I think a lot of it is that a lot of stormchasers are now livestreaming and using high quality cameras/drones, whereas in the past, their income was driven purely by selling their pictures and videos to news stations. Those news stations would select only a few clips to show, but thanks to streaming, viewers can watch the entire chase from beginning to end.

The role of climate change in exacerbating extreme weather events like tornadoes cannot be ignored. Are we taking sufficient action?
@Trahzy

@@visiontv68 What change? Tornadoes are nothing new, and there's no increase. There were worse tornadoes than this in the 1800s.
@visiontv68
Ай бұрын
@@Trahzy While tornadoes themselves are not new phenomena, there is evidence to suggest that climate change may be contributing to an increase in their frequency and intensity in certain regions. Additionally, advancements in technology and population growth mean that tornadoes, even if they occur at similar rates to the past, can now cause more significant damage and pose greater risks to communities. It's essential to consider historical context alongside current trends when discussing tornado activity.
@Trahzy
Ай бұрын
@@visiontv68 There isn't an increase in there severity and intensity though. 1925 was still the if not one of the 5 worst of all time, there hasn't been an EF5 in 11 years, and 1974 and 2011 remain the worst outbreaks. There is no "steady increase" in frequency or intensity. There's always active and inactive seasons, just like with hurricanes.

Should there be stricter regulations on storm chasers to prevent them from putting themselves and others in danger?
Hi, May I share the most important news you will ever hear in your life? God the Father sent His holy Son Jesus Christ(Y'shua Ha' Mashiach) from heaven to earth, to be born of a virgin. He grew up and died on the cross for our sins. He was put into a tomb for 3 days, and then Abba Father raised Jesus to life and He appeared to people and went back to Heaven. We must all sincerely receive Jesus to be a true child of God. It says in John 1:12 "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name." Will you genuinely believe on Christ Jesus and truly receive Him today, before it is too late?
