: Video title: *2007 Week 8: Patriots vs Redskins* by uploader John Snyder *GAME WAS FAKE* 8:42 3rd & 6 means tight man-coverage. Anytime you see this it means the game is fake. Tom completes to an uncovered receiver with no Redskins even in the shot. Allowing conversion catches is proof that the games are rigged. 13:20 Comical play where Redskins don't even offer coverage to defend their own end zone. The Patriots were obviously scripted to score on their opening drive. (They usually are.) 14:40 #59 appears to allow Brady to score. He sees Brady run and converges quickly only to ease up at the end! 20:03 Despite losing by 7 points, Redskins continue to offer no coverage. Welker fair-catches! Game has been set to 'easy-mode' for the Patriots. In a real contest no team allows uncontested catches when they are losing. 21:07 The same player that allowed Brady to score (#59) now drops an easy interception. This was intentional as well. 22:02 Brady misses the super-wide open HB (intentionally left uncovered by the Redskins) and fails to convert. Redskins will appear to be inept on offense and quickly give the ball back so Tom can try, try again. This game is scripted for Tom to win big. 22:53 And what do you know? The Redskins seem _incapable_ of even basic competence on 1st down! They are making sure the Patriots get the ball back in good field position. 25:10 Huh? Is it _even possible_ to miss this throw so badly? Redskin QB has no pressure but cannot get close to delivering a competent pass. 30:20 If you watch the Redskin's front four, never once do any of them win a single match-up. In a real contest this would be impossible...all NFL teams have very big, strong and talented pass rushers. No pass protection can completely block them universally on every play. Yet this is what we are seeing. Yeah, it's fake. The Redskins are allowing themselves to be universally blocked to give Brady a clean pocket for every throw. 31:04 Brady deduces that the Redskins are not going to cover his HBs! The man is no genius but he will figure it out, eventually. Comical ineptitude by the redskins! 32:31 Tom is allowed the easiest passing TD in earth history. Comedy gold! 32:59 Interesting to watch the fake handoff and Redskin #21 Sean Taylor...Tom's fake is obvious and it's clear that the RB _does not_ have the ball in his hands...Yet the Redskin safety just ignores Vrabel and hits the RB anyway! He seems to allow the easy TD, deliberately. Even Aikman seems stunned that the Redskins had no interest in covering Vrabel. 35:38 Patriots are willing to use tight man-coverage on 3rd down even though they are winning by 14. Yet we have seen the Redskins refuse to offer tight man coverage and simply allow easy conversion catches to totally uncovered receivers... _even though they are losing._ 36:16 Refs call a hold on #60 for doing the _exact same thing_ the Patriot O-Line does on EVERY pass play of the game. Part of the way the games are rigged is to allow unlimited holding by the Patriot O-Line with no penalization. (A token flag is thrown about once per game in the interest of verisimilitude.) This allowance for holding, horse-collaring and shoving in the back makes any linemen into an all-pro level protector. Which is why Patriots never bother drafting linemen...a random group of free-agents is as good as anyone when allowed to hold liberally. 36:42 Tom has all day as usual, but still cannot deliver an accurate throw to a short range receiver. This is 'greatness'. 38:16 Tom tries a 'back shoulder' pass and relies on the obliviousness of the Redskin #24...who manages to remain _so oblivious_ to all that transpires that he lets the football bounce right off his head rather than intercept Tom's pass. _This is the norm._ Every defender's I.Q. seems to plummet when they step onto a field with Tom Brady. 38:33 Did that _really_ go through the uprights? Not exactly... but _it's the Patriots_ ...not like the Refs aren't giving them every benefit of the doubt! 50:36 Redskins continue to ignore Patriot HB! No way this could keep happening in an actual contest. It's hard to understand how fans could accept this as a real game . Folks, it is absolutely impossible for the Redskins not to understand the need to cover all receivers. They clearly _want_ to help the Patriots, do they not? 51:20 Redskins continue to ignore Wes Welker! Again and again we see the tiny receiver play catch with Tom as the Redskins ignore him. Yet the 'Skins are losing by 17 points! How are they not interested in man-coverage on the Patriot receivers? 52:23 Redskins in 'Prevent'? How is this even possible? You don't play super-soft when you are losing by 17 points! The fans at this 'game' must think the Redskins are mentally impaired at this point! 55:47 Here we see the Patriots in a *Redskin formation* haha. Prevent defense! (Of course, this is the only time it seemed to make some sense.) Never has a team looked more disinterested in competition than the Redskins were in this 1st half of this farcical 'football game' haha. 58:38 The scoreboard says 24-0 in favor of the Patriots, yet the Redskins remain in Prevent and allow a very silly screen pass to develop ever so slowly with no defenders anywhere near the receiver? It's as if the Redskins think _they're_ up by 24 points? This defies all conceivable logic, _does it not?_ 59:18 Huh? _10-yard cushions?_ The Redskins should just wear Patriot uniforms! They are very obviously doing everything humanly possible to assist the Patriots to have a successful drive, _are they not?_ 59:53 This graphic says the Redskins *are capable* of playing pass defense? They had held opponents to the lowest passer rating in the league? Haha! My head gonna explode! (This absurdly obvious lay-down & surrender game aside, the 'Skins actually made the playoffs in '07.) 1:00:19 Again the Redskins provide 10-yards of uncontested field and allow an easy conversion catch. Despite losing 24-0 it's hard to detect the presence of Redskin coverage anywhere on the field. Is this really an episode of 'The Twilight Zone'? It certainly isn't a real football contest, as we can see. The game is so obviously phony that let's just stop it here and address the issue of 'verisimilitude'... *BUT WHY DON'T THE ANNOUNCERS ADMIT THIS ISN'T A REAL FOOTBALL GAME?* By now the two guys announcing this silly 'game' should, logically, have informed the audience that the game is not real. _Yet they never do any such thing._ WHY? It's because the entire telecast is a presentation of the National Football League. _The entire telecast._ So even the announcers are actually working for the NFL. They are not independent observers. Their job is to _portray_ the game as being 'real'. They are like actors _playing the parts_ of announcers. This is 'verisimilitude' - the appearance of authenticity. It is merely an appearance, or semblance. The audience is tricked into thinking of the game as 'real' because the announcers seem to consider it to be real. The audience doesn't realize the announcers are part of a teleplay, or fictional presentation.

Was not bad the second time around actually, made the playoffs twice, the only time they’ve looked half competent under Snyder. Unfortunately by 2007 the team was stuck in the past when compared to a team like the Patriots, however they did go on to make the playoffs this same season.

I remember having to do something during this game. Can't remember what exactly given that I was a child at the time, but I know I got back, flipped on the TV to see what the score was and just said something along the lines of 'sheesh'. That's my memory of the '07 Pats. It just felt like they could drop 30, 40, or even 50 points with relative ease and all you could do was just shake your head in amazement. Absolutely dominant... until they weren't.

One of the most important elements of this team's success, the offensive line, often goes unacknowledged. But it was a great run. Look at the RB's - they're often five yards downfield before anyone on defense can even touch them. They pass protected like SOBs too. Later in the season when the o-line lost some starters, the team declined from the great heights of Week 8.

There was a lot of talk about the Patriots running up the score; going for it on 4th and 1, and then passing with a 38-0 lead. The football gods frowned upon this and bestowed the ultimate cruelty in the form ofDavid Tyree. Then, as a follow-up, they protected TB12 from any late hits by frustrated defenders this year, only to launch Bernard Pollard into TB's knee in the following season opener. Brady was forced to miss the 2008 season as penance for upsetting the football gods.

They thought these actions unbefitting and struck down their perfect season. Then, they sent a reminder about the risks of injury, in the form of Bernard Pollard, in a way that was legal at the time.
